Mercury Motion Sensing Visitor Chime – AVSL Specification

A light sensitive, motion activated door entry chime suitable for office and retail locations. With a range of up to 8 metres and 120° detection angle this unit comes supplied with an adjustable wall bracket enabling you to achieve the perfect coverage for your property.

Specification:

Features:

  • Chime sounds when movement is detected within a range of 5 to 8m of the unit.
  • 120° movement detection angle.
  • Low energy consumption in standby mode.
  • Simple ding-dong style melody.
  • Power on and battery condition LED.
  • Adjustable fixing bracket (supplied) or keyhole slot mounting.
  • Uses 2x AA batteries (not supplied).

Installation:

  • Install 2 x AA batteries in the chime before use, observing the polarity indicators within the battery compartment.
  • Install the unit in a dry area, away from heat and direct sunlight using the fixing bracket supplied for angular adjustment. Alternatively, fix the unit to a wall using a self-tapping screw, aligned with the keyhole slot to its rear for a fixed installation with no adjustment.
  • The optimum installation height for the chime is around 2-3m from ground level.
  • Switch on the chime using the power switch on the right-hand side of the unit. It will take around 30 seconds for the unit to stabilise and enter its normal detection state. In this time the LED indicator may blink a few times and is perfectly normal.
  • Once the unit is in normal operation mode, test the detection area by walking the normal path an intruder or visitor would take and adjust the angle of the mounting bracket if necessary.
  • Replace the batteries whenever the LED indicator on the chime becomes dim, continuously flashes or the alarm sounds repeatedly.

Warning:

  • For reasons of electrical safety, this device must never be immersed in water, exposed to damp conditions or excessive force.
  • Do not use this device if you find that it is damaged in any way.
  • Do not attempt to repair this device or take apart under any circumstances, as this will invalidate your warranty.
