Warning

  • Only operate the product from a socket that has been approved for the device. The socket must be installed close to the product and must be easily accessible.
  • Disconnect the product from the power supply using the On/Off switch – if this is not available, unplug the power cord from the socket.
  • If using a multi-socket power strip, make sure that the total power consumption of all connected devices does not exceed the power strip’s maximum throughput rating.
  • If you will not be using the product for a prolonged period, disconnect it from mains power.
  • Connect the power supply to the power socket on the rear side of the transmitter.
  • Connect the power supply to a mains socket.
  • Connect the RCA plugs of the audio adapter cable to the RCA sockets on the rear side of the transmitter. Connect the other end (jack plug) to the headphone jack of your audio source (television, hi-fi system, DVD player, MP3 player, etc.).
  • The red LED (2) lights up.

Installing the receiver/headphones, Fig. 2

  • Carefully pull off the earpad on the right-hand side.
  • Insert the two batteries supplied, making sure you observe correct polarity.
  • Reinsert the earpad until it audibly clicks into place.

Getting started

  • Switch on the audio source connected to the transmitter (TV or audio player).
  • Switch on the headphones by pressing the Power button (3). The LED (7) of the headphones lights up green. Make sure that the red LED (2) is lit. This confirms that the rechargeable batteries are charged.
  • Put the headphones on and set the volume to the desired level.
  • Before using the headphones for the first time, make sure that the battery is fully charged. Charge the battery for at least 24 hours before the first use.
  • Switch off the headphones if they are not being used and put them back onto the transmitter’s charging contacts.

Note

  • If you cannot get an optimum signal frequency, press the Auto Tune button (5) on the headphones.
  • If you cannot get an adequate frequency, change the frequency channel on the rear side of the transmitter. Then confirm the corresponding channel on the headphones by pressing the Auto-Tune button.
  • To get the best sound experience with your headphones, you should set the volume of the sound source (TV, stereo system, etc.) as high as possible and reduce the volume on the headphones themselves.

The transmitter will automatically switch off if it receives no audio signal for approximately 2 minutes, or if the signal from the audio source is too weak for flawless reception. As soon as the signal strength is sufficient, the transmitter will automatically switch back on. The headphones do not switch off automatically

  • Switch off the headphones.
  • Place the headphones in the charging station as shown, and make sure that the charging contacts of both devices properly touch each other.
  • The green LED (1) lights up. Charging begins automatically

Note

  • To prevent damage to the batteries, always switch off the headphones when they are not in use.
  • Before using the product for the first time, the batteries should be fully charged. To guarantee an acceptable charge, the batteries should initially be charged for 24 hours. Subsequent charging cycles then last approximately 10 hours.
  • The batteries will not be charged if the transmitter is off.

Troubleshooting

No sound

  • Check that the power supply plug is fully inserted into the mains socket and the other end is properly connected to the power supply socket on the transmitter.
  • Make sure that the headphones are on.
  • The battery in the headphones may have insufficient remaining charge. Charge the battery.
  • Check that your TV, hi-fi system or audio source is switched on and a channel is correctly configured to send an audio signal.
  • Increase the volume using the control on the headphones.
  • The connected audio/video device may not be in playback mode. Please start the playback.
  • The output volume of the audio source may be too low. Adjust the volume accordingly.

Distortion

  • Press the Auto-Tune button.
  • Set a different frequency channel (1, 2 or 3). Then press the Auto-Tune button again.
  • The battery in the headphones may have insufficient remaining charge. Charge the battery.
  • Increase the volume using the control on the headphones.
  • The distance between the headphones and the transmitter may be too great. Move the two devices closer together and turn the headphones in the direction of the transmitter.
  • The input level of the audio signal may be too low. Increase the volume of the audio source.

Care and Maintenance

Note
Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning it or if it is not going to be used for a long period of time.

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.

Getting started –Installing the Batteries

  • Slide the battery holder back into the remote until the clips locate.

Setup

This remote control can by default control 90% of models of the SAMSUNG brand, there´s no need to set it up. lf it doesn‘t work, please choose one of the following setup methods 5.1 or 5.2.

  3.  Please try to use the remote control. lf it doesn‘t work well, please try other codes: [002], [003], [004] …

lf the code is invalid, the LED flashes twice  and then lights up permanently.Toexit the setup, please press [MUTE].

FAST SEARCH
  1. Press and hold the key [MUTE] and [POWER] until the LED will be lit, then release keys.
  2.  Press the key [CH+]. Each time you press, the remote will search once. When the code changes, you can test if [POWER], [VOL+],[MENU],[0-9] keys work well. If ok , please press [MUTE] to save the code and exit.
  3. lf it doesn‘t work well, repeat the fast search by pressing [CH+].
CODE INQUIRY

Use the following method to find out which code is currently set:

  1. Press and hold [MUTE], then press [POWER] until the LED will be lit, then release keys.
  2. Input [9].[9].[0] with number keys. The LED will flash twice and goes off.
  3. Press the number key 1for the 1st digit of the code. The LED will start to flash. Count the LED flashes. The number of flashes resembles the code‘s first digit. Repeat this procedure for the 2nd and 3rddigit of the code:
    2nd digit -> enter 2 ->count LED flashes
    3rddigit -> enter 3 ->count LED flashes
    lf code number is [0] the LED will not flash.
Compatible Remote Control Model

Due to too many Remote Control models, we only list some of them below.
If your remote control is similar to the drawing, the replacement remote can control your TV (Page 74).

Resetting to factory settings

Press and hold the [RETURN] and [0] buttons for about 5seconds until the status LED flashes three times and then goes out. The remote control is now successfully reset to the factory settings.

All keys with learned codes or all copied keys, as well as all remote control settings will be deleted.

LEARN MODE

This remote control is equipped with a learning function. Thus, you could learn the functions of your original remote to this remote control.

BEFORE STARTING TO LEARN MODE
  • The batteries in the two remote controls have to be in good condition. Replace them if necessary.
  • Place the remote controls with the infrared diodes so that they point towards each other.
  • Where necessary adjust the height of both remotes so that infrared diodes are properly aligned.
  • The distance between the remote controls should be about 3cm.

  • Do not move the remote controls during the learning procedure.
  • Ensure that the room is not lit by fluorescent tubes or low energy consumption lamps since such light sources could interferewith the copying.
  • The 2remotecontrols must be at least 1meter away from any light source.
  • During learning mode, if no key is selected for more than 15 seconds, the learning mode will exit automatically or if no other remote signal is received.
  • Each function key will hold only one command. The new command to be learned will automatically replace the previous one.
ENTER LEARN MODE
  1. Press and hold the [MUTE] and [VOL+] keys for approx. 5seconds until the LED will be lit.THOMSON ROC1128SAM Replacement Remote-LEARNED KEY
  2. Enter the code [9] [8] [0], the LED will flash 2times and then remain on.
  3. The remote control is now ready to learn new commands.
LEARNING OF KEYS
  1. Press and release the desired key on the original remote control which you want the command to be learned. The LED at your replacement remote will flash to confirm that the information has been received.
  2. Then press and release the target key on the remote control you want to be learned.
  3. If the LED flashes 3times and then remains on, the command has been learned successfully.
  4. Repeat these steps to learn other key functions.
  5. Press the [MUTE] and [VOL-] buttons to save all learned functions and to exit the learning mode.

Note
While replacing the batteries, the remote control will keep the functions of the learned keys.

CLEARING OF LEARNED KEYS

6.4.1 CLEARING OF ONE LEARNED KEY

  2. Enter the code [9] [8] [1], the LED will flash 2times and then remain on.
  3. Press and release the desired key at the replacement remote control which you want to clear the learned command. If the LED flashes 3times, the learned command has been cleared successfully.

6.4.2 CLEARING OF ALL LEARNED KEYS

  2. Enter the code [9] [8] [2], the LED will flash 2times and then remain on.
  3. Press and release the [OK] key at the replacement remote control. If the LED flashes 3times, all commands have been cleared successfully.

SIMPLE Mode

This remote control is equipped with an SIMPLE Mode. Thus you could reduce the functionality of the remote control to its basic functions. It avoids that the TV Settings are changed by mistake. During the SIMPLE Mode, you still could use the following keys:

  2. Enter the code [9] [7] [0], the LED will flash two times and then remain on.
  3.  Press and release the [EXIT] key,if the LED flashes 3times, you have exited the SIMPLE Mode.

While the SIMPLE Mode is activated only the keys mentioned in chapter 7. will work. If one of these keys is pressed the LED will be lit until the key is released. If one key is pressed during the normal mode, the LED will flash.

Maintenance

  • Do not mix new and used batteries for powering the Universal Remote Control, as old batteries tend to leak and may cause power drain.
  • Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleansers on your Universal Remote Control.
  • Keep the Universal Remote Control dust-free by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth.

Troubleshooting

Q. My Universal Remote Control does not work at all!
A. Check your TV. If the TV main switch is turned off, your Remote cannot operate your TV.
A. Check whether your batteries are inserted properly and are in the correct +/- position.
A. If the batteries are low, replace the batteries.
Q. My TV responds only to some of the commands.
A. Try other codes until most keys work properly.
Q. Some keys of the Remote Control do not work anymore?
A. Maybe the SIMPLE Mode had been activated. Deactivate the SIMPLE Mode as explained in chapter 7.2.

  •  Do not charge batteries.
  •  Do not throw batteries in a fire
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally harmful heavy metals.
  • Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
  • Avoid storing, charging or using the device in extreme temperatures and extremely low atmospheric pressure(for example, at high altitudes).

Getting started –Installing the batteries

Note

  • Alkaline batteries are recommended. Please use 2“AAA”(LR03/Micro) type batteries.
  • Remove the battery cover from bottom of remote. (A)
  • Check the +/- polarity on the batteries and inside the battery compartment.
  • Insert the batteries. (B)
  • Slide the battery holder back into the remote until the clips locate. (C)
  • When exchanging the batteries, it may be necessary to reprogram the unit. Hence it is advisable to record the codes needed for your devices.

Settings of the remote control

 Default setting/factory setting

This remote control comes factory preset. When the batteries have been inserted most of the devices of the brands Haier, Mitsubishi and Toshiba can be controlled. For other brands please use one of the following methods, A, B, CorD,for programming.

Method A–Topspeed searching of brands
  • Please take a look to the remote, each key has a brand over or under the key.These arethe brands preprogrammed on each key to help you to set up your remote with only one key. For example: the “TEMP” ▲ key is for LG and Samsung.
  • Manually turn on the air conditioner,and point the remote control towards the reception window of the air conditioner.
  • Press the key corresponding to your air conditioner brand until the air conditioner automatically activates with a“beep“ sound.
Method B–Fully automatic search applicable model
  • Manually switch on the air conditioner and point the remote control to the receiving window of the air conditioner.
  •  Keep pressing the “Set” button for about 6 seconds. Carefully observe the status of the air conditioner when the model code “–” flickers the window.Only release the button when the air conditioner starts automatically.
  • Check whether the button function is correct. If yes, the code would be valid. If not, please repeat the step 2-3.

Note
If you could not switch on the device manually,repeatsteps 1to3with the device switched off.Some brands accept the code searching but the process could take up to 5min.

Method C–Manual code inputting method
  •  Manually switch on the air conditioner, find the model corresponding to the air condi-tioner you areabout to control remotely in “Code List” and find the first group of codes.
  • Firstly keep pressing “Set” button and then press “Power” button at the same time. Don‘t release the two buttons until the model code flickers in the window. Then press the “Temp ▲” button until the code needed is shown in the window and flickers. The air conditioner will automatically start if the code is correct.
  •  Check whether the function of the various buttons is correct. If yes, the setting is finished. If not, please repeat step 2-3.
Method D–Manual code searching method
  • Manually switch on the air conditioner and point the remote control to the receiving window of the air conditioner.
  •  Firstly keep pressing the “Set” button and press the “Power“ button at the same time. Do not release them when the model code flickers in the window.Then press the “Temp ▲” button and carefully observe the status of your air conditioner.Press the “Set” button for exit when the air conditioner automatically starts.

Reset to default

Restore factory settings: synchronously press the “Set“” +“Wind ”button for 3seconds and then factory settings restoring is done.

Special functions

Rapid cooling and rapid heating button

  •  Press the “COOL”(fast cooling) button to automatically set the cooling mode:21°C, strong breeze, automatic wind.
  • Press the “HEAT” (fast heating) button to automatically set the heating mode:27°C, strong breeze, automatic wind.

Note
Under the heating mode, press the “HEATING” (Electric Auxiliary Heating) button to start the electric heating function. This function is only available if the air conditioner has a heating function.

Timing ON and OFF function

The remote control takes over the timer function of the original remote control. After pressing “TIME ON” or “TIME OFF” button, the timing indicator of the air conditioner will be lighted up, indicating that it has entered timing status.

Child-lock function setting

Locking: press the “Set” button and the “Manual Wind ”button synchronously and the display screen will display “Child-lock” icon . Unlocking: press “Set” button and “Auto-matic Wind ”button synchronously and the “Child-lock” icon on the display screen will disappear.

Clock function setting
  •  Keep pressing the “Set” button and “Mode” buttons synchronously. When the corresponding digit begins to flicker,it means it has entered clock setting.
  •  Press the “TEMP ▲”(or “Temp ▼”) button for 1hour increasing (decreasing). You can keep pressing for 2seconds for continuous increase or decrease.
  •  Press the “Set” button for hour-setting completion.
  • At this point, the digit the minute corresponds to begins to flicker. You may use the “Temp ▲”(or “Temp ▼”) button for minute setting.
  • After a minute setting, press the “Set” button to exit the clock setting.

Maintenance

  •  Do not mix new and used batteries for powering the remote control, as old batteries tend to leak and may cause power drain.
  •  Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleansers on your remote control.
  •  Keep the remote control dust-free by wiping it with asoft, dry cloth.
