The USS HS 2 has the following features:
- Nose handle
- D-ring bungee system
- EVA pad
- Carry handle
- H3 high-pressure valve
- Multiple D-rings
- 2 fixed fins
- Removable center fin
INFLATION
- Your HS ISUP is equipped with an H3 high-pressure valve. Unscrew the cap and check if the valve is closed by pushing the spring-loaded stem down and turning it. If the stem stays down, the valve is open, and air will escape after pumping. To close it, push the stem down and turn it counterclockwise until it springs up. It is now a one-way air valve, and air can be pumped into the valve but can not escape out of the valve.
- Attach your pump hose to the valve by turning the nozzle clockwise to lock it in place.
- Inflate to 15 PSI. The manual pump will not register until 7-8 PSI. Keep pumping if the gauge has not registered. Only use HS branded or approved electric pumps with an automatic shutoff to avoid overinflation.
- After inflation, disconnect the hose from the valve by pressing it down and turning counterclockwise. Close the valve with the cap.
*When inflated, there may be a small bump on the bottom of the board, directly underneath the valve. This is normal and will not affect its performance. This space is necessary during manufacturing to insert and connect the valve to the board.
*Never transport the HS ISUP fully inflated. Damages or warping incurred by improper transport is not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
*Do not leave your HS ISUP in direct sunlight when out of the water. Find a shaded area for it. Prolonged sun exposure can damage the board and void the warranty.
DEFLATION
- Make sure that the valve area is dry.
- Unscrew the valve cap and push the valve stem down lightly. Air will rush out quickly at first, then slowly release.
- Once air release slows, push the valve stem down and turn it clockwise to keep the valve in the open position.
- Roll up the board from the opposite end of the valve so the remaining air can escape. Once all the air has been released, push the valve stem up to close the valve and then close the cap.
- The side fins should be facing out to maintain their shape.
*The wrench included in the repair kit should only be used to tighten leaking valves, which happens rarely. Never use it to deflate your board.
FINS
- Insert the back of the fin into the front of the track on the center fin box and slide it all the way back.
- Secure the fin by inserting the tethered clip all the way through the hole.
- Check that the fin is locked in by wiggling it to make sure that it is securely attached.
CLEANING/STORAGE
- Clean your HS ISUP and accessories thoroughly after each use, rinsing off any sand or saltwater residue. Use a mild soapy solution for cleaning.
- Make sure the board is completely dry before storing it.
- When storing your board, keep it in a cool and dry place that is not susceptible to major temperature variations and other damaging factors. You may store it deflated and rolled up in the storage bag (recommended), or partially inflated.
REPAIR KIT
You can repair small punctures with the included patch. HH-66 vinyl cement glue is recommended (not included).
SAFETY
- Observe all local and national laws.
- Do not use this board in adverse weather conditions.
- Always wear a coast guard approved Personal Flotation Device. · Minors must be supervised at all times.
- Never use this board beyond your skills or abilities.
- Learn about your paddling area. Ask locals about currents.
WARRANTY
HSFC provides a 3 Year limited warranty on our ISUPs against manufacturer defects. This warranty applies to the board only and is not transferable. It does not cover abuse, misuse, normal wear and tear, punctures or loss. HSFC will repair, or at its discretion, replace the board.
