SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING: Riding an electric scooter does present potential risks and caution is required. Like any riding product, an electric scooter has inherent hazards associated with its use (for example, falling off or riding it into a hazardous situation). Like any riding product, electric scooters can and are intended to move and it is therefore, of course, possible to lose control or otherwise get into dangerous situations. Both children, and adults responsible for supervising them must, recognize that if such things occur, a rider can be seriously injured or die even when using safety equipment and other precautions. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

WARNING: PARENTAL AND ADULT RESPONSIBILITY AND SUPERVISION IS NECESSARY: Because products, like electric scooters, can and do present potential hazards plainly associated with their use, it is well recognized THE NEED FOR EXERCISE OF PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IN SELECTING RIDING PRODUCTS APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE OF A CHILD, OR PARENTAL SUPERVISION IN SITUATIONS IN WHICH CHILDREN OF VARIOUS AGES MAY HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAME RIDING PRODUCTS, IS IMPORTANT. Not every product is appropriate for every age or size of the child, and different age recommendations are found within this category of product which is intended to reflect the nature of the hazards and the expected mental or physical ability, or both, of a child to cope with the hazards.

The recommended minimum rider age is 8 and older. Any rider unable to fit comfortably on the scooter should not attempt to ride it. A parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill and ability to follow rules.

Keep this product away from small children and remember that it is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating the scooter.

Persons with any mental or physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury, impair their physical dexterity or mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions and to be able to understand the hazards inherent in scooter use, should not use or be permitted to use products inappropriate for their abilities. Persons with heart conditions, head, back or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas of the body), or pregnant women, should be cautioned not to operate such products.

DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 120 lb (54 kg). Rider weight does not necessarily mean a person’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the scooter.

CHECK AND MAINTAIN SCOOTER CONDITIONS
Before use, check to confirm that any and all chain guards or other covers and guards are in place and in serviceable condition. Check that the brake is functioning properly, and that tire is inflated properly and has sufficient tread remaining. The scooter should be maintained and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, using only the manufacturer’s authorized replacement parts, and should not be modified from the manufacturer’s original design and configuration.
ACCEPTABLE RIDING PRACTICES AND CONDITIONS
Always check and obey any local laws or regulations, which may affect the locations where the electric scooter may be used. Keep safely away from cars and motor vehicle traffic at all times, and only use where allowed and with caution.

Do not activate the speed control on the hand grip unless you are on the scooter and in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding. The electric scooter must be moving at least 3 mph (5 km/h) before the motor will engage.

The normal powered top speed of this scooter will be approximately 10 mph (16 km/h), which can be affected by conditions, such as rider weight, inclines, tire inflation and battery charge level. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associated with downhill rides.

Maintain a hold on the handlebars at all times. Do not touch the brake or motor on your scooter when in use or immediately after riding, as these parts can become very hot.

Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children or animals who may enter your path, and respect the rights and property of others.

The electric scooter is intended for use on flat, dry surfaces, such as pavement or level ground, without loose debris, such as sand, leaves, rocks or gravel.
Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven or rough surfaces may impair traction and contributeto possible accidents. Do not ride your scooter in mud, ice, puddles or water. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes.

Do not attempt or do stunts or tricks on your electric scooter. The scooter is not made to withstand abuse from misuse, such as jumping, curb grinding or any other type of stunts. Racing, stunt riding, or other maneuvers also enhance risk of loss of control, or may cause uncontrolled rider actions or reactions.

Never allow more than one person at a time to ride the scooter.

Do not ride at night or when visibility is limited.

Never use near steps or swimming pools.
Do not allow hands, feet, hair, body parts, clothing, or similar articles to come in contact with moving parts, wheels, or drive train chain while the motor is running.

Never use headphones, a cell phone or text when riding.
Never hitch a ride with a vehicle.
Do not ride your scooter in wet or icy weather and never immerse the scooter in water, as the electrical and drive components could be damaged by water or create other possibly unsafe conditions. Never risk damaging surfaces, such as carpet or flooring, by use of an electric scooter indoors.

PROPER RIDING ATTIRE
Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled), elbow pads and kneepads. A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. A long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles) and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels, motor and drive system. Never ride barefooted or in sandals.

USING THE CHARGER
The charger supplied with the electric scooter should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. In the event of such damage, the scooter must not be charged until the charger has been repaired or replaced.
Use only with the recommended charger.
Use caution when charging.
The charger is not a toy. The charger should be operated by an adult.
Do not operate charger near flammable materials.
Unplug the charger and disconnect from scooter when not in use.
Always disconnect from the charger prior to wiping down and cleaning your scooter with damp cloth.

FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE AND HEED THE ABOVE WARNINGS FURTHER INCREASES RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY. USE AT YOUR OWN  RISK AND WITH APPROPRIATE AND SERIOUS ATTENTION TO SAFE OPERATION. USE CAUTION.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Remove contents from box. Remove the separators that protect the components from damage during shipping. Inspect the contents of the box for scratches in the paint, dents or kinked cables that may have occurred during shipping. Because the scooter was 95 percent assembled and packed at the factory, there should not be any problems, even if the box has a few scars or dents.
MAKE SURE POWER SWITCH IS TURNED “OFF” BEFORE CONDUCTING ANY ASSEMBLY OR  MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES.

Estimated Assembly and Set-Up Time
Razor recommends assembly by an adult with experience in bicycle mechanics. Allow up to 10 minutes for assembly, not including initial charge time. Allow up to 12 hours for a charge.

WARNING: DO NOT USE NON-RAZOR PRODUCTS WITH YOUR RAZOR ELECTRIC SCOOTER. The scooter has been built to certain Razor design specifications. The original equipment supplied at the time of sale was selected on the basis of its compatibility with the frame, fork and all other parts. Certain aftermarket products may not be compatible and will void the warranty.

Note: Electric scooter must be moving at least 3 mph (5 km/h) while applying throttle to engage motor.

ASSEMBLY AND SET-UP

Attaching the Handlebars
Tool Required: 5 mm Allen Wrench

Note: Make sure all the cables/wires are out of the way before attaching the handlebars onto the fork.
WARNING: Failure to properly tighten the collar clamp may allow the handlebars to dislodge while riding and may cause you to lose control and fall. When correctly tightened, the handlebars will not rotate out of alignment with the front wheel under normal circumstances.

Note: The cable and wire assembly from the handlebars must not wrap around the steering tube or handlebars. Sharp bends or twisting of the brake cable can cause the brake to malfunction.

Inflating the Tire
The front tire is inflated when shipped, but it invariably may lose some pressure between the point of manufacturing and your purchase. Always inflate tire to the correct PSI before first-time use.
Lower air pressure can result in a shorter ride time. Periodically check tire. Reinflate when needed.

1 Using a bicycle-style tire pump equipped for a Schrader-type valve, inflate the front tire to the correct PSI indicated on the sidewall of the tire.

WARNING: Do not use the electric scooter for the first time until you have inflated the front tire to the correct PSI. Failure to do so may damage your electric scooter and void your warranty.
WARNING: Do not over inflate, as this could damage the tire or wheel.

Note: The pressure air supplies found at gasoline stations are designed to inflate high-volume automobile tires. If you decide to use such an air supply to inflate  your electric scooter tire, first make sure the pressure gauge is working, then use very short bursts to inflate to the correct PSI. If you inadvertently over inflate the tire, release the excess pressure immediately.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Your electric scooter may not have a fully charged battery; therefore you must charge the battery prior to use.

  • Initial charge time: 12 hours.
  • Recharge time: up to 12 hours, even if the light turns green. Recommended maximum charging time is 24 hours.
  • Always charge the battery immediately after riding.
  • Fully charge battery before storing for extended periods of time.
  • Unplug charger from the wall outlet when not in use.
  • Failure to recharge battery periodically may result in a battery that will not accept a charge.
  • Make sure the power switch is turned OFF when unit is not in use. If the power switch is left on for an extended period of time, the battery may reach a stage at which it will no longer hold a charge.
  • To ensure long battery life, never store the product in freezing or below-freezing temperatures! Freezing will permanently damage the battery.
  • Run time: Up to 40 minutes of continuous ride time. Run time may vary depending on riding conditions, rider weight, climate, and/or proper maintenance.
  • Constant stopping and starting may shorten ride time.
  • Battery life can vary depending on the proper maintenance and usage of the unit.

Note: Charger design may vary from one shown.

1 Plug the charger plug into wall outlet. The light on the charger should be green.
Note: If green light (LED) does not turn on, try a different outlet.

2 Make sure the power switch is in the OFF position.
Plug the charger into the charger port on the product. The light on the charger should turn red during charging. The light will turn green again when charging is complete.

WARNING: Use ONLY with the recommended charger. Batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. The charger is not a toy. Always disconnect the charger before wiping down and/or cleaning the electric scooter with a damp cloth.

The charger supplied with the electric scooter should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, the electric scooter must not be charged until it has been repaired or replaced.

Chargers have built-in overcharge protection to prevent batteries from being overcharged.
Note: If the charger gets warm during regular use, this is a normal response and is no cause for concern. If your charger does not get warm during use, it does not mean that it is not working properly.

Wall outlet – Green (stand by) Wall outlet and Unit – Red (Charging) Charging complete – Green (Charged)
Note: Continue charging unit even if light turns green prior to 12 hours.
WARNING: Failure to recharge the battery at least once a the month may result in a battery that will no longer accept a charge.

PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST

Brake

Check the brake for proper function. When you squeeze the brake lever, the brake should provide positive braking action. Make sure that the brake is not rubbing when the lever is released.

Tire

  • Periodically inspect the tire for excess wear and replace as needed. Regularly check the tire pressure and inflate as needed.

Frame, Fork and Handlebars

  • Check for cracks or broken connections. Although broken frames are rare, it is possible for an aggressive rider to run into a curb or object and wreck, bend or break a frame. Get in the habit of inspecting your scooter on a regular basis.

Hardware/Loose Parts

  • Before every ride, check all parts, such as nuts, bolts, cables, fasteners, etc., to ensure they are secure and assembled correctly. There should not be any unusual rattles or sounds from loose parts or broken components. If the unit is damaged, do not ride. Reference “Safety Warnings” on page 1 of this manual.

Safety Gear

  • Always wear proper protective gear, such as an approved safety helmet. Elbow pads and kneepads are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles) and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels, motor and drive system. NEVER RIDE BAREFOOTED OR IN SANDALS.

Laws and Regulations

  • Always check and obey any local laws or regulations.

Insurance

  • Do not assume that your existing insurance policies necessarily provide coverage for scooter use. Check with your insurance company for information regarding insurance.

Storage

  • Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain and the elements may damage the enclosure materials, store indoors when not in use.

USAGE

How to Ride

  • Put kickstand up.
  • Turn power switch “ON”.
  • Place both hands on handlebars and kick start the unit using one foot to push the scooter forward while applying the throttle.
  • (E100 Glow only) LED lights are activated when the throttle is applied.

Note: Electric scooter must be moving at least 3 mph (5 km/h) while engaging throttle to engage motor.

How to Stop

Release the throttle and apply the brake lever until the unit comes to a complete stop.

Note: As an additional safety feature, the scooter is designed to cut power to the motor when the hand brake is applied.
Note: Motor will re-engage, (without having to kick start), if brake is released and throttle is applied before scooter has slowed down to under 3 mph (5 km/h).

REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

Turn power switch “OFF” before beginning repair or maintenance:

  • Read the instructions
  • Remove charger plug
  • Turn the power switch off
  • Secure the unit under repair
  • Exercise caution around exposed parts
  • Contact Razor customer service if unsure about any repair or maintenance

Tool Required: 10 mm Wrench

1 To adjust brake cable play, thread the brake lever adjuster in or out 1/4 to 1/2 turn until the desired brake adjustment is attained. Most adjustments are complete at this step. If brake still needs further adjustment, proceed to step 2.

2 If brake is too tight or has too much slack, use a 10 mm wrench to loosen the brake cable and adjust accordingly.

3 Inspect the brake pads (A) for proper alignment against the wheel or excess wear. To realign brake pads, loosen the fixing nut (B) and adjust the pad to contact the rim. Re-tighten and readjust as needed. Verify proper brake function prior to riding the scooter.

Tools Required: 10 mm Wrench and Two (2) 16 mm Wrenches.

1 Using a 10 mm wrench loosen the brake cable bolt.

2 Using two (2) 16 mm wrenches, loosen the locknuts by turning the wrenches counter clockwise. Remove wheel and install replacement wheel. (Note sequence of hardware.)

Both children, and adults responsible for supervising them, must recognize that if such things occur, a rider can be seriously injured or die even when using safety equipment and other precautions.

Not every product is appropriate for every age or size of child, and different age recommendations are found within this category of product which are intended to reflect the nature of the hazards and the expected mental or physical ability, or both, of a child to cope with the hazards.

WARNING: NOT FOR RIDERS UNDER AGE 8 OR HEAVIER THAN 110 LB (50 KG). DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 110 lb (50 kg) including backpacks and other items that might be carried. Exceeding the weight limit could injure the rider and damage the electric scooter. Rider weight alone also does not necessarily mean a person’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the electric scooter. Keep this product away from small children and remember that this product is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating the product.
Razor recommends that children under the age of 8 not be permitted to use this product. This recommendation is based not just on age or weight or height; it reflects consideration of expected maturity and skills as well as physical size. The recommended rider age of 8 years or older is only an estimate and can be affected by the rider’s size, weight, or skills not every rider 8 years old or older will be suited to the product. Certainly, any rider unable to fit comfortably on the electric scooter should not attempt to ride it, but a parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill, and ability to follow rules. Razor emphasizes that adults are strongly advised not to disregard Razor’s recommendations or permit young children to ride the electric scooter.
Keep this product away from small children and remember that it is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating.
Persons with any mental or physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury, impair their physical dexterity or mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions and to be able to understand the hazards inherent in the use of any ride-on product, should not use or be permitted to use products inappropriate for their abilities. Persons with heart conditions, head, back or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas of the body), or pregnant women, should be cautioned not to operate such products.
DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 110 lb (50 kg). Rider weight does not necessarily mean a person’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the electric scooter.

CHECK AND MAINTAIN PRODUCT CONDITIONS
Before use, check to confirm that covers and guards are in place and in serviceable condition. Check that the wheels are free of flat spots from wear. The product should be maintained and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, using only the manufacturer’s authorized replacement parts, and should not be modified from the manufacturer’s original design and configuration.

ACCEPTABLE RIDING PRACTICES AND CONDITIONS Always check and obey any local laws or regulations which may affect the locations where the electric scooter may be used. Keep safely away from cars and motor vehicle traffic at all times. Only use where allowed and with caution.
Do not activate the foot-controlled power system unless you are on the electric scooter and in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding. The electric scooter must be moving at least 3 mph (5 km/h) before the motor will engage. Once the foot-controlled power system is activated the electric scooter will move forward.

The normal powered top speed of this product will be approximately 7.5 mph (12 km/h), which can be affected by conditions, such as rider weight, inclines and battery charge level. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associated with downhill rides.
Maintain a hold on the handlebars at all times.

Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children or animals who may enter your path, and respect the rights and property of others.

PRE-RIDE CHECKLIST

Brake
Check the brake for proper function. When you step on the rear-fender brake, the brake should provide positive braking action. When you apply the brake with the foot-controlled power system engaged, the brake cut-off switch should cut power to the motor.

Wheels
Periodically inspect the wheels for excessive wear.

Frame, Fork and Handlebars
Check for cracks or broken connections. Although broken frames are rare, it is possible for an aggressive rider to run into a curb or object and wreck, bend or break a frame. Get in the habit of inspecting your scooter on a regular basis.

Hardware/Loose Parts
Before every ride, check all parts, such as nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc., to ensure they are secure and assembled correctly. There should not be any unusual rattles or sounds from loose parts or broken components. If the product is damaged, do not ride. Reference “Safety Warnings” on pages 1 and 2 of this manual.

Safety Gear
Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled), elbow pads, and kneepads. A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. A long-sleeved shirt and long pants are recommended. Always wear shoes and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels and motor. NEVER RIDE BAREFOOTED OR IN SANDALS.

Laws and Regulations
Always check and obey any local laws or regulations.

Insurance
Do not assume that your existing insurance policies necessarily provide coverage for product use. Check with your insurance company for information regarding insurance.

Storage
Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain and the elements may damage the enclosure materials, store indoors when not in use.

USAGE

How to Ride
Standing in the center of the deck engages the foot-controlled power system.
Do not activate the foot-controlled power system (A) (pressure sensor is located under deck grip tape) unless you are on the electric scooter and in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding.
Get on the scooter and place both hands on the handlebars. Kick to start (B).
Note: LED lights (on and below deck) will activate when power system is pressed. Light-up front wheel will activate when product is in motion.

How to Stop
For controlled stops, apply the brake by putting pressure on the rear-fender brake. Razor recommends that you practice applying the brake at various speeds and in an open area free from obstructions before riding your scooter around others.Note: Pressure on the power system (center of deck) will activate the power of the electric scooter. However, the motor is designed not to engage until the electric scooter is moving at least 3 mph (5 km/h) while engaging the foot-controlled power system.

Note: As an additional safety feature, the scooter is designed to cut power to the motor when brake is applied.

Note: Motor will re-engage, (without having to kick to start), if brake is released and footcontrolled power system is applied before scooter has slowed down to under 3 mph (5 km/h).

Note: Practice riding only in wide open areas clear from curbs, parking blocks and other obstacles. Impacting the wheels against any hard surface can damage the wheels. Wheels are not covered under the limited warranty.

REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING: Risk of fireno user serviceable parts.

Cleaning Your Scooter
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Do not use industrial cleaners or solvents as they may damage the surfaces. Do not use alcohol, alcohol-based or ammonia-based cleaners as they may damage or dissolve the plastic components or soften the decals or decal adhesive.

Battery Care and Disposal

  • Do not store in freezing or below freezing temperatures. To properly maintain your battery and ensure maximum battery life, carefully read the “Charging the Battery” section on page 5 of this owner’s manual.
  • Battery pack should not be disassembled, crushed, punctured, opened or otherwise mutilated.

Disposal: Your electric scooter uses a lithium-ion battery pack which must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Do not dispose of a battery pack in a fire. The battery pack may explode.
Do not dispose of a battery pack in your regular household trash. The incineration, land filling or mixing of batteries with household trash is prohibited by law in most areas. Return exhausted batteries to a federal or state approved lithium-ion battery recycler.

Charger
The charger supplied with the electric scooter should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts and in the event of such damage, the product must not be charged until it has been repaired or replaced.
Use ONLY with the recommended charger.
Not intended for use at elevations greater than 2000 m above sea level.

Wheels and Bearings
Under normal circumstances and conditions, Razor wheels and wheel bearings are maintenance free. Nonetheless, it is the responsibility of the owner or guardian to periodically inspect the wheels for wear and tear, the axle for proper tightness, and bearings for side-to-side play, and loose parts. When a wheel or wheel bearing develops play, this is an indication of excess wear and replacement is necessary. Replace immediately with only genuine Razor wheels. Worn wheels/bearings are considered normal wear-and-tear and are not covered by the Razor Warranty. Wheels other than genuine Razor wheels may not be compatible with your Razor scooter. The use of anything other than genuine Razor replacement parts may affect your safety and will void your warranty.

Product I.D. Code:_________-_________-_________

SAFETY WARNINGS

The Crazy Cart Shift is not the same as an “ordinary” go-kart and therefore may require greater skill to ride than an ordinary go-kart. The Crazy Cart Shift is designed to allow movement forward, backward, laterally, in drifting arcs and even  to pivot around in circles– and instead of a “conventional” brake, it uses these  features to also allow very quick stopping and braking. It is extremely important to start out slowly, and take the time to get familiar and comfortable with the Crazy Cart Shift’s unique directional control and braking abilities (described on pages 7 and 8), before attempting quick turns or other fast moving actions, or otherwise trying to make full use of the Crazy Cart Shift’s capabilities. Using this product requires flat open space, free of traffic or other obstacles.

Riding any electric product can be a hazardous activity. Certain conditions may cause the equipment to fail without fault of the manufacturer. Like other electric ride-on products, the Crazy Cart Shift can and is intended to move, and it is therefore possible to lose control, fall off and/or get into dangerous situations that no amount of care, instruction or expertise  can eliminate. If such things occur you can be seriously injured or die, eve when using safety equipment and other precautions. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

PARENTAL AND ADULT RESPONSIBILITY AND
SUPERVISION NECESSARY: This manual contains important safety information. It is your responsibility to review this information and make sure that all riders understand all warnings, cautions, instructions and safety topics, and assure that young riders are able to safely and responsibly use this product. Razor recommends that you periodically review and reinforce the information in this manual with younger riders, and that you inspect and maintain your children’s product to insure their safety.

PARENT CONTROLLED HIGH/LOW SPEED SWITCH: The Crazy Cart Shift has a HIGH-LOW speed switch which can be manually set by an adult before children ride it. This switch allows parents to reduce the Crazy Cart Shift speed for novice riders. See page 4.

Manufacturer’s suggested minimum rider age is 8+ in the HIGH speed setting
and 6+ in the LOW speed setting. The default setting is HIGH.

NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER AGE 6 OR HEAVIER THAN 120 LB (54 KG). Because products, like the Crazy Cart Shift, can and do present potential hazards plainly associated with their use, it is well recognized THE NEED FOR EXERCISE OF PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IN  SELECTING RIDING PRODUCTS APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE OF A CHILD, OR PARENTAL SUPERVISION IN SITUATIONS IN WHICH CHILDREN OF VARIOUS AGES MAY HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAME RIDING PRODUCTS, IS IMPORTANT.
Not every product is appropriate for every age or size of child, and different age recommendations are found within this category of product which are intended to reflect the nature of the hazards and the expected mental or physical ability, or both, of a rider to cope with the hazards.

Razor recommends that children under the age of 6 not be permitted to use this product. This recommendation is based not just on age or weight or height – it reflects consideration of expected maturity and skills as well as physical size. The recommended rider age of 6 years or older is only an estimate and can be affected by the rider’s size, weight or skills – not every child 6 years old will be suited to the product. Certainly, any rider unable to fit comfortably on the Crazy Cart Shift should not attempt to ride it, but a parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride  this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill, and ability to follow rules. Razor emphasizes that adults are strongly advised not to disregard Razor’s recommendations or permit younger children to ride the Crazy Cart Shift.

DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 120 lb (54 kg). Rider weight alone also does not necessarily mean a person’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the Crazy Cart Shift. Keep this product away from small children and remember that this product is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating the product.

Persons with any mental or physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury, impair their physical dexterity or mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions, and to be able to understand the hazards inherent in a product’s use, should not use or be permitted to use products inappropriate for their abilities. Persons with heart conditions, head, back or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas of  the body), or pregnant women, should be cautioned not to operate this product.

NOTICE: This manual contains many warnings and cautions concerning the
consequences of failing to maintain, inspect or properly use your electric rideon product. Because any incident can result in serious injury or even death, we do not repeat the warning of possible serious injury or death each time  such a possibility is mentioned.

CHECK AND MAINTAIN CRAZY CART SHIFT

Before use, check to confirm that any and all covers and guards are in place and in serviceable condition. Check that the parts are functioning properly, and that the main driving wheel is not worn out and needs to be replaced.  The Crazy Cart Shift should be maintained and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, using only the manufacturer’s authorized
replacement parts, and should not be modified from the manufacturer’s original design and configuration. Replace worn or broken parts immediately.

SAFE OPERATION REQUIRES CAREFUL ATTENTION.
This product does not have a traditional brake – stopping is done using the accelerator pedal and steering. Read “How to Operate” section on pages 7 and 8 of this manual and practice to develop skills in using the Crazy Cart Shift.

Always check and obey any local laws or regulations which may affect the locations where the Crazy Cart Shift may be used. The Crazy Cart Shift is meant to be used on private property and on closed courses, and not on public streets or sidewalks. Do not ride your electric product in any areas where pedestrian or vehicle traffic is present.

Do not turn the power switch in the Crazy Cart Shift to ON or depress/ activate the accelerator pedal unless you are seated and in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding. Always turn the power switch to OFF before exiting the Crazy Cart Shift.

Keep your fingers and other body parts away from the motor, steering system, wheels and all other moving components.

Maintain a hold on the steering wheel at all times. Do not touch the hub motor on your Crazy Cart Shift when in use or immediately after riding as these parts can become very hot.

Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel(s) or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children or animals who may enter your path, and respect the rights and property of others.

This product was manufactured for performance and durability, but is not impervious to damage. Bumping into obstacles or other aggressive riding can over stress and damage any product, including the Crazy Cart Shift, and the
rider assumes all risks associated with high-stress activity. This product is not
a “bumper car.”

  • Never carry passengers or allow more than one person at a time to ride the electric product.
  • Never use headphones or a cell phone when riding. Never hitch a ride with another product.

Do not ride the Crazy Cart Shift in wet or icy weather and never immerse this electric product in water, as the electrical and drive components could get damaged by water or possibly create other unsafe conditions.

Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven or rough surfaces may increase risks. Do not ride this electric product in mud, ice, puddles or water. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associated with downhill rides. Never risk damaging surfaces, such as carpet or flooring, by using an electric product indoors.

  • Never use near steps or swimming pools.
  • Do not ride at night or when visibility is limited.

You may see people on TV or videos performing stunts and trick maneuvers on the Crazy Cart Shift. These are people who have been practicing a long time and who accept the risks of trick riding. Do not assume that you can attempt to do the same tricks without great risk.

Be careful and know your limitations. Risk of injury increases as the degree of riding difficulty increases. The rider assumes all risk associated with aggressive riding activities.

PROPER RIDING ATTIRE

Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled). A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. Elbow pads and kneepads, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants and gloves are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (laceup shoes with rubber soles). Never ride barefooted or in sandals and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels and motor.

USING THE CHARGER

The charger supplied with the Crazy Cart Shift should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. In the event of such damage, the Crazy Cart Shift must not be charged until the charger has been
repaired or replaced.

  • Use only with the recommended charger.
  • Use caution when charging.
  • The charger is not a toy. Charger should be operated by an adult.
  • Do not operate charger near flammable materials.
  • Unplug charger and disconnect from Crazy Cart Shift when not in use.

Always disconnect from the charger prior to wiping down and cleaning your Crazy Cart Shift with damp cloth.

Frame, Fork and Steering Wheel
Check for cracks or broken connections. Although broken frames are rare, it is possible for an aggressive rider to run into a curb or object and crack or break a frame. Get in the habit of inspecting your Crazy Cart Shift on a regular basis

Hardware/Loose Parts
Before every ride, check all parts, such as nuts, bolts, cables, fasteners, etc., to ensure they are secure and assembled correctly. There should not be any unusual rattles or sounds from loose parts or broken components. If the unit is damaged, do not ride.Reference “Safety Warnings” on pages 1 and 2 of  this manual.

Safety Gear
Always wear proper protective gear, such as an approved safety helmet. Elbow pads and kneepads are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles) and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels and motor. NEVER RIDE BAREFOOTED OR IN SANDALS.

Laws and Regulations
Always check and obey any local laws or regulations.

Insurance
Do not assume that your existing insurance policies necessarily provide coverage for electric product use. Check with your insurance company for information regarding insurance.

Storage
Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain and the elements may damage the enclosure materials, store indoors when not in use.

HOW TO OPERATE THE CRAZY CART SHIFT

Before you ride this exciting product, take the time to learn about the controls and their effects on how the Crazy Cart Shift moves. Start out slowly. With practice and care, you must familiarize yourself with these riding hints and tips so  that your experiences with the Crazy Cart Shift will allow you to maximize fun while keeping in control.

Never turn the ON/OFF switch to ON before sitting down in the driver’s seat of the Crazy Cart Shift. By getting yourself situated before turning the power ON, you won’t risk losing your balance by pushing the accelerator pedal while standing as you get into (or out of) the Crazy Cart Shift. Always turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF before exiting the Crazy Cart Shift.

Important Control Features:

Parent Controlled HIGH/LOW Speed Switch

Your Crazy Cart Shift features a hidden speed control switch that allows parents to discreetly reduce (or raise) the Crazy Cart Shift’s top speed. This limiter is intended for parents of younger children and those needing extra practice time to learn how the Crazy Cart Shift moves.

The switch has been hidden inside the Crazy Cart Shift’s battery compartment, such that riders cannot access it without using an Allen wrench. There are two settings:

  • When the switch is in the HIGH position, the Crazy Cart Shift has a top speed of 8 mph (13 km/h). This is the default setting and recommended for riders age 8 and older.
  •  When the switch is in the LOW position, the Crazy Cart Shift’s top speed is limited to 2.5 mph (4 km/h) and the recommended minimum rider age is 6 years old.

Accelerator Pedal and Steering Wheel

The Crazy Cart Shift allows really creative drifting, spinning and turning that no ordinary go-kart can do. If you have ridden a Razor RipStik® or a Razor RipRider® 360, think about those caster wheels and how they allow rapid changes of direction; or how a Razor Ground Force® Drifter™ go-kart allows full speed rear-end drifting. The Crazy Cart Shift builds on these  motions and adds even tighter turning possibilities through the fully rotational  front drive wheel and  the rear caster wheels. Practicing with the Crazy Cart Shift can lead to amazing fun, and it is important, as with all moving products, to always exercise caution when riding.

Accelerator Pedal

The Crazy Cart Shift has a foot pedal accelerator that controls the cart’s speed. This variable speed accelerator allows you to drive the cart at a range of speeds from 0-8 MPH (0-13 KM/H) in the HIGH setting and 0-2.5 MPH (0-4  KM/H) in the LOW setting, depending on how much it is depressed. This  ability to dynamically speed up and slow down is a key to controlled drifting. All stopping should be preceded by releasing any pressure on the accelerator pedal.

Steering Wheel

The Crazy Cart Shift’s steering wheel is different from a normal car or cart in a number of ways. The most important thing to remember about the Crazy Cart Shift’s steering wheel is that the arrow on it points in the direction where the cart is going to travel, regardless of how the rest of the cart is oriented. Simply keep pointing the arrow where you want the cart to go (varying  pressure on the accelerator pedal can change how the back of the Crazy Cart Shift follows, as described below).

The Crazy Cart Shift’s steering wheel is able to rotate more than 170° in each direction. The steering wheel has a “hard stop” when it has reached the limit of its turning – it won’t keep going around all the way, but by turning fully
one direction or fully the other direction, you can ride the Crazy Cart Shift backwards – and by turning at or near 90° the Crazy Cart Shift can go in a very, very tight circle (be careful to avoid losing control by turning so much as to risk becoming dizzy).

IMPORTANT: Always select a riding area that is level, smooth, dry, and completely free of traffic or obstacles. DO NOT RIDE AROUND VEHICLES!

Riding Tip: Learning when to push and when to let off of the accelerator pedal will improve your ability to do spins, drifts, and tricks smoothly. The best way to learn the Crazy Cart Shift’s abilities is to try things at low speed.

Excessive duration or speed in spins can lead to loss of balance, loss of control and tipping. Keeping one’s limbs and head tucked in tight to the center of the Crazy Cart Shift can reduce risks of tipping over because ergonomic forces can increase risk of tipping if the  body is leaning outwards  and/or the spinning speed accelerates too greatly. Take your foot off the accelerator pedal if spinning  becomes too fast to control, do not try to accelerate out of a spin. The Crazy Cart Shift may accelerate faster when lighter riders are on it, which is one reason the minimum recommended age is 6. Be safety conscious!

The steering configuration of the Crazy Cart Shift’s integrated drive and steering mechanism is similar to what some might call “bumper car” design. It has no self-correcting camber or castering features (meaning the steering tube goes straight up and down so the wheel doesn’t “align” itself on its own). Such steering might, in certain circumstances, shimmy or vibrate a little — this is normal. Usually it is the result of an uncoordinated or adverse control condition. If you feel a shimmy in the steering, a change of direction (“counter-steering”) and/or speed change helps re-establish smooth control.

Spinning, Drifting and Stopping the Crazy Cart Shift

The best use of the Crazy Cart Shift involves careful coordination of the steering and the accelerator. The majority of spins and drifts that can be done in the Crazy Cart Shift are accomplished by careful accelerator control and deliberate manipulation of the steering wheel. Learning where to point the arrow on the steering wheel and when to add or reduce power are the keys to smoothly controlling tricks. Smooth riding also increases the run time between charges. When first getting oriented with the Crazy Cart Shift, it is highly recommended that riders carefully apply the accelerator and take time to get familiar with the results of combining counter-steering and accelerator pedal control to manipulate the Crazy Cart Shift’s spins and drifts.

There is no separate brake on the Crazy Cart Shift, but with practice it is easy to stop. Of course, removing your foot from the accelerator pedal will slow the cart down as a result of friction in the drive train. To stop the Crazy Cart Shift’s forward motion immediately, take your foot off of the accelerator pedal and turn the steering wheel 90° to either side. Removing your foot from the accelerator pedal and turning the steering wheel will result in the Crazy Cart Shift spinning or drifting in a circle and slowing to a stop. By turning the  steering wheel 90° and taking your foot off the accelerator pedal, the rider can immediately arrest forward motion and instead turn away. In this way, the Crazy Cart Shift can avoid collisions and evade objects in its path.

For your safety, take the time to get familiar and comfortable with various combinations of depressing the accelerator pedal and turning the steering wheel to learn how to slow down and stop while maintaining control of the cart. Practice these skills for maximum rider safety.

These basic steering exercises may help to familiarize riders with their Crazy Cart Shift’s capabilities:

  1.  First steer in a circle.
  2.  Make the same circles, vary how much you depress the accelerator pedal and note how the Crazy Cart Shift reactsas you increase and decrease  speed while turning. You should notice that accelerating hard while turning results in the Crazy Cart Shift spinning out.
  3. Still making the same circles, experiment with keeping the body of the cart from spinning out by ‘counter-steering’. Counter-steering to stop the Crazy Cart Shift from spinning out is achieved by pointing the arrow on the steering wheel opposite the direction that the Crazy Cart Shift is spinning out in. For example, if you are turning hard toward the right, the  cart may spin out in a clockwise direction. This spinning out can be countered by turning the steering wheel slightly to the left and/or  reducing pressure on the accelerator pedal. Practice is the best way to master this skill.
  4.  Practice bringing the Crazy Cart Shift to a stop by taking your foot off the accelerator pedal and turning the steering wheel 90º to the left or right.
  5. Practice staying “tucked in” during tight turns or spins.

Recognize that these specialized riding features affect how the Crazy Cart Shift functions and require extra caution and attention to safe riding conditions and practices. Read and review the Safety Warnings on pages 1 and 2, and be extra careful with the Crazy Cart Shift to avoid traffic,  obstacles and downhill environments. This is not a “bumper car” and is not  designed to engage in collisions, jumping activities or for use on surfaces other
than hardened, smooth, flat and dry areas.

INTRODUCTION

This manual will help you understand, set up and safely use the Razor® Black Label HovertraxTM. It is important that you adhere to all safety warnings and cautions that appear throughout and that you use good judgment when riding, so keep reading!

A NEW TECHNOLOGY, WITH NEW CONCEPTS FOR CONTROL AND SAFETY
As is obvious the first time you see it, the Razor Black Label Hovertrax is different from things you may have ridden before. No handlebars. No front or rear wheel. No brake. It is new and it moves, which means if you are interested in riding it you should be interested in learning how to do that properly and if you are interested in minimizing the risk of falling off or being injured, you should be very interested in focusing on how to ride this new product as safely as possible. Helping you do that is the goal of this Manual and other warnings. THIS PRODUCT IS NEW, IT IS DIFFERENT, BUT IT MOVES AND YOU MUST UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN ORDER TO MAXIMIZE YOUR FUN AND MINIMIZE RISKS OF INJURY PRESENTED BY RIDING THIS NEW MOVING PRODUCT.

MOVEMENT OF THE RAZOR Black Label Hovertrax IS CONTROLLED BY THE ANGLE OF THE FOOT PLATFORMS, WHICH IS DETERMINED BY PRESSURE APPLIED BY THE RIDER’S FEET ON THE PLATFORMS.

Different? Well, yes, the Black Label Hovertrax is “different.” It is an electrically motorized, computerized, gyroscopically balanced-assisted, independently articulated, dual-platform two-wheeled personal mobility system. If that sounds unlike any bicycle, scooter, RipStik, roller skate, or water ski you have ever used, you’re on the right track.

However, the Razor Black Label Hovertrax does not operate “magically”, and it does not fly, float or disappear. Its movements are not controlled remotely, or by the rider’s brainwaves or earnest good wishes, and it has neither a steering wheel, nor a brake, nor external stabilizers of any kind. Yet it can go, stop, turn and back up and all of this is controlled solely by the rider’s feet moving at angles relative to the ground. THIS IS CRUCIAL TO RECOGNIZE AND TO REMEMBER AT ALL TIMES. The angle of your feet forward, level, or rearward on each foot platform is how Black Label Hovertrax receives, processes, and executes instructions from the rider. This will affect the operation of the Razor Black Label Hovertrax far more than leaning or “shifting body weight” alone.

WARNING: Read this manual including both “Safety Warnings” (pages 2-3) and “How to Operate” (pages 7-10) and learn to ride safely!

SAFETY WARNINGS

WARNING: Whenever you ride the Black Label Hovertrax you risk serious injury or death from collisions, falls, or loss of control. To ride safely, YOU MUST READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS IN THIS MANUAL.

WARNING: Riding any electric product can be a hazardous activity. Certain conditions may cause the equipment to fail without the fault of the manufacturer. Like other electric ride-on products, the Razor Black Label Hovertrax can and is intended to move, and it is, therefore, possible to lose control, fall off and/or get into dangerous situations that no amount of care, instruction, or expertise can eliminate. If such things occur you can be seriously injured or die, even when using safety equipment and other precautions. RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

WARNING: Failure to read and understand the “How to Operate” section of this manual (pages 7-10) increases the risk of injury due to falls or other incidents.

WARNING: NOT FOR RIDERS UNDER AGE 8 OR HEAVIER THAN 176 LB (80 KG). DO NOT EXCEED THE WEIGHT LIMIT OF 176 lb (80 kg) including backpacks and other items that might be carried. Exceeding the weight limit could injure the rider and damage the Razor Black Label Hovertrax. Rider weight alone also does not necessarily mean a person’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the Razor Black Label Hovertrax. Keep this product away from small children and remember that this product is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating the product.

Razor recommends that children under the age of 8 not be permitted to use this product. This recommendation is based not just on age or weight or height it reflects consideration of expected maturity and skills as well as physical size. The recommended rider age of 8 years or older is only an estimate and can be affected by the rider’s size, weight, or skills not every rider 8 years old or older will be suited to the product. Certainly, any rider unable to fit comfortably on the Razor Black Label Hovertrax should not attempt to ride it, but a parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill, and ability to follow rules. Razor emphasizes that adults are strongly advised not to disregard Razor’s recommendations or permit younger children to ride the Razor Black Label Hovertrax.

Because products, like the Razor Black Label Hovertrax, can and do present potential hazards plainly associated with their use, it is well recognized THE NEED FOR EXERCISE OF PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY IN SELECTING RIDING PRODUCTS APPROPRIATE TO THE AGE OF A RIDER, OR PARENTAL SUPERVISION IN SITUATIONS IN WHICH CHILDREN OF VARIOUS AGES MAY HAVE ACCESS TO THE SAME RIDING PRODUCTS, IS IMPORTANT. Not every product is appropriate for every age or size of rider, and recommendations are intended to reflect the nature of the hazards and the expected mental or physical ability, or both, of a rider to cope with the hazards.

Persons with any mental or physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury, impair their physical dexterity or mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions, and be able to understand the hazards inherent in a product’s use, should not use or be permitted to use products inappropriate for their abilities. Persons with heart conditions, head, back, or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas of the body), or pregnant women, should be cautioned not to operate this product.

CHECK AND MAINTAIN RAZOR BLACK LABEL HOVERTRAX
WARNING: Always inspect the Razor Black Label Hovertrax prior to use. Properly inspecting and maintaining your product can reduce the risk of injury. Before use, check to confirm that any and all guards or covers are in place and in serviceable condition. Check that the parts are functioning properly, that the tires are not damaged or worn excessively. The Razor Black Label Hovertrax should be maintained and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, using only the manufacturer’s authorized replacement parts, and should not be modified from the manufacturer’s original design and configuration. Replace worn or broken parts immediately.

Always check the battery charge before using the Razor Black Label Hovertrax. Do not ride the Razor Black Label Hovertrax when its battery is low, as indicated by a flashing red light and beeping. The Razor Black Label Hovertrax may stop operating and cause you to fall. Use only the Razor Black Label Hovertrax charger.

WARNING: Check local laws and regulations to see where and how you may use your Razor Black Label Hovertrax legally. Follow all applicable laws for vehicles and pedestrians.
SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR CONTINUED USE: AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL USERS
Periodically review this information and make sure that you understand all warnings, cautions, instructions, and safety topics. Do not let others ride the Razor Black Label Hovertrax until they have read this manual. Any type of wheeled activity can be hazardous. Wheels can, and are intended to move and it is, therefore, possible to get into dangerous situations and/or lose control and/or fall off. In such situations, serious injury or death could occur.

Always be aware of the activity around you. Use the Razor Black Label Hovertrax in areas free from fixed or moving hazards. Watch your surroundings for pedestrians, animals, and riders of other wheeled devices.

WARNING: Only use the Razor Black Label Hovertrax indoors or on completely smooth surfaces. Avoid obstacles and slippery surfaces, which could result in a loss of balance or traction and cause a fall. See the section on Terrain for more guidelines.

WARNING: Do not lift the Razor Black Label Hovertrax off the ground when the product is turned on. Do not turn on the Razor Black Label Hovertrax in mid-air. This will cause the wheels to spin freely which could result in injury to yourself or damage to things around you.
Ride defensively. Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel(s) or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, scooters, bikes, children, or animals who may enter your path, and respect the rights and property of others.

Never carry passengers or allow more than one person at a time to ride the electric product.

Never use headphones or a cell phone when riding. Never hitch a ride with another product.

Do not ride the Razor Black Label Hovertrax in wet or icy weather and never immerse this electric product in water, as the electrical and drive components could get damaged by water or possibly create other unsafe conditions.

NOTICE: This manual contains many warnings and cautions concerning the consequences of failing to maintain, inspect or properly use your Razor Black Label Hovertrax product. Because any incident can result in serious injury or even death, we do not repeat the warning of possible serious injury or death each time such a possibility is mentioned.

Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven, or rough surfaces may increase risks. Do not ride this electric product in mud, ice, puddles, or water. Avoid excessive speeds that can be associated with downhill rides. Never use near steps or swimming pools.

Do not ride at night or when visibility is limited.

Be careful and know your limitations. Risk of injury increases as the degree of riding difficulty increases. The rider assumes all risks associated with aggressive riding activities.

WARNING: Never operate any moving product, including the Razor Black Label Hovertrax, while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

PROPER RIDING ATTIRE
Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled). A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. Elbow pads, kneepads, wrist guards, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves are recommended. Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles) and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels, motor, and drive system. Never ride barefooted or in sandals.

USING THE CHARGER
The charger supplied with the electric product should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, the product must not be charged until the charger has been repaired or replaced.

Use only with the recommended charger.

Use caution when charging.

The charger is not a toy. Charger should be operated by an adult.

Do not operate chargers near flammable materials.

Unplug the charger and disconnect from the product when not in use.

Always disconnect from the charger prior to wiping down and cleaning your product with a damp cloth.

FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE AND HEED THE ABOVE WARNINGS INCREASES THE RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY. USE WITH APPROPRIATE CAUTION AND SERIOUS ATTENTION TO SAFE OPERATION.

Note: Once the product has been calibrated, no matter what position (angle) the platforms are in when it is turned off, the platforms will automatically self-balance themselves back to the calibrated position when the product is turned on.

CHARGING THE BATTERY

Your Black Label Hovertrax comes with a lithium-ion battery pack. Your Black Label Hovertrax may not have a fully charged battery; therefore you must charge the battery prior to use. Be sure to charge the battery in a clean, dry location away from direct sunlight, flames or sparks.

  • Use only the Razor Black Label Hovertrax charger.
  • Initial charge time: 6 hours.
  • Recharge time: up to 4 hours, even if the light turns green. Recommended maximum charging time is 24 hours.
  • Always charge the battery immediately after riding.
  • Fully charge the battery before storing it for extended periods of time.
  • Unplug the charger from the wall outlet when not in use.
  • Failure to recharge the battery periodically may result in a battery that will not accept a charge.
  • Make sure the Black Label Hovertrax power button is turned OFF when the product is not in use. If the power button is left on for an extended period of time, the battery may reach a stage at which it will no longer hold a charge.
  • Run time: Up to 40 minutes of continuous ride time. Run time may vary depending on riding conditions, rider weight, climate, and/or proper maintenance.
  • Constant stopping and starting may shorten ride time.
  • Do not charge at or below 32º F (0º C).
  • Do not allow the charger or battery pack to overheat. If they seem warm, allow them to cool down. Charge only at room temperature.
  • Do not place the product or charger in the sun or warm environment. Keep at normal room temperature.

WARNING: Use ONLY with the recommended charger. Batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision. The charger is not a toy. Always disconnect the charger before wiping down and/or cleaning the Black Label Hovertrax with a damp cloth.

The charger supplied with the Black Label Hovertrax should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts. In the event of such damage, the Black Label Hovertrax must not be charged until it has been repaired or replaced.

Chargers have built-in overcharge protection to prevent the battery from being overcharged.

Note: Charger design may vary from one shown

1 Plug the charger plug into a wall outlet. The light on the charger should be green.
Note: If the green light (LED) does not turn on, try a different outlet.

2 Make sure the power button
is in the OFF position. Plug the charger into the charger port on the Black Label Hovertrax. The light on the charger should turn red during charging. The light will turn green again when charging is complete.

• Battery Power Level Indicator

  • Green + Orange + Red Indicator Lights— battery is sufficiently charged.
  • Red + Orange Indicator Lights— Charge product as soon as possible. If you continue to ride the product, the
orange light will turn off. The red light will begin flashing and the product will begin to beep.
  • Flashing Red Indicator Light and Rapid Beeping— Step off and charge immediately. The battery is out of
power and the product will automatically shut off. Do not attempt to ride until the product has been recharged.

WARNING: The Black Label Hovertrax will notify you when the battery charge is dangerously low by beeping. The orange battery indicator light will turn off and the red light will begin to flash. If these warnings occur, immediately slow down and safely step off. Turn the product off. Do not attempt to ride again until the battery is recharged.

HOW TO OPERATE

HOW IT WORKS
The Black Label Hovertrax responds to the rider’s foot movements. Remember this. The Black Label Hovertrax moves due to fore and aft foot platform tilt caused by the rider’s foot (or feet).

Movement, speed, and stopping are controlled by the degree to which the rider’s feet cause the foot platforms of the Black Label Hovertrax to no longer be parallel to the ground.

When the product is “ON“, the gyroscopic mechanized balancing feature of the Black Label Hovertrax tries to keep the foot platforms of the product parallel to the ground. In use, Black Label Hovertrax then detects changes from “level” which are caused by fore and aft pressure on the foot platform(s) applied by the rider’s feet. Such changes are interpreted by the Black Label Hovertrax as instructions to make the wheels move. Black Label Hovertrax tries to re-level a forward tilt by accelerating and tries to level a rearward tilt by decelerating.

PERIODIC RECALIBRATION IS RECOMMENDED
The Black Label Hovertrax self-balancing features are calibrated to function with a detected “resting position” that is level. Over time and usage, recalibration may be needed to assure “level” status. If inaccurate calibration persists, this could affect the operation of the unit by sending instructions to the motor(s) to move that may differ from the intended motion.
To calibrate the product (see page 5 for additional information):

  • Turn power OFF.
  • Manually adjust the platforms so they are parallel to the ground.
  • Turn power ON and HOLD until it beeps and lights flash (approximately 15-20 seconds).
  • Turn the power back OFF.
  • Calibration complete.

Once the product has been calibrated, no matter what position (angle) the platforms are in when it is turned off, the platforms will automatically self-balance themselves back to the calibrated position when turned on.

MOVING AND CHANGING DIRECTION:

When a rider stands on the Black Label Hovertrax with an evenly weighted foot that is “level” on either foot platform:

  • Pressing toes on both feet downward move Black Label Hovertrax forward
  • Pressing heels on both feet downward move Black Label Hovertrax backward
  • Turns are done by putting more downward pressure on the front side of the foot platform on the outside of the turn.
  • A rider can spin in place by pushing downward on the front edge of the one-foot platform while simultaneously pushing down on the rear edge of the other foot platform.

ACCELERATING AND STOPPING:

  • To go faster or to slow down, press the foot platforms at a greater angle for “more” and reduce the angles
    for “less”.
  • When slowing or stopping, if you continue to apply force to the edges opposite the direction of travel, you may not only stop but continue on to reverse your direction.

How does this happen? The fundamental principle is that the Black Label Hovertrax is designed to be “at rest” when the foot platforms are level and the gyroscopic mechanized balancing feature detects the “levelness” of the product. This same feature detects foot movements that cause a foot platform to no longer be “level” and it interprets these changes as orders to move.

That’s it. That’s how it works. It does what your feet tell it to do, and the product “self-balance” itself in order to be ready to detect and implement the instructions provided by a rider’s feet.

Understanding this principle is important for obvious reasons. It also suggests some obvious warnings for riding the Black Label Hovertrax, such as:

  • Do not jump up and down on it: If you remove a foot (or both feet), then land back on the Hovertrax Black Label and cause the foot platform(s) to change position relative to “level” in any degree, the machine could and will react by moving immediately in response to an “instruction”, which can result in loss of rider stability, balance or control.
  • Shifting Weight Alone is Not the Issue: Do not presume that shifting weight alone controls motion or, for that matter, that not shifting weight equals “stability”. Shifting of rider weight may be associated with an increase or decrease of foot pressures on the foot platforms, but it is the action of the feet on the foot platforms which instructs Black Label Hovertrax to move. Conversely, if you were to shift your weight without altering the placement or angle of your feet so that the foot platforms remain level, the Black Label Hovertrax does not receive any “signal” to interpret.

Note: Do not lift the Black Label Hovertrax off the ground when it is turned on. Do not turn on the Black Label Hovertrax in mid-air.

Riding Tip: Certainly the rider may “lean” on the Black Label Hovertrax, but leaning only affects the foot platform’s position to the extent the rider’s feet change their position. If the rider’s ankles are held at a consistent 90° angle, leaning will result in tilting. Note that leaning can exaggerate shifting of weight, which may affect the ability of a rider to recover to a level posture increasing the possibility of a loss of balance.

HOW TO CHANGE MODES

Note: Whatever mode the Black Label Hovertrax was left in when turned off, will be the mode it begins in when turned back on.

Turn the power button “ON“.

Training mode (Default mode from factory)

TO CHANGE TO NORMAL MODE

Note: To go back to training mode, turn the power OFF, then press the power button ON. Press the power button twice BEFORE all indicator lights come on.

Press the power button twice BEFORE all indicator lights come on.

Normal modeBlack Label Hovertrax is ready to ride.

HOW TO GET ON
once you have charged the battery (see page 6 for charging information):
1. Power On: Set the Black Label Hovertrax on the ground and turn the power on. The battery/power mode
indicator will show either one or two lights to indicate mode (see page 8 for instructions on switching modes). Do NOT proceed to step two (2) until all lights on the indicator light up.

2. First Foot: While standing behind the Black Label Hovertrax, put one foot on a foot platform, closer to the wheel than to the center. Use that foot to activate the foot platform by bringing that foot platform to a balanced, level position.

3. Confirm Activation: Confirm the first foot platform is activated. Move your foot back and forth and feel the response from the product. Play with this single-foot platform until you are comfortable keeping the foot platform motion minimal.

4. Step Up: With the first foot platform stable and still, step up on the second foot platform with your second foot. Do this away from furniture and other large objects. Don’t use a fixed object to brace or lift yourself Keep your weight evenly distributed between the two-foot platforms. If you are uncomfortable; step back off and repeat from step 2. Try to stand on the Black Label Hovertrax without moving.

HOW TO RIDE:
5. Stand in Place:
Black Label Hovertrax is unique among two-wheeled items in that the active stabilization it provides allows you to stand in place. A scooter or bicycle may balance more easily when it moves, but a Black Label Hovertrax can balance even while stationary.

6. Move Forward: To move forward, press down gradually with your feet on the fronts of both foot platforms. Do not lunge forward or lean excessively, as you may lose your balance.

7. Slow Down: To slow down or stop, apply pressure to the rear edges of the foot platforms by pushing down with your heels. Leaning back somewhat may be useful but remember your feet are giving the instructions! If you continue pushing the rear edges with your heels, you will be able to travel backward.

8. Turn: To turn left, slightly push your right foot down on the front of the right foot platform; to turn right, push down on the front of the left foot platform. This idea is to make one wheel turn a little bit faster than the other wheel.

9. Rotate in Place: To rotate in place, push down on the front of the one-foot platform while pushing down with equal force on the rear of the other foot platform.

BLACK LABEL HOVERTRAX SPEED CONTROL
10. Not too fast: The max speed of this product is 9 mph (14.5 km/h), however, the recommended top operating
speed is approximately 6 mph (10 km/h). Speed may be affected by rider weight, surface conditions, battery charge, etc. The Black Label Hovertrax is capable of exceeding the normal operating speed for short periods, which is designed to permit the wheels to react and “re-balance” the product by helping level itself. Do not attempt to “force” the Black Label Hovertrax into continuous operation at “re-balance” speeds, as control will be more difficult and falls more likely.

HOW TO GET OFF:
11.Slow down and stop
12. Step to the back
13. Power down

Riding Tip: Before your very first ride, expect to spend up to ten minutes in this stage of learning how to stand comfortably on the Black Label Hovertrax.

Self-balancing Function: If the product is not level when powered on it will slowly rotate until it is level. Always wait to mount until it has completely stopped self-leveling and all lights on the battery/power mode indicator are lit.

Riding Tip: Your practice on Black Label Hovertrax should be to keep the platform in place and get a feel for the emotions that are generated from small changes in your fore/aft foot pressure.

Riding Tip: Black Label Hovertrax is best-ridden at speeds similar to a brisk walk, not faster.

Note: All lights flashing notes a leveling error. Do not ride until flashing stops.

NOTE: If Black Label Hovertrax is left on for more than 5 minutes, it will automatically turn off and beep.

PRODUCT WARNING SIGNALS
The Hovertrax Black Label has several built-in protection features, which include:

  • Self-leveling function: If the product is not level when powered on it will slowly rotate until it is level.
Always wait to mount until it has completely stopped self-leveling and all lights on the battery power mode indicator are lit.
  • Training Mode: This product can be set to training mode to operate at a slower speed (see page 8 for instructions). Do not operate in normal mode until you are completely comfortable riding in training mode.
  • Low or charging battery: The battery/power mode indicator light (orange) will indicate insufficient charge for operation by flashing and the product will beep.
  • Excessive angle shutoff: At excessively steep foot platform angles, the product will stop powered operation.

RIDING TIPS

  • Learn to ride the Black Label Hovertrax in a large, safe area free from all forms of interference.
  • Keep your posture upright, but relaxed. Align your body over the Black Label Hovertrax and use a wide stance with your feet close to the wheels.
  • Be alert. Scan both far ahead and in front of you – your eyes are your best tool for safely avoiding obstacles and slippery surfaces.
  • Hold your arms comfortably at your side.
  • Start at a slow and comfortable pace. Never aggressively accelerate or lunge forward.
  • Be careful and considerate of others.
  • Always ride under control at a speed that is safe for you and those around you.
  • Always be prepared to stop.
  • Respect pedestrians by always yielding the right of way.
  • Avoid startling pedestrians. When approaching from behind, announce yourself and slow down to walking speed when passing. Pass on the left whenever possible. When approaching a pedestrian from the front, stay to the right and slow down.

BLACK LABEL HOVERTRAX TIPS
Once you have charged the battery, follow these six easy steps:

  • Remember to check for the green battery indicator light before you get on. If it is not lit, the product is not on and you will fall.
  • Do not stand on or near the center or rotating portion of the foot platform.
  • Remember to keep your body relaxed through your back and legs. Stand naturally.
  • Practice controlled stopping.
  • If you stand with one foot on the foot platform with the product on, keep that foot level, or the Black Label Hovertrax will move.
  • Be aware of the width of the Black Label Hovertrax and the path you are traveling. Make sure you will fit.

TERRAIN AND AVOIDING HAZARDS, SLIPS, AND TRIPS
The Black Label Hovertrax is intended for indoors or uses on smooth, flat surfaces. However, to prevent loss of traction, you must always be careful when riding and learn to identify and avoid slippery and wet surfaces, loose materials, slopes, potholes, and other obstacles.

Stop and step off the Black Label Hovertrax over unsafe surfaces or terrain.

The Black Label Hovertrax wheels must be able to grip the ground for you to stay upright. Slips occur when the Black Label Hovertrax loses traction, potentially causing a loss of control and a fall. Abrupt maneuvers and riding over slippery surfaces, bumps, and loose objects and materials may cause the Black Label Hovertrax to lose traction.

  • Keep alert.
  • Never jump on or off the Black Label Hovertrax with both feet.
  • Please don’t ride transversely on a hillside or turn on a slope. This may cause Black Label Hovertrax’s balance sensors to be unable to orient themselves to a “level” state, impairing rider control.
  • Avoid riding over any surface where the undercarriage may strike an object.
  • Use caution when riding over any change in terrain.

Razor Jr Folding Kiddie Kick Scooter

Read and understand this entire manual before allowing child to use this product! For assistance contact Razor.

NOTE: Manual illustrations are for demonstration purposes only. Illustrations may not refl ect exact appearance of actual product. Specifications subject to change without notice.

SAFETY WARNINGS

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO PARENTS:
Razor® Jr products are intended to allow younger children to learn and to enjoy their early experiences using ride-on toys. Studies suggest that children at age 3 have the coordination required to use a steering wheel or handlebar
and can use a 3-wheeled scooter, but may not have developed the balance required to operate 2-wheeled scooters. This ability is expected to develop with time and experience to where, depending on experience, most children
by the age of 5 have the balance and coordination to use 2-wheeled scooters. Adult supervision is required as children learn and grow because children do
not understand the risks of riding in areas with cars and are at a very high risk of falling and injuring themselves. This manual contains important information. For your child’s safety, it is your responsibility to review this information and make sure that you instruct your child to follow all warnings, cautions, instructions and safety topics. Razor USA recommends that you periodically review and reinforce the information in this manual with younger riders and that you inspect and maintain your child’s Razor Jr scooter to ensure their safety.

GENERAL WARNING:
Scooter riding can be a hazardous activity. Certain conditions may cause the equipment to fail without fault of the manufacturer. Scooters can and are intended to move, and it is therefore possible to get into dangerous situations and/or lose control and/or fall. If such things occur you can be seriously injured or die. LIKE ANY OTHER MOVING PRODUCT, USING A SCOOTER CAN BE A DANGEROUS ACTIVITY AND MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH EVEN WHEN USED WITH PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

This manual contains many warnings and cautions concerning the consequences of failing to maintain, inspect or properly use your Razor Jr scooter. Because any incident can result in serious injury or even death, we do not repeat the warning of potential serious injury or death each time such a possibility is mentioned.

  • Do not allow children under age three (3) to use the scooter. Close adult supervision is required.
  • Do not exceed 44 lb (20 kg) total weight on the Razor Jr scooter.
  • Rider weight does not necessarily mean a child’s size is appropriate to fit or maintain control of the scooter.
  • Always pay attention to where your child is going.
  • Always wear safety equipment, such as helmet, knee pads and elbow pads. Always wear a helmet when riding your scooter and keep the chinstrap securely buckled.
  • Always wear closed toe shoes.
  • Ride on smooth, paved surfaces without loose debris, such as rocks or gravel, and away from motor vehicles.
  • Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes as scooter may suddenly stop.
  • Avoid streets and surfaces with water, mud, ice, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves and other debris. Wet weather impairs traction, stopping, and visibility.
  • Do not ride at night or when visibility is impaired.
  • Avoid excessive speed associated with downhill rides.
  • Obey all local traffic and scootering laws and regulations.
  • Watch out for pedestrians.
  • A parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill and ability to follow rules.

ACCEPTABLE RIDING PRACTICES AND CONDITIONS
Direct parental supervision is required at all times. Scooters are meant to be used only in controlled environments, free of potential traffic hazards and not on public streets. Do not allow your child to ride a scooter in any areas
where vehicle traffic is present. Child must maintain a hold on the handlebars at all times. Never allow more than one child at a time to ride a scooter. Never use near steps, sloped driveways, hills, roadways, alleys or swimming pool areas. Keep fingers and other body parts away from the product when folding or unfolding. Adults must not allow children to assist in folding or unfolding the scooter.

PROPER RIDING ATTIRE

Always ensure child is wearing proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet. A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. A child should always wear shoes, never ride barefooted or in sandals, and keep shoelaces tied and out of the way of the wheels. Knee pads and elbow pads are recommended. FAILURE TO USE COMMON SENSE AND HEED THE ABOVE WARNINGS FURTHER INCREASES RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WITH APPROPRIATE AND SERIOUS ATTENTION TO SAFE OPERATION. USE CAUTION.
WARNING: ALWAYS INSPECT SCOOTER PRIOR TO RIDING. Properly inspecting and maintaining your scooter can reduce the risk of injury. Always inspect your scooter before riding and regularly maintain it. Replace worn parts when they occur.
WARNING: CHECK LOCAL LAWS REGARDING SCOOTER USE. Check local laws and regulations to see where and how you may use your scooter legally. In many states and local areas scooter riders are required BY LAW to wear a helmet. Check local laws and regulations regarding laws governing helmet use and scooter operation in your area.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN

Adult assembly required. Remove contents from box. Inspect the contents for scratches in the paint and/or dents that may have occurred during shipping. Because your scooter was partially assembled and packed at the factory, there should not be any problems, even if the box has a few scars or dents.

WARNING: DO NOT USE NON-RAZOR PRODUCTS WITH YOUR RAZOR JR SCOOTER. Razor Jr scooters have been built to certain Razor design specifications. The original equipment supplied at the time of sale was selected on the basis of its compatibility with the frame and all other parts. Certain aftermarket products may not be compatible and will void the warranty.
WARNING: Keep fingers clear of the pivoting mechanism when folding or unfolding the Kiddie Kick. Do not allow children to fold or unfold this product.

Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. Do not use industrial cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surfaces. Do not use alcohol, alcohol-based or ammonia-based cleaners, as they may damage or dissolve the plastic components or soften the decals or decal adhesive.

Wheels
Under normal circumstances and conditions, Razor wheels are maintenance free. Nonetheless, it is the responsibility of the owner or guardian to periodically inspect the wheels for wear and tear, the axle for proper tightness, and for loose parts. When a wheel develops play, this is an indication of excess wear and replacement is necessary. Replace immediately with only genuine Razor wheels. Worn wheels are considered normal wear-and-tear and are not covered by the Razor Warranty. Wheels other than genuine Razor wheels may not be compatible with your Razor Jr scooter. The use of anything other than genuine Razor replacement parts may affect your safety and will void your warranty.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS during operation and maintenance Parents/adult supervisors read this page first

PARENTS/SUPERVISING ADULTS MUST TEACH CHILDREN HOW TO SAFELY RIDE THIS PRODUCT. If the rider fails to use common sense and heed these warnings, there is an increased risk of damage, serious injury, or possibly death.

Riding this Product Presents Potential Risks.

  • Like any riding product, this product can be hazardous (for example, falling off or riding into a hazardous situation). This product is, of course, meant to move and it is, therefore, possible for a rider to lose control or otherwise get into dangerous situations.
  • Both children and adults responsible for supervising them must recognize that if such things occur, a rider can be seriously injured or possibly die, even when using safety equipment and taking other safety precautions.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND USE COMMON SENSE.

Parental and Adult Responsibility and Supervision are Necessary

Because this product can be hazardous and not every product is appropriate for every age or size of child different age recommendations are found within this category of product which is intended to reflect the nature of the hazards and the expected mental or physical ability, or both, of a child to cope with the hazards. Parents and supervising adults need to select riding products appropriate for the age of the child who will ride this product and take care to prevent children who may be too immature or inexperienced for a product’s characteristics to endanger themselves around it.

  • The recommended rider age for this product is 9 years of age and older. Any rider, even 9 or older, unable to fit comfortably on this product should not attempt to ride it. A parent’s decision to allow his or her child to ride this product should be based on the child’s maturity, skill, and ability to follow rules. Keep this product away from small children and remember that it is intended for use only by persons who are, at a minimum, completely comfortable and competent while operating this product.
  • Maximum rider weight 100 kg.
  • Persons with any mental or physical conditions that may make them susceptible to injury, impair their physical dexterity or
mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and follow safety instructions and to be able to understand the hazards inherent in RazorX Cruiser use, should not use or be permitted to use products inappropriate for their abilities. Persons with heart conditions, head, back, or neck ailments (or prior surgeries to these areas of the body), or pregnant women, should be cautioned not to operate such products.

Check RazorX Cruiser Before Use Maintain After Use

  • Before use, check to confirm that any and all covers and guards are in place and in serviceable condition.
  • After use, maintaining, ing, and repairing this product in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications in this manual. Use only the manufacturer’s authorized replacement parts. Do not modify this product from the manufacturer’s original design and configuration.

Acceptable Riding Practices and Conditions Parents/adults should discuss these rules with their children. Protective equipment should be worn. Not to be used in traffic.

Where to Ride the RazorX Cruiser

  • Always check and obey any local laws or regulations which may affect the locations where this product may be used. Keep safely away from autos and motor vehicle traffic at all times and only use where allowed and with caution.
  • Ride defensively. Be careful to avoid pedestrians, skaters, skateboards, bikes, children, or animals who may enter your path. Respect the
    rights and property of others.
  • This product is intended for use on flat, dry surfaces such as pavement or level ground, without loose debris such as sand, leaves, rocks or
    gravel.
  • Wet, slick, bumpy, uneven, or rough surfaces may lessen traction and increase the risk of accidents.
  • Do not ride this product in mud, ice, puddles, or water.
  • Watch out for potential obstacles that could catch your wheel or force you to swerve suddenly or lose control.
  • Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes.
  • Do not ride this product in wet or icy weather and never immerse this product in water, as the electrical and drive components could be
damaged by water or create other possibly unsafe conditions.
  • Never risk damaging surfaces such as carpet or flooring by use of this product indoors.
  • Never use near steps or swimming pools.

How to Ride the RazorX Cruiser

  •  NOTE: This product must be moving at 5 km/h (3 mph) before the motor will engage.
  • Do not activate the remote unless you are on the RazorX Cruiser and in a safe, outdoor environment suitable for riding. Turn the power button
to the “ON” position for both the RazorX Cruiser and the remote.
  • Place one foot on the front of the deck and with the other foot, push (kick start) RazorX Cruiser while holding the lever on the remote in the
“GO” position. Place other foot on the rear of the deck once the motor has engaged.
  • Do not touch the electric motor on your product when in use (or after using) as it can become very hot.
  • Avoid high speeds, as you might have on downhill rides, where you might lose control.
  • Do not ride at night or when visibility is limited.
  • Do not attempt or do stunts or tricks on the product. The product is not strong enough to withstand misuse and abuse such as jumping,
curb grinding, or any other type of stunt. Racing, stunt riding, or other maneuvers also increase the risk of loss of control or may cause uncontrolled rider actions or reactions. All of these could result in serious injury or possibly death.
  • Never allow more than one person at a time to ride this product.
  • Do not allow hands, feet, hair, body parts, clothing, or similar articles to come in contact with moving parts or wheels.
  • Never use headphones or a cell phone when riding.
  • Never hitch a ride with a vehicle.

How to Stop

  • The product does not have a brake. However, it can coast to a stop or can use “dynamic motor braking” to slow more quickly.
  • While riding, release the remote lever and it will return to the “neutral” position. The product will slow to a stop with motor assistance.
  • To slow more rapidly to a stop, move the remote lever down to the stop position and hold. This will engage dynamic motor braking and the product will slow down more quickly.
  • Stepping off the product also works to stop, and releasing the remote lever will cut power to the motor.

Proper Riding Equipment, Clothes, Shoes

  • Always wear proper protective equipment, such as an approved safety helmet (with chin strap securely buckled), elbow pads, and kneepads. A helmet may be legally required by local law or regulation in your area. In addition, a long-sleeved shirt, long pants, and gloves are recommended.
  • Always wear athletic shoes (lace-up shoes with rubber soles), never ride barefoot or in sandals, and keep shoelaces tied and away from the wheels, motor, and drive system.

Using the Charger

  • Never modify the electric system. The alteration could cause a fire.
  • Use ONLY the RazorX Cruiser charger.
  • Initial charge time: 8 hours.
  • Recharge time: up to 6 hours, even if the light turns green. Recommended maximum charging time is 24 hours.
  • Turn off after each ride. The battery may be unable to recharge if left “ON” without use.
  • Do NOT charge at or below freezing (0º C).
  • Do not allow the charger or battery pack to overheat. If they seem warm, allow them to cool down. Charge only at room temperature.
  • Do not place the product or charger in the sun or warm environment. Keep at normal room temperature.
  • The battery pack should not be disassembled, crushed, punctured, opened, or otherwise mutilated.
  • The charger supplied with this product should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure, and other parts.
  • In the event of such damage, the product must not be charged until the charger has been repaired or replaced.
  • The charger is not a toy. Charger should only be operated by an adult.
  • Do not operate chargers near flammable materials or an open flame.
  • Unplug the charger and disconnect from the product when not in use.
  • Do not exceed charging time.
  • Always disconnect the product from the charger prior to wiping it down or cleaning with a damp cloth.
