  •  Do not vacuum up any inflammable or combustible liquids or gases and do not vacuum in areas where such substances are stored.
  •   Do not vacuum at head height and do not let the suction get anywhere near person’s head.
  • Important information on the handling of batteries (for models with LEDs or radio controls on the handle):
    – Do not short-circuit or recharge batteries, or throw them into a fire.
    – Disposing of batteries: Remove the batteries from the handle and dispose of them in a municipal recycling facility. Do not dispose of batteries with normal household waste.

Caring for the environment

Disposal of the packing material
The packaging is designed to protect the appliance from damage during transportation. The packaging materials used are selected from materials that are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled.
Recycling the packaging reduces the use of raw materials in the manufacturing process and also reduces the amount of waste in landfill sites.
Disposing of the dustbag and filters
Dustbags and filters are made from environmentally friendly materials and can be disposed of with the normal household waste, as long as they have been used exclusively for general household dust.

Disposing of your old appliance
Before disposing of your old appliance remove the dust bag and filters and dispose of them with your household waste.
Electrical and electronic appliances often contain valuable materials. They also contain specific materials, compounds and components, which were essential for their correct function and safety. These could be hazardous to human health and to the environment if disposed of with your domestic waste or if handled incorrectly. Please do not, therefore, dispose of your old appliance with your household waste.

Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection/recycling center for electrical and electronic appliances, or contact our dealer or Miele for advice. You are also responsible (by aw, depending on the country) for deleting any personal data that may be stored on the appliance being disposed of. Please ensure that your old appliance poses no risk to children while being stored prior to disposal.

Disposing of old batteries
In many cases, electrical and electronic appliances contain batteries that must not be disposed of with household waste after use. You are legally obliged (depending on the country) to remove any old batteries which are not securely enclosed by the vacuum cleaner and to take them to a suitable collection point (e.g. retailer) here they can be handed in ree of charge. Batteries may contain substances that can be hazardous to human health and the environment.
The labeling on the battery will provide further information. The bin symbol with a cross through it means that the batteries must not be disposed of in the household waste. A bin with a cross through it that also has one or more chemical symbols on it indicates that the battery contains lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), and/or mercury (Hg).

Old batteries contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled. Disposing of batteries separately makes them easier to handle and recycle.

Notes on Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 665/2013 (country-specific) and 666/2013
This vacuum cleaner is a domestic vacuum cleaner and is classified as a universal vacuum cleaner in accordance with the above-mentioned regulations.
These operating instructions and additional information are available to download from the Miele website at www.miele.com.
The annual energy consumption stated on the EU datasheet and the online energy efficiency label (both available in country-specific versions) describe the indicative annual energy consumption (kWh per year), based on 50 cleaning cycles. Actual energy consumption depends on how the vacuum cleaner is used.
All tests and calculations were carried out according to the following harmonized standards applicable at the time in due consideration of the published regulation guidelines of the European Commission from September 2014: a) EN 60312-1 Vacuum cleaners for household use – Part 1: Dry vacuum cleaners – Methods for measuring the performance.
b) EN 60704-2-1 Household and similar electrical appliances – Test code for the determination f airborne acoustical noise – Part 2-1: Particular requirements or vacuum cleaners.
c) EN 60335-2-2 Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-2: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaner and water suction appliances.
Not all floorheads and accessories supplied with the vacuum cleaner are intended for intensive cleaning of carpets or hard floors as described in the regulations. The following floorheads and settings were used to determine the values:
For energy consumption and cleaning class on the carpet and hard floors and sound power level on the carpet, the adjustable floorhead was used with the brush retracted (press the footswitch).
The values on the EU datasheet and the online energy efficiency label (both available in country-specific versions) refer exclusively to the combinations and settings of floorheads on the different floor surfaces described here.
Only original Miele dustbags, motor protection filters, and exhaust filters were used for all measurements.

It is easy to reduce the suction power for a short time, e.g. to prevent rugs or other objects from being sucked into the vacuum cleaner.

  • Open the air inlet valve on the handle far enough to reduce the suction power.

The floorhead will be easier to maneuver.
During vacuuming

  •  When vacuuming, pull the cleaner behind you n its wheels. You can stand it upright for vacuuming stairs and curtains etc.

When vacuuming – especially in the case of fine dust, e.g. sawdust, sand, flour, talcum powder, etc. – electrostatic charges build up naturally. Under certain conditions, these charges will be released. To avoid the unpleasant effects of these electrostatic discharges, a metal inlay has been incorporated into the underside of the handle. Please make sure that you keep your hand in constant contact with this metal strip during vacuuming. If your vacuum cleaner is fitted with an Eco Comfort handle, make sure that your hand is in contact with the top, arched part of the handle at all times. This is where the metal inlay is incorporated (Fig. 31, 32 + 33).

  • Slot the floorhead or floor brush into the parking attachment on the vacuum cleaner.

If your vacuum cleaner is on a sloping surface, e.g. a ramp, retract the telescopic ube fully.
Park System On/Off switch
Some models are fitted with an On/Off switch in the Park System.

The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically when the floorhead or floor brushis slotted into the parking attachment. When it is removed from the parking attachment, the vacuum cleaner switches back on at the previously selected power level.
Park System for storage (Fig. 36)
Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the power supply when you have finished using it. Switch off at the wall socket and withdraw the plug.

  •  Stand the vacuum cleaner upright.
  • Retract the telescopic tube fully.
  •  Slot the floorhead downwards into one of the parking attachments on the side of the vacuum cleaner.

This makes the vacuum cleaner easier to carry or store.

Maintenance

Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply for maintenance work and for cleaning. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug it. The Miele filtration system consists of three  components: – Original Miele dustbag (type GN)
– Motor protection filter
– Original Miele exhaust filter
These will need to be replaced from time to time to ensure that your vacuum cleaner performs efficiently.

We recommend using only dustbags, filters, and accessories bearing the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on the packaging. Only these will guarantee the optimum performance of your vacuum cleaner and the best possible cleaning results.
Dustbags with the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on the packaging are not made from paper or paper-based materials and nor do they have a cardboard collar. This is why our dustbags are particularly long-lasting and reliable. Please note that faults and damage caused by the use of accessories that do not bear the “ORIGINALMiele” logon the packaging are not covered by the vacuum cleaner warranty.

Purchasing dustbags and filters

Original Miele dustbags and filters are available from the Miele webshop, the Miele Spare Parts Department, and your Miele dealer.
Original Miele dustbags and filters are identified by the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on the packaging.

Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains 4 dustbags, one AirClean exhaust filter and one motor protection filter. Original Miele multipacks contain 16 dustbags, 4 AirClean exhaust filters and 4  motor protection filters (available depending on the country).
Original Miele exhaust filters can also be purchased separately from the Miele Customer Service Department or your Miele dealer. Please quote the model number of your vacuum cleaner when ordering to make sure you get the correct filter. You can also order these filters via the Miele webshop.

Airflow indicator (Fig. 37)

Change the dust bag when the colour marker in the airflow indicator turns red,or sooner if it is no longer effective (see possible reasons for this below).
Miele dustbags are intended to be used only once.  dispose of the dustbag when it is full. Do not attempt to re-use. Blocked pores reduce the suction power of the vacuum cleaner.
To check the airflow  indicator

  •  Attach the standard adjustable floorhead to the vacuum cleaner.
  •  Switch the vacuum cleaner on and select the highest power setting.
  •  Lift the floorhead off the floor a little.

How the airflow indicator works
The airflow indicator is set for normal household dust. This generally contains a mixture of dust,  hair, threads, carpet fluff, grit, etc.
However, if the cleaner has been used to vacuum up fine dust, such as plaster, brick dust, cement or flour,  the pores of the dustbag will become blocked very quickly. This affects the air permeability of the bag, and the marker will indicate that the bag is “full” even when it is not. The dust bag must be replaced if this is the case.
If, on the other hand, a large amount of hair and carpet fluff which typically contains a lot of air is vacuumed up, the indicator may fail to react even though the bag is full. You should still change it. Both these extremes can occur.

Remove the dust bag (Fig. 38)
  • Press the release catches at the side of the hose connector, and lift the hose from the socket.
  • Lift the release catch for the dust compartment lid and raise the lid as far as it will go (Fig. 09).
The dustbag has a flap that closes automatically when the dust compartment lid is raised to prevent any dust from escaping.
  • Pull the dustbag out by the grip on the collar.
Fitting a dustbag (Fig. 39)
  • Fit the new dust bag into the holder as far as it will go. Leave the dustbag folded up when you take it out of the box.
  • Close the dust compartment lid securely, making sure it clicks into position. Take care not to trap the dustbag when doing so.
A safety device prevents the lid from closing without a dustbag in place. Do not force it.
  • Insert the hose connector into the suction opening on the vacuum cleaner until it clicks into position. To do this, line up the guides on the two pieces (Fig. 01 + 02).

Replacing the motor protection filter (Fig. 40)

Replace the motor protection filter whenever you start a new packet of dustbags.
Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains a motor protection filter. Multipacks contain four motor protection filters (available depending on the country).

  • Open the dust compartment lid.
  • Pull the dustbag out by the grip on the collar.
  • Lift up the filter frame until it clicks and remove the old filter. Hold by the clean, unsoiled section to remove it.
  •  Replace with a new motor protection filter.
  • Close the filter frame.
  • Fit the dustbag into the holder as far as it will go.
  • Close the dust compartment lid securely, making sure it clicks into position. Take care not to trap the dustbag when doing so.
Replacing  the exhaust filter

Depending on the model, your vacuum cleaner will be fitted as standard with one of the following exhaust filters (Fig. 08):
a. AirClean
Replace this filter every time you start a  new packet of Miele dustbags. Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains one  AirClean exhaust filter. Multipacks contain 4  AirClean filters  (available depending on the country).

Replace this filter after approx. one year. Make a note of the date on the filter.
c. Silence AirClean 50 (grey)
d. Active AirClean 50 (black)
e. HEPA AirClean 50 (white)
Replace these filters when the timestrip® filter change indicator is completely red (Fig. 13). The indicator lights up after approximately 50 hours of operation, which is equivalent to about a year of average use. You can continue vacuuming when the light comes on. However, the suction power will be reduced as will the effectiveness of the filter if it is not replaced in good time.

Replacing the AirClean filter (Fig. 41 + 42)

Do not use more than one exhaust filter at a time.

  • Open the dust compartment lid.
  • Press the release catch on the filter grille and open the grille until it clicks.
  • Grasp the used AirClean filter by one of the clean, unsoiled sections and take it out.
  • Replace it with a new AirClean exhaust filter.
If you wish to fit an AirClean Plus 50, Silence AirClean 50, Active AirClean 50 or HEPA AirClean 50 filter, see the “Replacing one type of exhaust filter with another” section.

The vacuum cleaner and all plastic accessories can be cleaned with a proprietary cleaner suitable for plastic.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, glass cleaning agents, all-purpose cleaners or oil-based conditioning agents!

Dust compartment
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned using a dry duster, brush or, if available, a second vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust-out.
Do not let the vacuum cleaner get wet! If moisture gets into the vacuum cleaner, there is a risk of electric shock.

Problem solving guide

Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operations can be easily remedied. Time and money will be saved because a service call will not be needed.
The following guide may help you to find the reason for a malfunction or a fault,  and to correct it.

Problem Cause and remedy
The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically. On certain models, the overheating protection warning light also comes on. A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner automatically if it gets too hot.
This can occur if, for instance, large articles block the suction tube or when the dust bag is full or contains particles of fine dust. A heavily soiled motor protection or exhaust filter can also be the cause of overheating.

  • Switch the vacuum cleaner off immediately using the On/Off footswitch. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug it.
After removing the cause, wait for approximately 20– 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down can then be switched on again.

Miele Dishwashers User Guide

These short instructions are not a substitute for the operating instructions supplied with the machine. It is essential to familiarise yourself with the dishwasher before using it for the first time. Take note of the Warning and Safety instructions, as well as the full descriptions on how to use your appliance.

Guide to the appliance

Control panel

Brief instructions

  1. AutoDos (automatic dispensing)
  2. Detergent compartment
  3. Rinse aid reservoir
  4. Salt reservoir
  5. Filter combination

1. Filling the salt reservoir

  • Remove the lower basket from the wash cabinet and unscrew the salt reservoir cap.

Damage to the water softener from detergents.
Dishwasher detergent will damage the water softener.
Do not fill the salt reservoir with powder or liquid detergent.

Risk of corrosion due to saline solution.
Water or saline solution will run out of the reservoir when the cap is opened. Saline solution that runs out can cause corrosion in the wash cabinet and to the dishwasher load.
The salt reservoir should therefore only be opened to replenish the salt.

  • Fill the salt reservoir with approx. 2 l of water (first use only).
  • Place the funnel provided over the salt reservoir and carefully fill with dishwasher salt until the reservoir is full.
  • Clean any excess salt from around the reservoir opening and then screw the salt reservoir cap on again firmly.

2. Adding rinse aid

  • Lift the yellow catch on the lid of the rinse aid container .
  • Only fill with rinse aid until the fill level indicator (see arrow) turns dark when the door is open horizontally.
  • Close the lid making sure it clicks into place.
  • Wipe up any spilled rinse aid. This prevents over-foaming occurring during the next programme.

3. Loading the dishwasher
4. Detergent dispensing

There are two ways of dispensing the detergent. During automatic dispensing, the Auto Dos function will automatically dispense the required amount of detergent for each programme once a Power Disk has been inserted. If you have deactivated automatic dispensing, you can dispense detergent manually.

Automatic detergent dispensing
Before you can use Auto Dos, you must insert a Power Disk containing powder detergent into the Power Disk compartment.

  • Slide the yellow catch of the AutoDos lid to and open it.
  • Before you use Auto Dos for the first time, remove the transport lock from the Power Disk compartment.

  • If the arrows in the Power Disk holder and in the viewing window are not pointing towards each other, remove the Power Disk holder.

Caring for the environment

Disposal of the packing material

The packaging is designed to protect the appliance from damage during transportation. The packaging materials used are selected from materials which are environmentally friendly for disposal and should be recycled. Recycling the packaging reduces the use of raw materials in the manufacturing process and also reduces the amount of waste in landfill sites.

Disposing of the dustbag and filters
Dustbags and filters are made from environmentally friendly materials, and can
be disposed of with the normal household waste, as long as they have been
used exclusively for general household dust.

Disposing of your old appliance
Before disposing of your old appliance  remove the dustbag and filters and dispose of them with your household waste.

Please dispose of it at your local community waste collection / recycling centre for electrical and electronic appliances, or contact your dealer or Miele for advice. You are also responsible (by law, depending on country) for deleting any personal data that may be stored on the appliance being disposed of. Please ensure that your old appliance poses no risk to children while being stored prior to disposal.

Notes on Delegated Regulation

(EU) No. 665/2013 and 666/2013

This vacuum cleaner is a domestic vacuum cleaner and is classified as a universal vacuum cleaner in accordance with the above-mentioned regulations.
These operating instructions, the EU data sheet and the online energy efficiency label for this vacuum cleaner are available to download from the Miele website at www.miele.com.

The annual energy consumption stated on the data sheet and on the energy efficiency label describes the indicative annual energy consumption (kWh per year), based on 50 cleaning cycles. Actual energy consumption depends on how the vacuum cleaner is used.
All tests and calculations were carried out according to the following harmonised standards applicable at the time in due consideration of the published regulation guidelines of the European Commission from September 2014:

  1. EN 60312-1 Vacuum cleaners for household use – Part 1: Dry vacuum cleaners – Methods for measuring the performance.
  2. EN 60704-2-1 Household and similar electrical appliances – Test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise – Part 2-1: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaners.
  3. EN 60335-2-2 Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-2: Particular requirements for vacuum cleaner and water suction appliances.

Not all floorheads and accessories supplied with the vacuum cleaner are intended for intensive cleaning of carpets or
hard floors as described in the regulations. The following floorheads and settings were used to determine the values:
For energy consumption and cleaning class on carpet and hard floors and sound power level on carpet the universal floorhead was used with the brush retracted (press the foot switch). If your vacuum cleaner is supplied as standard with an SID Intensive floorhead, this will have been used for determining the values. If your vacuum cleaner is supplied as standard with the SRD hard floorbrush, this is designed for intensive vacuuming of hard floors with gaps and crevices and will have been used to determine the above values on hard floors. The values on the EU data sheet and the energy efficiency label refer exclusively to the combinations and settings of floorheads on the different floor surfaces described here. Only original Miele dustbags, motor protection filters and exhaust filters were used for all measurements.

    During vacuuming
  • When vacuuming, pull the cleaner behind you on its wheels. You can stand it upright for vacuuming stairs and curtains etc.

When vacuuming, in particular fine dust, e.g. sawdust, sand, plaster, flour, talcum powder etc., electrostatic charges build up naturally. Under certain conditions these charges will be released. To avoid the unpleasant effects of these discharges, a metal inlay has been incorporated into the underside of the handle. Please make sure that you keep your hand in constant contact with this metal strip during vacuuming (dia. 26).

Setting down, transportation and storage

Park System for pauses during vacuuming (dia. 27)
The Park System allows you to conveniently park the suction tube and floorhead during brief pauses.

  • Slot the floorhead into the slot in the parking attachment.

If your vacuum cleaner is on a sloping surface, e.g. a ramp, – retract the telescopic suction tube fully – do not use the park system if your vacuum cleaner has an EasyLock suction tube.

Park System for storage (dia. 28 + 29)

Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the power supply when you have finished using it. Switch off at the wall socket and withdraw the plug

If your vacuum cleaner has an EasyLock suction tube you can separate the two sections for storage purposes

  • Press the release button on the lower section and pull the top section out.
  • Push the connection piece attached to the upper tube into the lower tube.
  • Stand the vacuum cleaner upright.

If your vacuum cleaner has a telescopic suction tube, retract the tubes fully so that it takes up less room for storage

  • lot the floorhead downwards into one of the parking attachments on the side of the vacuum cleaner.

This makes the vacuum cleaner easier to carry or store.

Maintenance

Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply for maintenance work and for cleaning. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug it.

The Miele filtration system consists of three components:

  • Original Miele dust bag (type GN)
  • Motor protection filter
  • Original Miele exhaust filter

These will need to be replaced from time to time to ensure that your vacuum cleaner performs efficiently.
We recommend only using genuine dust bags, filters and accessories with the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on them. This will ensure that the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is maintained, giving the best possible cleaning results. Dustbags with the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on them are not made from paper or paper-based materials and nor do they have a cardboard collar. This is why our dustbags are particularly long-lasting and reliable. Please note that appliance faults and damage originating from the use of accessories which do not carry the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo will not be covered by the appliance guarantee.

Purchasing dustbags and filters
Original Miele dust bags and filters are available from the Miele web shop, the Miele Spare Parts Department and your Miele dealer. Original Miele dust bags and filters are identified by the “ORIGINAL Miele” logo on the packaging.

Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains four dust bags, one AirClean exhaust filter and one motor protection filter. Original Miele multipacks contain 16 dustbags, four AirClean exhaust filters and four motor protection filters (available depending on country).

Original Miele exhaust filters can also be purchased separately from Miele or your Miele dealer. Please quote the model number of your vacuum cleaner when ordering to make sure you get the correct filter. You can also order all accessories via the Miele web shop.

Dust bag change indicator (dia. 30)
Change the dustbag when the colour marker in the dust bag change indicator turns red, or sooner if it is no longer effective (see possible reasons for this below).

Miele dust bags are intended to be used only once. Dispose of the dust bag when it is full. Do not attempt to re-use. Blocked pores reduce the suction power of the vacuum cleaner.

To check the dustbag change indicator

  • Attach the standard adjustable floorhead to the vacuum cleaner.
  • Switch the vacuum cleaner on and select the highest power setting.
  • Lift the floorhead off the floor a little

How the dustbag change indicator works
The dustbag change indicator is set for normal household dust. This generally contains a mixture of dust, hair, threads, carpet fluff, grit etc. However, if the cleaner has been used to vacuum up fine dust, such as plaster, brick dust, cement or flour, the pores of  the dustbag will become blocked very quickly.

This affects the air permeability of the bag, and the marker will indicate that the bag is “full” even when it is not. The dustbag must be replaced if this is the case. If, on the other hand, a large amount of hair and carpet fluff which typically contains a lot of air is vacuumed up, the indicator may fail to react even though the bag is full. You should still change it. Both these extremes can occur.

Remove the dustbag (dia. 31)

  • Press the release catches at the side of the hose connector, and lift the
hose from the socket (dia. 02).
  • Lift the release catch for the dust compartment lid and raise the lid as
far as it will go (dia. 13).
The dustbag has a flap which closes automatically when the dust compartment lid is raised to prevent any dust escaping.
  • Pull the dustbag out by the grip on the collar.
    Fitting a dustbag (dia. 32)
  • Fit the new dustbag into the holder as far as it will go. Leave the dustbag folded up when you take it out of the box.
  • Close the dust compartment lid securely, making sure it clicks into position. Take care not to trap the dustbag when doing so.

A safety device prevents the lid closing without a dustbag in place. Do not force it!

  • Insert the hose connector into the suction socket on the vacuum cleaner until it clicks into position. To do this, line up the guides on the two pieces (dia. 01).

Replacing the motor protection filter (dia. 33)
Replace the motor protection filter whenever you start a new packet of dustbags. Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains a motor protection filter. Multipacks contain four motor protection filters (available depending on country).

Depending on the model, your vacuum cleaner will be fitted as standard with one of the following exhaust filters (dia. 12)

  1. a AirClean
Replace this filter every time you start a  new packet of Miele dustbags. Every packet of original Miele dustbags contains one AirClean exhaust filter. Multipacks contain four AirClean filters (available depending on country).
  2. AirClean Plus 50 (light blue)
Replace this filter after approx. one year. Make a note of the date on the filter.
  3. Active AirClean 50 (black)
  4. HEPA AirClean 50 (white)
Replace this filter when the exhaust filter TimeStrip® change indicator is completely red (dia. 17). The indicator lights up after approximately 50 hours of operation, which is equivalent to about a year of average use. You can continue vacuuming when the light comes on. However, the suction power will be reduced as will the effectiveness of the filter if it is not replaced in good time.

Replacing the AirClean filter (dia. 34 + 35

Do not use more than one exhaust filter at a time.

  • Open the dust compartment lid.
  • Press the release catch on the filter grille and open the grille as far as it will go.
  • Grasp the used AirClean filter by one of the clean, unsoiled sections and take it out.
  • Replace it with a new AirClean exhaust filter

If you wish to fit an AirClean Plus 50, Active AirClean 50 or an HEPA AirClean 50 filter, see “Replacing one type of exhaust filter with another”.

  • Close the filter grille.
  • Close the dust compartment lid.

Cleaning and care

Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical supply before cleaning it. Switch off at the wall socket and unplug it.

Vacuum cleaner and accessories
The vacuum cleaner and all plastic accessories can be cleaned with a proprietary cleaner suitable for plastic.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, glass cleaning agents, allpurpose cleaners or oil-based conditioning agents!

Dust compartment
The dust compartment can, if necessary, be cleaned using a dry duster, brush or, if available, a second vacuum cleaner to vacuum the dust out.

Problem solving guide
Many malfunctions and faults that can occur in daily operation can be easily remedied. Time and money will be saved because a service call will not be needed. The following guide may help you to find the reason for a malfunction or a fault, and to correct it.

Problem Cause and remedy
The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off automatically if it gets too hot. This can occur if, for instance, large articles block the suction tube or when the dustbag is full or contains particles of fine dust. A heavily soiled exhaust or dust compartment filter can also be the cause of overheating

Switch the vacuum cleaner off immediately using the On/Off foot controlSwitch off at the wall socket and unplug it. After removing the cause, wait for approximately 20 – 30 minutes to allow the vacuum cleaner to cool down. It can then be switched on again.
