Frequently Asked Questions

What codecs are supported by the Z407?

Z407 supports the SBC codec.

Replace the Z407 control dial batteries

If your control dial battery runs out, please replace both batteries at the same time. For the best results, we highly recommend that both AAA batteries are the same brand and model. Note that we only ensure 12 months of battery life with the batteries that are provided in the box.

Where to purchase a new Z407 wireless control dial?

You can purchase a new Logi Z407 wireless control dial from the products Spare Parts page. For more information on how to connect a new dial, please see Connect Z407 to a new wireless control dial.

NOTE: You cannot connect two dials to one speaker set at the same time.

Connect Z407 to a new wireless control dial

If your original wireless control dial stopped working and you’ve purchased a replacement, you’ll need to connect the new dial to your Z407 speakers.
Here’s how:
Remove the batteries from the original wireless control dial to make sure that your speaker is disconnected from the original dial.

Insert 2 AAA batteries in the new dial and then turn on your speaker.

Long-press the wired input button and the Bluetooth button for eight seconds to activate initial pairing. The new dial will blink twice in blue and then turn solid after it connects to your Z407 speakers. You will hear a connected tone.

Wireless control dial does not work

If your Z407 control dial doesn’t work, try the following:
– Unplug the speakers. After ten seconds, plug in the speaker and make sure you hear the power-on tone.
– Reinstall the batteries and make sure that the LED turns solid, which indicates that your dial has reconnected to the speaker successfully.
– If it’s still not working, the battery charge could be low. Try replacing them with fresh batteries. The dial should reconnect to the speaker automatically.
– Reset all speaker settings. See Restore the Z407 speakers to default factory settings.

If the above steps did not help, you may need to purchase a replacement wireless control dial. Please keep in mind that you cannot connect two dials to one speaker set at the same time.

How to clean the Z407 speaker drivers

If you need to clean the speaker drivers on your Z407:
– Use only a soft brush or lint-free wiper to clean.
– Avoid using anything that contains alcohol or is wet, for example, a wet tissue.

Z407 not recognized by source device with USB connection

– The Z407 may not support your source device — make sure that your device is updated to the latest version.
– Unplug the USB cable on your source device and then plug it back in again.
Troubleshooting on a Windows system:
1. In Device Manager, under Sound, video and game controllers, make sure the audio driver is updated to the latest version:
– Right-click “Logi Z407” and select Properties.

2. Click Update Driver and choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

3. Windows will search for and install the latest driver. If your driver is the latest version, it will appear as shown:

4. Unplug your Z407. Reboot the computer and then power the Z407 back on.
5. Play music from your computer to verify the music output.

Volume delay when the wireless control dial is rotated

The volume delay is derived from the control dial design. The mechanical design lets you quickly turn the dial with infinite rounds. In order to have the best dial experience, we recommend you rotate it at a medium speed.

Bluetooth button functionality on the Z407

The Bluetooth button on the wireless control dial allows you to turn the Bluetooth functionality on and off.

Long-press the Bluetooth button for 25 seconds to turn Bluetooth off. Your Z407 speaker will not be discoverable by other Bluetooth devices and the Bluetooth function will be disabled.

To turn Bluetooth back on, long-press the Bluetooth button 25 seconds again or unplug and plug in your speaker’s power.

Connecting the Z407 speakers to a device

You can connect your devices to the Z407 speakers in three different ways. You can use:
NOTE: When you turn the speakers on, they will default to the last connection used. To switch between devices, use the wired input button and the Bluetooth button on the bottom of the dial.
Bluetooth
On the source device, make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
Turn the Z407 speakers on.
On the bottom of the control dial, press and hold the Bluetooth button for two seconds to activate pairing mode. The status indicator will blink quickly.

In your source device’s Bluetooth menu, locate and select Logi Z407 from the device list to complete the connection.
Your source device should now be paired and connected to your Z407 speakers. You can pair up to eight Bluetooth source devices with your speakers and connect to two of them at once.

USB cable
Connect your device to the speakers using the USB cable.
NOTE: The cable is not provided and should be purchased separately.
Turn the speakers on.
Make sure that the LED indicator lights up in white. If it doesn’t, press the wired input button to switch.

3.5mm auxiliary
Connect your device to the speakers using a 3.5mm auxiliary cable (3-pole, male to male).
Turn the speakers on.
Make sure that the LED indicator lights up in purple. If it doesn’t, press the wired input button to switch.

How can I determine the bass level on the Z407?

The wireless control dial has an unlimited range of rotation, so you may not know the exact bass level. One way to determine the relative bass level is to turn the dial to the maximum bass volume and then to the minimum bass volume. You will hear the max/min bass tones respectively. You can then adjust the bass to your preference within this range.

Adjust the bass level on the Z407 speaker

Long-press the control dial for two seconds to enter Bass mode. You’ll hear a tone and the LED light will stay lit while you’re in Bass mode.

Turn the dial clockwise or counterclockwise to adjust the bass. After you’ve fine-tuned the bass, long-press the dial to exit — you will hear the “exit Bass” tone.
NOTE: The dial will automatically return back to the system volume mode after 15 seconds without adjusting.

Restore Z407 speakers to default factory settings

To restore the default settings, long-press the Bluetooth button and the wired input button at the same time for eight seconds until you hear the reset tone — the LED will blink twice and then glow solid. Your speaker and dial are now connected.

Please note that when you reset the system, the following will return to the factory settings:
– Volume level
– EQ-settings/Bass level
– Bluetooth connected list

Z407 LED wireless control dial keeps blinking

If the LED on the control dial is slowly blinking, it may be because it’s lost the connection to the speakers. The dial will slowly blink for 30 seconds if it’s unable to reconnect. This may be caused by:
The control dial is too far away from the speakers — try to get closer. The control dial will stop blinking once it reconnects.
Your Z407 speaker is not turned on, and therefore the dial could not reconnect to the speakers. Turn on your Z407 speaker, and make sure that your dial is within range to reconnect.
For more LED status information, please see the Z407 Quick Setup Guide.

Wireless product not working properly when also using a USB 3.0 device

When using a USB 2.0 2.4GHz wireless peripheral device (such as a mouse, keyboard, or headphones) with a PC that also has a USB 3.0 peripheral device plugged in, you may experience erratic operation caused by interference. This is especially likely to happen when using USB 3.0 remote hard drives or flash drives.

This interference may result in:
– Delayed response to mouse or keyboard inputs
– Missing keyboard characters or mouse commands
– Decreased operating distance between the USB 2.0 wireless device and its receiver

There are some techniques that can help early adopters of USB 3.0 to mitigate potential problems with their existing 2.4GHz wireless devices:

– If your PC has multiple USB 2.0 connectors available, separate your USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 receivers by as much distance as possible. For example, if your PC has a choice of USB 2.0 connectors, use the one on the opposite side of the PC from the USB 3.0 connector.
– Position your USB 2.0 receiver as close as possible to your wireless peripheral (mouse, keyboard, headphones, etc.).
– Use a standard, USB-extender cable to position your USB 2.0 wireless receiver as far away as possible from your USB 3.0 connector.

A USB-extender cable is available for Logitech customers who are experiencing this problem (click here for more information).

NOTE:  A USB 3.0 connector sometimes referred to as Super Speed USB or SS, normally has a blue plastic insert in the connector. Unlike a USB 2.0 connector which has 4 pins within the connector, a USB 3.0 connector has 9 pins.

Move your USB 2.0 wireless receiver to the opposite side of your computer:

Make sure your USB 2.0 wireless receiver is in the USB 2.0 connector closest to your wireless peripheral:

Use a USB extended cable to position your wireless receiver as far away from your USB 3.0 peripheral as possible:

My Unifying mouse or keyboard wakes the computer even when it is set not to

Symptom
After disabling the ability to wake-up the system in Windows Device Manager, the Unifying mouse or keyboard still brings the system out of sleep mode.

Solution
Even if you bought a mouse-only or keyboard-only product, the Unifying receiver that came with it still enumerates for both the mouse and keyboard interfaces.

Example
If you have two mice attached, then you would need to uncheck the “Allow this device to wake the computer” option for both mice plus a keyboard in the Windows Device Manager.
Use the process below to identify and configure the Unifying devices to not wake up the system in Windows Device Manager.

Changing wake-up settings in the Device Manager
To change the wake-up settings in Windows Device Manager, you’ll need to launch it through Computer Management and then make your selections. Here’s how:
1. Click Start, right-click Computer, and then click Manage.
2. Click Device Manager in the navigation pane on the left.

3. Select and expand either the “Keyboards” or “Mice and other pointing devices” category.
4. Right-click on the first entry and go to Properties > Details tab > Hardware IDs under the Property section.
5. Make sure the Value section contains: HIDVID_046D&PID_C52B. If it doesn’t, click Cancel and open the next mouse or keyboard entry in the list.

6. Select the “Power Management” tab and uncheck the “Allow this device to wake the computer” check box.

7. Repeat the same steps for all entries in both the “Keyboards” and “Mice and other pointing devices” categories.

My K800 keyboard is not working

This issue is most likely a lost connection. The connection between the keyboard and USB receiver can be lost for several reasons, including:

– Low battery charge
– Moving the USB receiver from one USB port to another
– Moving the USB receiver to another computer
– Plugging the USB receiver into a USB hub, KVM switch or other unsupported device (NOTE: Your USB receiver must be plugged directly into your computer.)
– Using your wireless keyboard on metal surfaces
– Radio frequency (RF) interference from other sources, such as:

– Wireless speakers
– Computer power supplies
– Monitors
– Cell phones
– Garage door openers

Try to rule out any of these problem sources that might be affecting your keyboard before you reconnect it.

Before reconnecting your K800
Before you connect your K800 again:
1. Make sure the batteries in your K800 are fully charged.
2. Make sure your keyboard is turned on. For instructions on how to turn your keyboard on and off, see answer null.

K800 compatibility with KVM switches and hubs

Manufacturers implement keyboard and mouse support in various, non-standard ways. KVM switches may affect the functionality of your K800.
Other third party devices that may interfere with communication between your K800 and your computer are:
– KVM switch boxes
– Port Replicators
– Docking Stations
– USB Hubs

My K800’s backlight stays on

Normally, your K800’s backlight will turn off after 10 to 15 seconds, or whenever you’ve set it to go off.

Sometimes though, the keyboard may stay lit longer. This often happens when the keyboard is moved to a different location on your desk or to another desk entirely.

The reason for this is that the keyboard has a built-in system to detect your hands. When moved, it can take some time for the keyboard to perform this detection again.

Allow 3-5 minutes for your keyboard to go through its detection cycle. Then, the backlight should begin to switch off again in the amount of time expected.

K800 operating distance

In ideal situations, the K800 can operate up to 30 feet (10 meters) with the receiver in clear sight of the keyboard and mouse.

If you are not getting this distance:
– Replace the batteries with a fresh set.
– Move devices such as cell phones, radios, wireless routers, microwaves, and other devices that emit radio waves or could cause radio interference (RF) away from your work area.

To determine if your environment is causing shorter than expected ranges, try using your K800 in a different environment to see if the distance improves.

My K800 frequently loses connection

If you have to constantly reconnect your keyboard or your mouse, try the following:
– Keep other electrical devices at least 8 inches (20 cm) away from the USB Unifying receiver.
– Move the mouse or keyboard closer to the USB Unifying receiver.
– Move the USB Unifying receiver to different locations.

Additional Information
The connection between the K800 keyboard and the USB Unifying receiver can be lost due to several reasons such as:
– Low batteries
– Moving the USB Unifying receiver from one USB port to another
– Moving the USB Unifying receiver to another computer
– Plugging the USB Unifying receiver into a USB hub or other unsupported device such as a KVM switch (your USB Unifying receiver must be plugged directly into your computer).
– Using your wireless mouse/keyboard on metal surfaces

Radio frequency (RF) interference of more powerful wireless devices such as:
– Wireless speakers
– Computer power supplies
– Monitors
– Cellular telephones
– Garage door openers
– If the above solutions do not resolve your problem, consult Knowledge Base article 18009 for instructions on contacting Logitech Technical Support.

Supported operating systems for my K800

Your K800 is supported by:
– Windows 7
– Windows XP
– Windows Vista

The K800 is not supported on Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, UNIX, Linux or Macintosh operating systems.

K800 battery life information

Battery information
Requires 2 AA NiMh batteries.
– Expected battery life is 15 hours to 10 days depending on backlight settings.
– Your keyboard has a standby mode to conserve power when not in use.

NOTE:  The batteries aren’t user replaceable.

Using my K800 with a different USB receiver

Your K800 ships with the new Logitech Unifying USB receiver as shown below:
MK710_Rcvr_Top.jpg
You can only connect your K800 with Unifying USB receivers that display the Unifying logo .
NOTE:  Although the device may be supported by the Unifying receiver, SetPoint and/or Logitech Control Center (LCC) support will depend on the specific product.

Num Lock disabled after Windows 10 starts

By default, the Num Lock on your keyboard is disabled each time Windows 10 boots up after a shutdown or restart.

To configure your operating system so that Num Lock stays on during startup, please contact professional support for your operating system. This requires advanced changes that need to be done under the guidance of a professional technician.

FAQS

What type of USB does the Logi Bolt receiver use?

The Logi Bolt receiver uses USB 2.0 Type-A.

What version of the Bluetooth core specifications is Logi Bolt connectivity based on?

Our Logi Bolt wireless devices are Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0 or higher. We are actively using all the security mechanisms introduced in Bluetooth Low Energy Core Specification 4.2.
From a backward compatibility standpoint, Logi Bolt wireless devices are able to communicate with Bluetooth Low Energy 4.0 hosts or higher when in direct Bluetooth connection.

What is the effective range of Logi Bolt?

Logi Bolt wireless devices are Bluetooth Class 2, which means up to 10 meters wireless range.

What Security Manager Protocols does Logi Bolt use for pairing, bonding, encryption and signing?

The Logi Bolt security level used by our Logi Bolt devices during the communication are the following:

Are PIN codes used for authentication with Logi Bolt?

Logi Bolt does not use PIN codes. It uses Passkey during the authentication phase of pairing.
– In the context of a Logi Bolt wireless keyboard, it’s a 6-digit passkey (which means an entropy of 2^20).
– In the context of a Logi Bolt wireless mouse, it’s a 10-click passkey (which means an entropy of 2^10). At this time, we believe Logi Bolt is the only wireless protocol that enforces mouse authentication across all compatible operating systems.

Does Logi Bolt use Just Works security mode?

Just Works pairing to Logi Bolt USB receivers is not permitted. All Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards pair with the Logi Bolt USB receiver in Security Mode 1 – Security Level 4, also called Secure Connections Only mode.
If you or your organization have concerns or don’t permit direct Bluetooth connections yet want the convenience and better experience wireless computer peripherals offer, you can pair Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards to Logi Bolt USB receivers.
In addition, our Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards can also direct-connect to host computers via Bluetooth. In these cases where the Logi Bolt receiver is not used:
– For Logi Bolt wireless keyboard direct Bluetooth connections, Passkey is requested per industry standard.
– For Logi Bolt wireless mouse direct Bluetooth connections, Just Works Pairing is used per industry standard as there is no Passkey pairing standard for mice.

If the Logi Bolt device supports multiple pairings, does it use random/unique codes or static?

Users can pair up to six Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards to a single Logi Bolt USB receiver. Each pairing uses a different Bluetooth address and different long term keys (LTK) and session keys for encryption.

Are Logi Bolt devices discoverable when actively initiated?

Our Logi Bolt wireless devices are only discoverable during a pairing procedure which can be entered only upon explicit user action (a long 3-second press to the connect button).

What are the two wireless connection options for Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards?

The two wireless connection options are connecting via paired Logi Bolt USB receiver or connecting directly to the computer via Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology.

Is the firmware of the Logi Bolt devices patchable should a vulnerability be discovered?

Yes. Our Logi Bolt wireless devices’ firmware can be updated by our software or via network push by IT administrators. However, we implemented anti-rollback protection for security patches. That means that an attacker cannot downgrade the firmware version to “reinstall” a patched vulnerability. Also, users and IT administrators cannot “restore factory settings”, eliminating security patches.

Does Logi Bolt meet the security requirements of most companies in regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare?

Logi Bolt was designed to address growing security concerns resulting from an increasingly mobile workforce — work from home being an obvious example. When paired with a Logi Bolt receiver, Logi Bolt wireless products use Bluetooth security mode 1, level 4 (also known as Secure Connections Only mode), which is U.S. Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliant.

Has Logitech conducted security testing on its implementation of the Bluetooth stack in the Logi Bolt devices?

Yes, Logitech received a third-party security assessment from a leading cybersecurity company. With that said, cybersecurity exposure constantly changes with new threats or vulnerabilities often on the horizon. That is one of the primary reasons we designed Logi Bolt based on Bluetooth Low Energy wireless technology. Bluetooth has a global community of more than 36,000 companies — its Special Interest Group (SIG) — on constant watch and dedicated to continual improvement, protection, and evolution of Bluetooth technology.

Did Logitech fix Logitech Unifying wireless security issues in Logi Bolt?

If an attacker attempts to impersonate a Logi Bolt wireless product to communicate with the Logi Bolt USB Receiver via RF, does the USB Receiver accept that input?
The usage of Secure Connections Only mode (Security Mode 1, Security Level 4) ensures that the communication is encrypted and authenticated. This means that there is a protection against on-path attackers which mitigates the risk of keystroke injection.
* Today there is no known attack on the Bluetooth Low Energy standard.
For the Logi Bolt USB Receiver to accept input, does the input need to be encrypted?
Yes, the usage of Secure Connections Only mode (Security Mode 1, Security Level 4) ensures that the communication is encrypted and authenticated.
Is there a means for an attacker to derive or steal the per-device link-encryption keys that pair the wireless product to the USB Receiver from RF enabling the attacker to inject arbitrary keystrokes or eavesdrop and live decrypt input remotely?
Sensitive data like link encryption keys are protected when stored on the Logi Bolt USB receiver.
With the LE Secure Connection (Security Mode 1, Security Level 2 and above), the Long Term Key (LTK) is generated on both sides in such a way that an eavesdropper cannot guess it (Diffie-Hellman key exchange).
Can a remote attacker pair a new Logi Bolt wireless product to a Logi Bolt receiver, even if the user has not put the Logi Bolt USB receiver into pairing mode?
The receiver has to be in pairing mode to accept a new pairing.
Moreover, even if an attacker tricks the user to put the receiver in pairing mode, we included a software-enable capability that alerts on the host monitor that there has been a change in the USB receiver to which the wireless device is paired (alarm notification).

Corporate policy does not allow use of Bluetooth connections. Can we deploy Logi Bolt wireless products?

Yes, Logi Bolt wireless mice and keyboards are in fact ideal for environments that do not permit Bluetooth connections. Though Logi Bolt is based on Bluetooth, it is an end-to-end closed system where a Logi Bolt receiver is emitting an encrypted signal that only connects with Logi Bolt products. So the Logi Bolt USB receiver can’t be paired with any non-Logi Bolt device. And because Logi Bolt works with most enterprise operating systems and is securely paired right out of the box, it makes procurement and set up that much easier.

Which products have Logi Bolt connectivity?

To see the Logi Bolt product line-up, visit logitech.com/LogiBolt.

Are Logi Bolt wireless products cross-compatible with Logitech Unifying wireless products?

Logi Bolt wireless products cannot be paired with a Logitech Unifying USB receiver and vice versa. Logitech Unifying wireless products cannot be paired to a Logi Bolt USB receiver.
However, in many cases, Logitech Unifying and Logi Bolt products can be used simultaneously with the same host computer if the host computer has two available USB-A ports. Just keep this in mind — when possible, the best option is to plug your Logi Bolt USB receiver into a port, then power on your Logi Bolt wireless product. This ensures you get the strong signal and security that Logi Bolt offers when paired with its USB receiver.

How do I use a combination of Logitech wireless products on the same computer?

When possible, the best option is to plug your Logi Bolt USB receiver into a USB port, then power on your Logi Bolt wireless product. This ensures you get the strong signal and security that Logi Bolt offers when paired with its USB receiver. If you have more than one Logi Bolt product, you can (and should) pair up to six Logi Bolt products to a single Logi Bolt USB receiver.
Start by identifying which USB receiver provides what type of connection. Visit logitech.com/logibolt for more information.

Next, if unsure what type of wireless mice and keyboards you have, look for a matching logo/design mark on the bottom (the side that rests on the desk surface) of your Logitech wireless products.

1. If you have two available USB A ports:
– Plug in both the Logi Bolt and Logitech Unifying or 2.4 GHz USB receivers. They can be used on the same computer with their respective wireless products. No required software downloads in most instances. Simply plug in the USB receivers, power on wireless products. This ensures you get the strong signal and security that Logi Bolt offers when paired with its USB receiver.

2. If you only have one available USB A port:
– If you have a 2.4GHz product or if your Unifying wireless product requires a USB receiver (it does not have Bluetooth as a connection option), plug the 2.4 GHz or Unifying receiver into a port, power on and off your wireless product. Next, connect your Logi Bolt wireless product via Bluetooth.
– If you have an advanced Unifying wireless product with Bluetooth as a connection option, connect your advanced Unifying wireless product via Bluetooth. Next, plug in your Logi Bolt USB receiver into a port. Power on your Logi Bolt wireless product. This ensures you get the strong signal and security that Logi Bolt offers when paired with its USB receiver.

3. If you don’t have any USB A ports or none are available:
– In this case, you probably have a Unifying wireless product that has Bluetooth as a connection option and it’s connected to the computer via Bluetooth. Simply add your Logi Bolt wireless product via Bluetooth.

Why aren’t Logi Bolt and Logitech Unifying cross-compatible?

Logi Bolt is based on the global wireless standard for simple, secure connectivity, Bluetooth Low Energy Wireless Technology. Logitech Unifying is a proprietary 2.4 GHz radio frequency wireless protocol that was developed by Logitech. Plainly, they don’t speak the same language.

Is it possible to pair multiple devices with the same Logi Bolt receiver?

Absolutely. Just like Logitech Unifying connectivity protocol, you can pair up to six Logi Bolt wireless products to a single Logi Bolt USB receiver. In fact, this feature may be in demand more now than ever with individuals who have multiple workspaces — office and home. With one set of Logi Bolt peripherals in the office and another at home, there is no need to carry or commute your favorite peripherals in between workspaces. Simply position the laptop or tablet into range and your wireless products will be ready to use when powered on.
To learn how to pair more than one Logi Bolt wireless product to your Logi Bolt USB receiver, visit logitech.com/options to download Logitech Options software which will walk you through the easy steps.

Will Logitech continue to sell Logitech Unifying wireless products?

Starting in 2021, Logi Bolt is Logitech’s new connectivity protocol for wireless mice and keyboards (non-gaming). Logi Bolt may someday be extended to wireless headsets. However, it will take several years before Logitech’s extensive and popular product portfolio is 100% transitioned to Logi Bolt.

Will Logitech continue to provide routine online, telephone and email support for Unifying products?

Yes, we will continue to provide Logitech Support for Unifying wireless products.

How do I know if my device is Logitech Unifying or Logi Bolt?

Start by identifying which USB receiver provides what type of connection. Visit www.logitech.com/logibolt for more information.

Next, if you’re unsure what type of wireless mice and keyboards you have, look for a matching logo/design mark on the bottom (the side that rests on the desk surface) of your Logitech wireless products.

I lost my Bolt receiver, how do I order a new one?

You can order a replacement Logi Bolt USB receiver from logitech.com and from many popular retailers and eTailers.

USING THE DUAL CLUTCH IN-GAME

Using a dual clutch system from a grid start in a race enables you to achieve maximum traction without the need to find the bite point of your clutch pedal – this can give you a significant advantage at the start of a race
To use the dual clutch system in-game:

  1. At race start, fully depress the clutch pedal and the button assigned to the dual clutch function (see next section for setting instructions)
  2. Select first gear using the Gear Up Paddle and fully depress the gas pedal
  3. As soon as you get the green light for race start, immediately release the Dual Clutch button The car should start moving as the bite point of the clutch is engaged
  4. Smoothly release your foot from the clutch pedal in order to achieve maximum traction It’s worth practicing this last step and modifying the bite point setting several times to find a method that works for you Once you have it perfected, this feature can help make up several places on the grid

SETTING UP THE DUAL CLUTCH SYSTEM

  1. Press and hold the left and right steel paddle shifters L3 and R3 buttons together for two seconds to enter dual clutch setting mode The RPM LEDs will illuminate blue and flash slowly:

    Note:
Support for the dual clutch function is not possible in some games A list of games that support the dual clutch feature can be found at logitechG com/support/G923-ps
Note: Whilst in the Dual Clutch setting mode, the RPM LEDs will not respond to the game/SDK
  2. Press the button you want to set as the dual clutch button The only valid buttons for this are the L3 and R3 buttons The RPM LEDs will flash red to show that you’re in clutch position setting mode
  3. While in your chosen simulation or game with the car still on a track, fully depress the clutch and gas pedals Engage first gear and keep pressing the minus button down until the car begins to move in-game You can adjust the precise bite point of the clutch by using the plus and minus buttons until you are happy with the setting
  4. At this point, you may test the dual clutch without leaving the setting mode It is recommended you attempt a race start, stop the car and adjust the bite point and then try again until you are satisfied with the performance of the dual clutch
  5. Press the Select button in the middle of the dial on the wheel to exit dual clutch setting mode The RPM LEDs will flash in a sequence from green to blue to show that the setting is saved The RPM LEDs will then go out and begin responding again to RPM output from supported games

RESETTING DUAL CLUTCH SYSTEM

Press and hold the left gear shift, right gear shift, and square button for two seconds The RPM LEDs will all flash four times and then extinguish to indicate that the Dual Clutch system has been reset The button assigned to the Dual Clutch system (L3 or R3) will revert to its normal function

USING LOGITECH G HUB

Logitech G HUB enables the following features on the G923: · Button programming with profiles that can be linked to games · Adjustment of wheel settings, such as Rotation Angle and TRUEFORCE strength · Testing of the various buttons, wheel and pedal functions

G HUB WHEEL SETTINGS

Sensitivity
Alters the output response of the wheel to be more or less sensitive Leaving this slider at 50% will provide a linear 1:1 output Between 51% and 100% will make the wheel increasingly more sensitive around the center movement of the wheel Between 0% and 49% will make the wheel decreasingly sensitive around the center movement of the wheel
Operating Range
The G923 is capable of up to 900 degrees of rotation Reducing this setting will change the point at which the wheel will reach full steering lock This is especially useful if you’re driving a car with a smaller actual steering lock angle, such as a Formula 1 or GT3 car
Centering Spring (for games without force feedback)
Most games that support force feedback already model the correct return to center function of the G923 based on the virtual car It is recommended that the Centering Spring option be turned off for these games
Enabling the Centering Spring option will allow you to override the game features and adjust the strength of the return to center force using the provided slider
Torque
Only available for TRUEFORCE supported games Torque controls the overall force feedback strength for your G923

Audio Effects
Only available for TRUEFORCE supported games Controls the overall strength of the audio-related effects (engine note, rumble strips etc ) when using TrueForcecompatible titles
If you are using your G923 in older titles that do not support TRUEFORCE, then adjustment of the force feedback can be performed from the settings menus of the game title

TESTING YOUR WHEEL AND PEDALS

On the wheel and pedals screens in G HUB, you can check every button and axis on your G923 in order to ensure everything is functioning correctly For the wheel you can also see the effect of altering the Operating range

G HUB PEDALS SETTINGS

Sensitivity
Alters the output response of the pedals to be more or less sensitive Leaving this slider at 50% will provide a linear 1:1 output Between 51% and 100% will make the pedal increasingly more sensitive around the initial movement of the pedal Between 0% and 49% will make the pedal decreasingly sensitive around the initial movement of the pedal
Combined Pedals
If checked, this will set the gas and brake pedals to become two halves of a single axis This will help the pedals operate correctly in older racing titles that do not support separate axes for pedals
Note: If left checked then the pedals will not behave correctly in modern racing titles If you find that just one of your pedals is functioning by accelerating when pressed and braking when released then you should make sure that this option is not checked

logitech C920 HD Pro Webcam

Thank you for buying your c920!

Use this guide to set up and begin usingyour Logitech webcam.
If you have questions before you start, or if you just want to learn more about your Logitech webcam, please visit logitech.com/support.

Setting up your webcam

  1. Place your webcam
Designed for the way you like to make a video call, place the Webcam c920 where you want it—on a computer monitor, desktop, or tripod.
    For placement on a monitor
Grasp the webcam as shown and open the flexible/clip base with your other hand. Mount the webcam, making sure the foot on the flexible/clip base is flush with the back of your monitor.
  2. Connect your webcam
  3. Install the software
If you’re using your webcam with Windows® 8,
the software required is downloaded automatically when you connect your webcam for the first time, and installed silently in the background.
Important: Make sure you’re connected to the Internet, so the software can be downloaded.
If you’re using your webcam with Windows® 7 or Windows Vista®, you must install the Logitech® Webcam Software, available from:
    logitech.com/downloads

Getting started with video calling

Your Logitech HD Pro Webcam c920 provides full HD 1080p video calling.
To take advantage of video calling both you and the person you call must install Skype™, or use a different video-calling application such as Yahoo!® Messenger, Windows Live® Messenger or Gmail.
Learn more: skype.com
As well as a webcam and video calling application, both callers need:

  • A computer with speakers (or a headset) and a microphone; your Logitech HD Pro Webcam c920 has two built-in microphones.
  • A broadband Internet connection (e.g., DSL, T1, or cable)

Using your webcam with Windows 8

It has built-in Microphone?

Yes, it has build-in microphone (Dual stereo)

Zoom control in video mode, not picture mode. But no remote control…just on-screen mouse control…works great.

Xbox One (Plug n’Play)
Chrome OS
Android v5.0 or above (with supported video-calling clients)

does it come with the USB cable and software?

yes it comes with the usb cable attached and the software is in the cam it works as soon as you plug it in.

will it work with windows 8

The product description says “The picture is 1080p only with Skype”

Should i start out with this as i start off with youtube?

Its 1080 resolution, so not a bad start. It’s HD.

Great images but limited control and compatibility with iMac – had to return the C920. Any news of Logitech updating software?

There is a few cameras they have come out with since this one that see updated and can do/handle a lot more.
