OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read the instructions carefully before operating or servicing the dehumidifier. Observe all the safety instructions; failure to observe the instructions may lead to accidents and/or damage. Keep these instructions in a safe place for future reference.

The Refrigerant R290

• To realize the function of the air conditioner unit, a special refrigerant circulates in the system. The refrigerant is the fluoride R290 = 3 GWP (Global warming potential). This refrigerant is flammable and inodorous. It can lead to explosions under certain conditions, however the flammability of this refrigerant is very low and it can be ignited only by fire.
• Compared to other common refrigerants, R290 is a non-polluting refrigerant with no harm to the ozonosphere and a no effect upon the greenhouse effect. R290 has very good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy efficiency. The units therefore need less filling.

Warning:
Do not try to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean the appliance in different ways other than those recommended by the manufacturer. Should repair be necessary, contact your nearest authorized Service Centre. Any repairs carried out by unqualified personnel may be dangerous. The appliance has to be stored in a room that doesn’t have any continuously operating ignition sources. (for example: open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater.) Do not pierce or burn. The appliance has to be installed, used and stored in a room with a floor area larger than 14 m2.

GENERAL OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• This appliance is a highly efficient dehumidifier, designed for domestic use only!
• Use this dehumidifier only as outlined in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or malfunctions.
• The unit contains refrigerant; keep it vertical at all times.
• Once you have opened the unit, keep it vertical to allow the refrigerant to stabilise and wait two hours before operating it.
• Ensure that the required voltage and frequency (220-240V/50Hz) match the available power source.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Make sure the plug is inserted fully. Do not use multiple adapters. Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Make sure the plug is clean.
• Children aged between 3 and 8 years must only be able to turn the appliance on/off, provided that the appliance has been placed in its normal operating position, that instructions have been given on how to use the equipment safely, and that its risks have been understood.
• Children aged between 3 and 8 years must not be able to plug in, adjust, clean or perform any maintenance on the appliance.
• Disconnect the mains power when the appliance is not in use or during cleaning operations. Keeping the appliance plugged in may cause electric shocks or accidents.
• To disconnect the appliance, set the switch to OFF and remove the plug from the socket. Only pull on the plug. Do not pull the cord.
• Do not bend, drag or twist the cord, or apply force to remove it. Do not operate the unit if its cable or plug are damaged; doing so can cause fires or electric shock. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a service centre.
• Do not place heavy objects on top of the appliance.
• To prevent water spills, empty the water tank before moving the appliance.
• Do not tilt the dehumidifier onto one side or turn it upside down, as the water which runs out could damage the appliance.
• Do not operate the unit on unstable or sloping surfaces: water leaks can cause it to malfunction or cause excessive vibration and running noise.
• The dehumidifier must be positioned at least 50 cm away from the wall or other obstacles, so that the heat can dissipate correctly.
• Close all open windows to maximise dehumidification efficiency.
• Do not insert objects or sharp instruments into the air outlet grille.
• Do not cover the air intake and outlet grilles in any way. WARNING! In the event of an anomaly, switch the appliance off and unplug it immediately. Do not dismantle, repair or modify this product freely. In the event of a malfunction, contact the after-sales service centre directly.
• Do not immerse the power cord, plug or any other part of the appliance in water or other liquids.
• Do not expose the dehumidifier to direct sunlight.
• Keep the appliance well away from sources of heat which could cause plastic parts to become warped.
• Do not spray insecticides, oils or paints near the appliance; doing so may damage its plastic parts or start a fire.
• Keep flammable gases and oils away from the appliance!
• Do not move the appliance while it is operating; doing so can cause leaks and malfunction.

The following space must be maintained to ensure the operating efficiency of the dehumidifier.

PRE-OPERATING CHECKS AND OPERATIONS

Before using the appliance, make sure the condensate collection tank is correctly positioned.

1. Remove the tank following the direction of the arrow.
2. Remove from the tank the bubble plastic bag which contains the 4 wheels and the cable reel
3. Reposition the tank, closing it perfectly4. Tilt the dehumidifier no more than 45° and remove the 4 rubber plugs, which will be replaced by 4 wheels that are inside the tank.
4. Position the wheels on the 4 holes and push until the wheels are set firmly in place.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

APPLIANCE START-UP

Place the product on a flat and stable heat-resistant surface, at least 1 metre away from flammable or heat-sensitive materials and 50 cm away from walls or other obstructions.
Make sure the water tank is in the correct position. Connect the power cord to a suitable electric socket (220-240V/50Hz). Turn the appliance on with ON/OFF on the control panel. The unit emits a “beep” signal and the corresponding LED lights up. The dehumidifier is designed to operate at ambient temperatures from + 5°C to + 32°C. If it is operated at low temperatures, ice may form on the evaporator, degrading its operation. When this happens, the dehumidifier goes into defrost mode. The compressor stops, but the fan continues running. The defrosting operation may start up and operate for some minutes; during the defrosting operation, the dehumidification function may intermit: please don’t turn off the switch or pull out the power plug of the dehumidifier. We recommend not using the dehumidifier in room temperatures lower than 5°C. Do not remove the tank when the unit is in operation. If you wish to make continuous draining of condensate, follow the instructions in the dedicated paragraph.

OPERATING PRECAUTIONS

The dehumidifier starts only if the humidity level in the room is higher than the set one. The dehumidifier will continue to operate until the set humidity level is reached, except for any interruptions due to filling the tank. When the water tank is full, the compressor stops running immediately and dehumidification stops; the fan stops after 3 minutes. Empty the tank and reposition it: after carrying out these operations, the unit will start operating again. After the machine has reached the set humidity ≤-5% RH of the set humidity, the compressor stops immediately while the fan stops after 9 minutes. When the humidity in the room is greater than or equal to the humidity set + 5% RH, the machine will start working again.
WARNING:
When the dehumidifier is running, the compressor produces heat and the appliance emits warm air into the room. The room temperature will therefore tend to increase. This is completely normal.

TURNING THE DEHUMIDIFIER OFF

To turn the dehumidifier off press the ON/OFF button. This shuts off power to the unit. Unplug the appliance if you do not intend to use it for some time.

HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATE

The water extracted from the air can be collected in the provided front tank. When the tank is full, not inserted or not correctly inserted, the FULL TANK led turns on and the unit beeps for about 10 seconds, at the end of which the unit turns off. To switch off the appliance, press the ON/OFF button and wait a few seconds.

1. Carefully remove the tank and following the direction of the arrow.
2.  Empty the tank.
3.  Reposition the tank following the direction of the arrow.

N.B. Do not use the drain hose when you are collecting condensation in the tank, otherwise water can leak out of the hose.

CONTINUOUS CONDENSATE DRAINAGE

The water can be continuously drained when using a PVC hose with an inner diameter of 14 mm (not supplied). Turn off the appliance and remove the plug before connecting the hose.

Remove the cap and safely connect the hose to the continuous condensate discharge connection, as shown in the figures below. The height of the drainage hose must not exceed that of the hole: do not block the drainage hose exit.

When disconnecting the tube, prepare a container to collect the remaining water from the tube.

CONTROL PANEL

Each time the button is pressed, the unit emits an auditory signal.
BUTTONS & LEDS

1. POWER BUTTON: press this button to turn the dehumidifier on and off.
2. FAN SPEED BUTTON: press this button to adjust the ventilation speed (Low, High).
3. HUMIDITY BUTTON: press this button to adjust the % of humidity to desired value (30-80%) – each step 5%
4. ON/OFF TIMER BUTTON: Delayed on/off button. Allow to plan the on (if the unit is off) or the off (1-24 h)
5. FILTER BUTTON – After 250 hours of operation, the FILTER RESET led turns on to indicate that it is time to clean the filter. Take the filter out and clean it. Then press the FILTER button.
6. DISPLAY – it shows the relative humidity setting.
7. LED Filter: filter needs to be cleaned.
8. LED HIGH AND LOW FAN SPEED : it shows the set fan speed: High and Low.
9. LED TIMER: it shows that the timer is set.

LED Full: When the tank is full or it’s not correctly positioned the LED Full comes on and the appliance stops running. A 10 second beep sounds. Remove the tank and empty it (as indicated in “HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATION”), the restore it; the dehumidifier will start running again.
DEFROST: the dehumidifier is designed to operate at ambient temperatures from + 5°C to + 32°C.
If it is operated at low temperatures, ice may form on the evaporator, degrading its operation.
When this happens, the dehumidifier goes into defrost mode. The compressor stops, but the fan continues running. We recommend not using the dehumidifier in room temperatures lower than 5°C.
MEMORY FUNCTION: the dehumidifier starts up again after a power failure keeping last settings.
AUTOSTOP FUNCTION: if the humidity it’s lower than 5% respect to the one set by the humidifier automatically it stop.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE OF THE HUMIDIFIER’S EXTERIOR SURFACE 

Warning
Always pull the dehumidifier’s plug out of the power socket before cleaning it, to prevent electric shock and malfunction.
Warning
Do not wet the appliance or immerse it in water, otherwise electric shocks may occur. Use a damp and soft cloth to clean the exterior surface of the dehumidifier. Do not use solvents, petrol, xylene, talcum powder or brushes to clean the unit: these may damage the surface or colour of the casing.

CLEANING THE WATER TANK

We advise removing the tank once every few weeks to prevent mould and bacteria forming on it. Fill the tank with clean water a small amount of detergent; swill the water around in it, then it out and rinse it thoroughly.

CLEANING THE AIR FILTER

The filter is designed to remove dust or dirt from the air. If the filter is clogged by dust, electricity consumption will be higher than normal. Cleaning instructions:

1. Remove the filter by simultaneously pressing “push” on the top left and right of the filter with 2 hands. Clean the filter washing it with warm soapy water. DO NOT USE ALCOHOL, BENZENE OR OTHER AGGRESSIVE PRODUCTS TO CLEAN THE FILTER. Leave the filter to dry naturally, then reposition it in its slot. Do not use hair dryer or fire to dry the filter. Do not use sponges or brushes to clean the filter because can damage it.

Do not use the dehumidifier without the filter as dust may affect the efficiency of the evaporator, resulting in higher energy consumption.

• Fuse style 5ET or SMT 250V, the electricity passing through the fuse cannot be above 3.15A.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Ensure that the electricity system is able to deliver the operating current required by the air conditioner, in addition to that normally absorbed by other appliances (household appliances, lighting system, etc.). Please refer to the maximum power input data indicated on the air conditioner’s data plate.
• Connection to the electricity grid must take place in accordance with current installation standards.
• Ensure that the automatic switches and system protection valves are able to withstand a start-up current of 6A (normally for less than 1 second).
• The system socket must always be fitted with an efficient earth connection.
• Make sure that the plug is fully inserted. Do not use multiple adapters. Do not touch the plug with wet hands. Make sure that the plug is clean.
• Do not use the plug as a means by which to start/stop the air conditioner: use the ON/OFF button on the remote control or on the control panel.
• Do not install the air conditioner in rooms where it may receive water splashes (e.g. laundry rooms).
• This air conditioner can be used by children of 8 years of age or older, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory and mental abilities or who lack the necessary know-how and experience to operate it, if under the supervision or instruction of a person responsible for their safety, so that they are fully aware of the attendant risks.
• Before moving or cleaning the device, ensure that it is unplugged from the socket.
• Do not move the air conditioner while it is operating; first turn the appliance off, check for any condensate build-up and empty it if necessary.

PRE-OPERATING CHECKS AND OPERATIONS

The following space must be maintained to ensure the operating efficiency of the portable air conditioner.

APPLIANCE START-UP

Open the packaging and pull out the box. Remove the product and the other elements supplied (illustrated in the box below).

Position the product vertically on a flat and stable surface, as close as possible to a window and at least 50 cm from walls or other nearby obstacles.

USE WITH END FITTING FOR WINDOW

1. Stretch the flexible hose sufficiently so that it reaches the outside (max 1.5 m) and hook it to the rear part of the air conditioner.
2. Open the window and lock one of the two leaves with the handle.
   Rest the terminal connection on the fixed leaf, bring the other leaf of the window close.
3. Open the window and lock one of the two leaves with the handle.

USE WITH WINDOW UNIT KIT 

1. To make the hole in the glass it is advisable to take the porthole kit accessory to the glazier.
2. Insert the window unit into the window.
3. Insert the round fitting into the retractable flexible pipe and insert the latter with its round fitting into the window unit without the plug.
4. Insert the round fitting onto the flexible pipe.
5. Insert the flexible pipe thus mounted into the rear of the air conditioner.

Connect the power cord to a suitable electric socket (220–240 V). Insert the supplied batteries into the remote control and make sure the poles match. Select the desired operating mode from the remote control.
Avoid tight bends or folds in the hose.

If the air conditioner is not used for prolonged periods, disconnect the pipe and plug the window unit.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE

This appliance can be used for cooling, dehumidifying and ventilation purposes.
Before using the appliance, leave it standing erect for at least two hours.
When switching between modes, the fan continues to turn but the compressor stops: the compressor will re-start after 3 minutes. This delay protects the compressor from potential damage.

THE DRAINAGE TUBE MUST BE CONNECTED to the appliance AT ALL TIMES: the only exception is when the appliance is used in dehumidification mode only, in which case the appliance should be left to discharge directly into the room for maximum efficiency (see the “Dehumidification Mode” paragraph).
Clean the air filters under the easily removable rear grille regularly to keep the air conditioner working efficiently.

OPERATING MODES

1. COOLING MODE
   • The “Cool” LED on the control panel will turn on.
   • The temperature can be adjusted to between 16 °C and 31 °C.
   • In this mode, each time the ON/OFF button is pressed the unit switches off, the appliance saves the temperature setting and retains this setting when it is switched on again.
   • In this mode, the fan speed can be adjusted and the Timer and SLEEP functions can be set.
   • For more silent operation, run the fan at low speed.
2. DEHUMIDIFICATION MODE (DRY)
   • Press the MODE button to select the dehumidification mode.
   • The temperature is controlled by the electronic board and cannot be adjusted.
   • In this mode, each time the ON/OFF button is pressed the unit switches off, the appliance saves the settings and retains them when it is switched on again.
   • The fan speed is set to low and cannot be adjusted.
     NOTE:
     The air conditioner does not cool the room when operating as a dehumidifier.
     When the appliance is used as a dehumidifier, the flexible pipe must not be connected.
     For maximum dehumidification efficiency, leave the rear discharge attachment free to discharge directly into the environment.
     The dehumidification mode is recommended during autumn and winter.
     If used during summer, it is best to leave the flexible pipe attached so that the hot air is discharged towards the outside rather than into the room.
     During dehumidification, continuous drainage should be implemented (see the next chapter, “HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATE”).
3. FAN MODE
   • Press the MODE button to select ventilation until the corresponding icon appears.
   • In this mode, the fan speed can be adjusted.
   • The temperature cannot be adjusted.

HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATE

Cooling

This appliance automatically vaporises condensate in the cooling mode. Ensure that when the unit is operating in cooling mode, the rubber caps closing the drainage holes on the rear of the appliance are properly positioned.

When the air conditioner operates in cooling mode, there is no need for continuous condensate drainage; only in specific weather conditions with very high air humidity levels may water deposit inside the unit. When the container is full, the “Full” LED (full tank) lights up on the control panel to signal that full status and block the appliance’s operation.

To empty the container, switch the air conditioner off and unplug it. Remove the cap form the rear drainage hole and direct it over a normal drain.
Ensure that the tube is not twisted or bent. The tube must slope downwards. Re-close the drainage hole with the cap and resume use of the air conditioner.

Continuous drainage Dehumidification
WARNING!
When using the air conditioner in dehumidification mode, it is advisable to always arrange for continuous drainage, so as to maximise dehumidification efficiency.
Connect one end of the PVC pipe (not provided) to the upper discharge hole and place the other end above a drain.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION

1. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
2. Insert alkaline batteries (type AAA, LR03/1.5 V – not provided) compliant with Battery Directive no.2006/66/EC and amendments Directive 2013/56/EC into the remote control and make sure the poles match.
3. Put the cover back on.
4. Point the remote control towards the receiver on the air conditioner.
5. The remote control should be positioned within 6 metres from the receiver.
6. There must be no obstacles between the remote control and the receiver.
7. Do not drop or launch the remote control.
8. Do not leave the remote control under strong sunlight or heating devices and other source of heat.
9. Remove the batteries from the remote control when the latter is not used for a long time.
10. If no sound is heard and the transmission symbol on the display does not flash, the batteries must be replaced.
11. If the system resets when the remote control button is pressed, the electrical signal is poor and the batteries must be replaced.
12. Flat batteries must be disposed of correctly.

INFORMATION FOR THE CORRECT DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES IN ACCORDANCE WITH EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE 2006/66/EC and amendments Directive 2013/56/EC

Replace batteries when they are depleted. At the end of their life, batteries must be disposed of separately from unsorted waste. They must be taken to designated recycling centres or returned to a retailer providing this service. Separate disposal of batteries prevents potential negative effects on the environment and human health due to inadequate disposal, and also allows for recovering and recycling their constituent materials, resulting in significant savings in terms of energy and resources. The separate disposal obligation is underlined by the crossed-out dustbin symbol appearing on the battery. Illegal disposal of the product by the user implies administrative sanctions applied as per current regulations.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operations, unplug the appliance.

Cleaning the air filters

The air filters must be checked at least once every two weeks of use. Operating the appliance with dirty or clogged filters will decrease the air conditioner’s efficiency and may cause serious problems.
To remove the upper filter, loosen the central screw and pull the grille’s lever.

Use a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust from the filters. Should this not suffice, wash the filter with lukewarm water and some neutral detergent (if necessary), then rinse it thoroughly in cold water and leave it to dry in air before putting it back in place. Once the filter has been replaced, close the grille and resume use of the air conditioner.

Cleaning the casing.
Use a damp and soft cloth to clean the outer surface of the appliance.
Do not use excessively hot water, solvents, petrol or other aggressive chemical compounds, talcum powder or brushes: these may damage the surface or colour of the casing.
Remove any stains using lukewarm water with a little neutral detergent.
Do not pour water onto the air conditioner to clean it, as this may damage its internal components or cause a short-circuit.

Storage.
When the air conditioner is not expected to be used for a long time, clean the filters before storing it away.
Keep the appliance in a vertical position at all times. Do not place heavy objects on top of the air conditioner. It is advisable to protect the appliance with a plastic sheet.

Transport.
Transport the air conditioner in the vertical position.
Should this not be possible, rest it on its right-hand side; when the appliance reaches its final destination, place it immediately in the vertical position and wait at least 4 hours before operating it in cooling mode.

For complete safety, regularly check the condition of the power cord; should it be damaged as a result of wear, contact the Service Centre to replace it.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Read the instructions carefully before operating the appliance or carrying out maintenance work.

The Refrigerant R290

• To realize the function of the air conditioner unit, a special refrigerant circulates in the system. The refrigerant is the fluoride R290 = 3 GWP (Global warming potential). This refrigerant is flammable and inodorous. It can lead to explosions under certain conditions, however the flammability of this refrigerant is very low and it can be ignited only by fire.
• Compared to other common refrigerants, R290 is a non-polluting refrigerant with no harm to the ozonosphere and a no effect upon the greenhouse effect. R290 has very good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy efficiency. The units therefore need less filling.

Warning:
Do not try to accelerate the defrosting process or to clean the appliance in different ways other
than those recommended by the manufacturer. Should repair be necessary, contact your nearest authorizedArgoclima Service Centre. Any repairs carried out by unqualified personnel may be dangerous. The appliance has to be stored in a room that doesn’t have any continuously operating ignition sources. (for example: open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater.) GENERAL OPERATING AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Do not use the plug as a means by which to start/stop the air conditioner: use the ON/OFF button on the remote control or on the control panel.
• Do not install the air conditioner in rooms where it may receive water splashes (e.g. laundry rooms).

• Ensure that air circulates freely around the unit. Do not cover the air intake and delivery grilles with drapes or any other means.

• The air conditioner must be positioned at least 50 cmfrom the wall or any other obstacles, on a flat and stable surface so as to avoid water leaks.
• The air conditioner is fitted with a system for protecting the compressor from overload. This means that the compressor only starts 3 minutes after its previous stoppage.
• Please wait at least 3 minutes before starting the unit. This helps prevent the compressor from being damaged.

WARNING!
In the event of an anomaly, switch the appliance off and unplug it from the socket. Do not dismantle or attempt to repair or modify the product. In the event of a malfunction, contact the service centre directly.

PRE-OPERATING CHECKS AND OPERATIONS

The following space must be maintained to ensure the operating efficiency of the portable air conditioner.

APPLIANCE START-UP

Open the packaging and pull out the box. Remove the product and the other elements supplied (illustrated in the box below).

Position the product vertically on a flat and stable surface, as close as possible to a window and at least 50 cm from walls or other nearby obstacles.

USE WITH END FITTING FOR WINDOW

1. Stretch the flexible hose sufficiently so that it reaches the outside (max 1.5 m) and hook it to the rear part of the air conditioner.                                  
2. Open the window and lock one of the two leaves with the handle.
   Rest the terminal connection on the fixed leaf,bring the other leaf of the window close.

USE WITH WINDOW UNIT KIT

1. To make the hole in the glass it is advisable to take the porthole kit accessory to the glazier.
2. Insert the window unit into the window.                          
3. Insert the round fitting into the retractable flexible pipe and insert the latter with its round fitting into the window unit without the plug.                             
4. Insert the round fitting onto the flexible pipe.                    
5. Insert the flexible pipe thus mounted into the rear of the air conditioner.

If the air conditioner is not used for prolonged periods, disconnect the pipe and plug the window unit. Connect the power cord to a suitable electric socket (220–240 V). Insert the supplied batteries into the remote control and make sure the poles match. Select the desired operating mode from the remote control.

HOW TO USE THE APPLIANCE

This appliance can be used for cooling, dehumidifying and ventilation purposes.
Before using the appliance, leave it standing erect for at least two hours.

When switching between modes, the fan continues to turn but the compressor stops: the compressor will re-start after 3 minutes. This delay protects the compressor from potential damage.

THE DRAINAGE TUBE MUST BE CONNECTED to the appliance AT ALL TIMES: the only exception is when the appliance is used in dehumidification mode only, in which case the appliance should be left to discharge directly into the room for maximum efficiency (see the “Dehumidification Mode” paragraph). Clean the air filters under the easily removable rear grille regularly to keep the air conditioner working efficiently.

OPERATING MODES

1. COOLING MODE

• The “Cool” LED on the control panel will turn on.
• The temperature can be adjusted to between 16 °C and 31 °C.
• In this mode, each time the ON/OFF button is pressed the unit switches off, the appliance saves the temperature setting and retains this setting when it is switched on again.
• In this mode, the fan speed can be adjusted and the Timer and SLEEP functions can be set.
• For more silent operation, run the fan at low speed.

2. DEHUMIDIFICATION MODE (DRY)

• Press the MODE button to select the dehumidification mode.
• The temperature is controlled by the electronic board and cannot be adjusted.
• In this mode, each time the ON/OFF button is pressed the unit switches off, the appliance saves the settings and retains them when it is switched on again.
• The fan speed is set to low and cannot be adjusted.

NOTE
The air conditioner does not cool the room when operating as a dehumidifier.
When the appliance is used as a dehumidifier, the flexible pipe must not be connected.
For maximum dehumidification efficiency, leave the rear discharge attachment free to discharge directly into the environment.
The dehumidification mode is recommended during autumn and winter.

If used during summer, it is best to leave the flexible pipe attached so that the hot air is discharged towards the outside rather than into the room.

During dehumidification, continuous drainage should be implemented (see the next chapter, “HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATE”).

3. FAN MODE

• Press the MODE button to select ventilation until the corresponding icon appears.
• In this mode, the fan speed can be adjusted.
• The temperature cannot be adjusted.

HOW TO ELIMINATE CONDENSATE

Manual drainage

Cooling
This appliance automatically vaporises condensate in the cooling mode. Ensure that when the unit is operating in cooling mode, the rubber caps closing the drainage holes on the rear of the appliance are properly positioned.

When the air conditioner operates in cooling mode, there is no need for continuous condensate drainage; only in specific weather conditions with very high air humidity levels may water deposit inside the unit. When the container is full, the “Full” LED (full tank) lights up on the control panel to signal that full status and block the appliance’s operation.

To empty the container, switch the air conditioner off and unplug it. Remove the cap form the rear drainage hole and direct it over a normal drain. Ensure that the tube is not twisted or bent. The tube must slope downwards. Re-close the drainage hole with the cap and resume use of the air conditioner.

WARNING!
When using the air conditioner in dehumidification mode, it is advisable to always arrange for continuous drainage, so as to maximise dehumidification efficiency.

Connect one end of the PVC pipe (not provided) to the upper discharge hole and place the other end above a drain.

REMOTE CONTROL OPERATION

1. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
2. Insert alkaline batteries (type AAA, LR03/1.5 V – not provided) compliant with Battery Directive no.2006/66/EC and amendments Directive 2013/56/EC into the remote control and make sure the poles match.
3. Put the cover back on.
4. Point the remote control towards the receiver on the air conditioner.
5. The remote control should be positioned within 6 metres from the receiver.
6. There must be no obstacles between the remote control and the receiver.
7. Do not drop or launch the remote control.
8. Do not leave the remote control under strong sunlight or heating devices and other source of heat.
9. Remove the batteries from the remote control when the latter is not used for a long time.
10.  If no sound is heard and the transmission symbol on the display does not flash, the batteries must be replaced.
11. If the system resets when the remote control button is pressed, the electrical signal is poor and the batteries must be replaced.
12. Flat batteries must be disposed of correctly.

Read the instructions carefully before operating the panel or carrying out maintenance operations. Observe all the safety instructions; failure to observe the instructions may lead to accidents and/or damages. Store these instructions.

GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

• Use this product only as outlined in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock
  or injury to persons.
• Ensure that the mains voltage complies with that indicated on the panel heater data plate (220-240V/50-60Hz).
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Remove the product from its packaging and check that it is in good condition before use. Keep any plastic bags away from children.
• Check the cord and plug before using the panel to ensure that they have not been damaged during transport.
• This product is not a toy.
• Children under the age of 3 must be kept away if not continuously supervised.
• Children aged between 3 and 8 must only turn the appliance on / off as long as it has been placed or installed in its normal operating position and that they receive surveillance or instructions regarding the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers.
• Children between 3 and 8 years of age must not insert the plug, adjust or clean the appliance or carry out maintenance by the user.
  CAUTION – Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
•  WARNING: In order to avoid hazards due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through and external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.
  WARNING: DO NOT USE THE RADIATOR WITH A CONTROLLER OR ANY OTHER EXTERNAL DEVICE THAT ACTIVATES THE APPLIANCE AUTOMATICALLY, AS THERE MAY BE A RISK OF FIRE IF THE FAN HEATER IS COVERED OR INCORRECTLY POSITIONED.
• Disconnect the mains power when the appliance is not used or for cleaning operations.
• To disconnect the radiator, push the switches to OFF and remove the plug from the socket. Pull-on the plug only. Do not pull the
  cord.
• Avoid placing fingers or foreign objects in the air inlet/outlet grilles, as this may lead to electric shock or fire and may damage the unit. To avoid the risk of fire, do not block the grilles or tamper with them in any way while the panel heater operates.
• Do not use the product if the cord or plug is damaged. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its
  technical assistance service or in any case by a person with a similar qualification, in order to prevent any risk.
• Do not place any objects on the cord and do not bend it. During the operation, the cord must be entirely unwound.
• It is not advisable to use extension cords, as these may overheat and cause the risk of fire. Do not use a single extension cord to operate more than one panel.
• The radiator heats up significantly during operation. Risk of burn.
• To avoid injury, do not allow the skin to come into contact with a hot surface. Use the handle to move the panel. Keep flammable aterials such as furniture, cushions, blankets, paper, clothes, curtains, and similar at a distance of 1 meter.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any other element of the panel in water or other liquids.
• Do not touch the plug or panel with wet hands.
• Avoid using the radiator in dusty environments or in the presence of flammable vapors (e.g. in workshops or garages).
• Do not place the radiator above or near another heat source.
  WARNING: AVOID COVERING THE PANEL HEATER TO PREVENT IT FROM OVERHEATING.

• The radiator may cause risk of fire if, while in operation, is covered by or comes into contact with flammable material including curtains, drapery, blankets, etc. KEEP THE RADIATOR AWAY FROM THESE MATERIALS.
• Do not insert and avoid accidental insertion of any external objects into the ventilation or discharge outlets as this may lead to electric
  shock, fire or damage the panel.
• A radiator contains parts that generate arcs or sparks. It must not be used in potentially dangerous areas such as areas at risk of fire
  or explosion, or areas loaded with chemical substances or humidity.
• Do not use the radiator on soft surfaces such as beds, where the grilles may be covered. Always stand the panel heater on a flat,
  stable surface when in operation, in order to prevent it from overturning. Arrange the cord in such a way that the radiator and
  other objects do not rest on it. Do not run the cord under carpets.
  Do not cover the cord with blankets, carpets or similar materials.
  Place the cord far away from busy areas, or in a place where it cannot be accidentally pulled out.
• This radiator cannot be used in bathrooms, laundry rooms, next to a shower or swimming pool, or in similar indoor environments.
  Never position the radiator where it may fall into a bath or other containers of water.
• Never position the radiator on a wet floor.
• In any case, the adjustment knobs must never be accessible by anyone in a bath or shower.
• The heating appliance must not be positioned immediately below a power outlet.
• The socket must be earthed.
• Do not allow the electric cord to touch the mesh cover when the panel is hot or in operation, in order to avoid the high temperatures ruining the cord.
• Do not operate the panel heater outdoors. Do not use the radiator in front of or near an open window.
• Upon initial start-up, the radiator may emit a slight, harmless smell.
  This smell is a normal effect of the initial heating up of the internal heating elements, and should not recur later on.
• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the panel. The radiator does not contain parts that can be repaired by the user.
• Turn the switch off and unplug before carrying out any maintenance work or moving the panel heater. Always unplug from the socket when the radiator is not in use.
  WARNING: ALWAYS UNPLUG WHEN CARRYING OUT MAINTENANCE WORK OR MOVING THE RADIATOR.
• Do not place anything on the radiator; avoid placing wet garments on the radiator.
• Turn the appliance off if unattended in order to avoid accidents.
• If the product is not used for prolonged periods, disconnect the plug, replace the unit in its box and store it in a dry, ventilated place.
• Ensure that the air inlet /outlet are not close to walls or curtains when the panel is in use, so as to avoid obstructing the unit and hampering its efficiency.
• Should you hear an abnormal noise or detect an unusual smell when using the panel, cease use and unplug immediately.
• Do not use the radiator in rooms measuring less than 4 m².
• Do not expose the elderly or children to a continuous flow of air.
• Do not use the radiator if it has been dropped or damaged.

WARNING:
THE ON/OFF SWITCH IS NOT THE ONLY MEANS OF DISCONNECTING POWER. IF NOT IN USE, FOR MOVING OR FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE RADIATOR, SIMPLY REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SOCKET.

CAUTION:
This radiator is filled with a precise quantity of special oil. The repairs which require the opening of the radiator body (such as the loss of oil) must be made only by the manufacturer or service, which must be contacted in case of loss of oil.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

HOW TO INSTALL WHEELS

In the packaging, the radiator has no wheels, which must be mounted before the commissioning of the device. Do not operate the heater without the wheels assemblies attached to the bottom of the unit. Otherwise, there may be a risk of fire.

• Loosen the nuts and washers from the wheels.
• Attach the wheels to the axle with two metal washers and nuts.
• Turn over the radiator for easy assembly, make it sure that it’s stable with no fall risk.
• Remove the nuts from the screws U (1) and insert the screws U-shaped through holes in the assembly of the wheel as shown (Fig. 2 and 3), hang up the wing nut, and tighten firmly (fig. 4). Attention: do not over tighten, it may cause the damage of the radiator flange.
• Repeat the same for mounting the wheels at the front and the back of the radiator.
•  Return the device upright.

HOW TO USE THE RADIATOR

Choose a suitable place to position the radiator, considering the general safety warnings given in the first part of this manual. Only use this radiator in an upright position. Set all controls to OFF position, insert the plug into the electrical socket, ensuring that voltage is compliant with that specified on the convector data plate.
Rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to MAX (maximum) position and select the desired heat level switching the heater as follows: I low heat – II medium heat – III high heat
Room temperature can be regulated by rotating the thermostat clockwise to increase or counterclockwise to decrease temperature.
When the room reaches the desired temperature, slowly rotate the thermostat knob counterclockwise until the power indicator light goes out, thermostat can be now left at this setting.
When the room temperature has dropped below the set temperature, automatically the radiator will switch itself until the room temperature will be reached again. In this way the room temperature remains constant with the most economical use of electricity.
If you want to change the room temperature setting, rotate the thermostat knob clockwise to raise the temperature, of counterclockwise to lower it.
This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts off the heater when parts of the heater are getting excessively
hot.

HOW TO CLEAN THE RADIATOR

• Always unplug and leave the radiator to cool before cleaning.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the radiator exterior and remove dust. Leave the casing to dry before using the connector again.
• Do not immerse the heater into the water.
• Do not allow water to enter the radiator.
•  Do not use benzene, solvents or abrasive compounds to clean the radiator, as these may damage the casing.
• Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust from the air inlet/outlet grilles.
• Ensure that the radiator is dry before inserting the plug.
• Do not use metal tools to clean the convector radiator. Any metal fragments that may detach may come into contact with the panel’s electrical components and cause a short-circuit.
•  In the event of malfunctions or damages, always contact an authorized service center.

STORAGE OF RADIATOR

If the radiator is not used for prolonged periods, it must be stored together with this manual in its original packaging, in a cool and dry place. Never put the appliance away when still hot. Wind the power cord and out it in the special cable box. Always wait for it to cool down.
