Why is the little rectangle on the side sucking in so much air and causing it not to work?
Just experienced this “rectangle sucking tons of air” problem with my UV850 Shark – turns out there was not one but two blockages: one in the hose and one in the very base of vacuum (which necessitated using a screwdriver to open the two grey screws on the bottom). Once I got these cleared the vacuum was back to normal.
What is the difference between Shark NV 352 and the NV 356
The 352 has a 25 foot cord, the 356 (professional) is 30′, the hard floor tools are different. The 356 has a microfiber ‘dust pad’ that goes over the hardwood floor attachment. The 352’s hard floor attachment has a ‘V’ shape to funnel debris no pad, but it does have a duster attachment both available to purchase separately. The dust cup on the 356 is larger and the overall machine is 2 lbs heavier then the 352. 356 also comes with a bag for the tools where my 352 did not. The other tools all appear to be the same on both models. They both run the same amps and can be converted into canister mode as well, but are aesthetically different.
How do you clean the filter?
There is a HEPA filter in front of the vacuum, you lift the door from the bottom and you can take it out and wash it. and then you lift the canister out from the base ( like you’re emptying the canister of dirt.) You will find 2 foam filters there. lift them both out and wash those too. Just dont throw in washing machine or dishwasher. I use dish detergent and wash them off in the sink. Just make sure they are completely dry before putting them back on the vacuum. After a dozen or so washings they will break down ( you will know this ) extra filters can be purchased on EBay or Amazon or other websites. I usually clean the foam filters when they are a very dark brown or gray color, then i also wash the HEPA filter also. Good luck! Here a PDF file that tells you all about the shark vacuum .Page 13 & 14 tell you how to clean the filters . http://prcind.com/user_manuals/NV351-FS.pdf
whats the difference between this and the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright
the lift-away professional is a larger capacity canister , with extra crevice tools, and a wider cleaner head path .
which model is best for removing pet hair?
As long as you clean it regularly this one is wonderful. The pet hair attachment is great on the couch and it pulls up everything from the carpet. It keeps up with a husky rather well.
is the cord retractable?
No-the cord is “not” retractable. You have to wrap it up around two backside hooks.
Can you clean under a bed?
In order to clean all the under the bed you have to use an attachment or the bed has to be rather high off the floor.
Is the brush motorized or air powered?
We would like to inform you that this vacuum includes a 5.5″ crevice tool, 24″ crevice tool, and dusting brush. The optional pet power brush is air driven.
how noisy is it?
Its very noisy when you put it in carpet mode. But it does the job. My cats HATE it but all cats hate loud noises and like cats, they have short memories and forget about it after a while. What impresses me most is how the canister fills up with dust and dirt that you didn’t even know was there to begin with.
How to empty cannabis
It’s very easy. Just unbuckle the snaps on the side
How much does thid vacuum weigh?
No more than a normal Vacuum, if anything less. This Vacuum is the best I have ever owned.
is cord retractable
No the cord is not retractable.
Where is the Shark NV352 manufactured?
Pluto
what is the difference between the 352 and 360?
This is the only shark vacuum I have ever owned so I do not know what the difference is. This works very well for me. I got a good deal on this and for the money I paid I am feeling like I got a bonus. There is bigger models, but for me it is fine. The only draw back is it tips easy.
Does it have a beater ball?
It has a beater BAR on the actual vacuum and in one of the attachments
Does it come with tools?
It came with 2 detachable tools.
