With DIRECTV Smart Search, you can search for movies, shows, sports, people, and channels on your DVR. Results appear as you enter the first letter of your search phrase.
Here’s how to use Smart Search:
- Press MENU on your remote, then Search & Browse.
- Select Smart Search. You’ll see a letter pad, as well as recommended shows & movies.
- Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the letters on the letter pad and press SELECT.
- Search results appear after the first letter selected.
- When the title of the program you’re looking for appears, you can set recording options.
The more you use Smart Search feature, the smarter it gets. It’ll save all your recent searches to help you find what you’re looking for the next time you search.
Smart Search is available on HD DVR receivers (model HR20 and beyond) as well as a DVR receiver (model R22).
