The Auray BA-XE4 articulating broadcast arm features rugged steel dual-arm construction that will give your office or home studio the look and feel of a professional broadcast studio. This durable broadcast arm features an integrated 10-foot XLR mic cable and a 5/8″-27 stud for rapid attachment of your microphone and shock mount assembly that weighs up to 3.5 pounds. Parallel spring configuration allows for smooth and noiseless mic positioning with up to 20 inches of reach, and dual locking knobs assure the mic won’t slip out of position once it’s set. The included flange mount and C-clamp provide temporary or more permanent tabletop or desktop mounting options

Instructions

Mounting the Arm with the C-clamp

The C-clamp is perfect for nonpermanent mounting on surfaces up to 2.2 inches thick, such as tabletops, desks, or workstations.

Caution: For a secure and stable setup, the desk’s surface and underside should be flat, and the corners should be square. Attaching the clamp to a beveled, curved, or uneven surface can result in unstable and unsafe installation.

  1. Fully open the C-clamp.
  2. Place the C-clamp on the edge of a desk so the C-clamp bracket is flush against the side of the desktop
  3. Secure the C-clamp by tightening the T-handle until it’s securely fixed to the desktop
  4. Loosen the mounting socket’s locking knob, and slide the arm’s base stud into the C-clamp’s socket.
  5. Position the arm as desired, and tighten the locking knob to secure the arm’s position. Loosen the locking knob to swivel the arm or remove it from the mount

Mounting the Arm with the Tabletop Flange mount

The tabletop flange mount is for permanent installation onto surfaces like production tables, podiums, and broadcast workstations.

  1. Place the flange mount on a secure, flat surface like a tabletop or desktop.
  2. Secure it to the surface with three screws.
  3. Loosen the mounting socket’s locking knob, and slide the arm’s base stud into the flange’s socket.
  4. Position the arm as desired, and tighten the locking knob to secure the arm’s Loosen the locking knob to swivel the arm or remove it from the mount.

Adjusting the Microphone Angle

  1. Loosen the microphone locking knob, and adjust the angle of the microphone.
  2. Tighten the microphone locking knob.

Adjusting the Tension on the Broadcast Arm

The broadcast arm supports a microphone and shock mount assembly that weighs up to 3.5 lb. To increase the arm’s tension, tighten the tension knob until the microphone is securely held in place.

Connecting the microphone

Once the microphone and shock mount are attached to the broadcast arm, plug the arm’s integrated male XLR connector into the microphone’s female XLR jack.

Warranty

One Year Limited Warranty 

This Auray product is warranted to the original purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal consumer use for a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date or thirty (30) days after replacement, whichever occurs later. The warranty provider’s responsibility with respect to this limited warranty shall be limited solely to repair or replacement, at the provider’s discretion, of any product that fails during normal use of this product in its intended manner and in its intended environment. Inoperability of the product or part(s) shall be determined by the warranty provider. If the product has been discontinued, the warranty provider reserves the right to replace it with a model of equivalent quality and function.

This warranty does not cover damage or defect caused by misuse, neglect, accident, alteration, abuse, improper installation or maintenance. EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, THE WARRANTY PROVIDER MAKES NEITHER ANY EXPRESS WARRANTIES NOR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. This warranty provides you with specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary from state to state.

To obtain warranty coverage, contact the Auray Customer Service Department to obtain a return merchandise authorization (“RMA”) number, and return the defective product to Auray along with the RMA number and proof of purchase. Shipment of the defective product is at the purchaser’s own risk and expense.
