The Beats Solo Pro is designed for the on-the-go listener. For a pair of on-ear headphones, noise cancellation is remarkably effective. Although the sound signature remains bass-heavy, as is typical of Beats, vocal reproduction is rarely overpowered.
Strong and Rigid Case
The protective case is less harmful to the environment. It’s made of recycled plastic and has a felt-like feel to it, which I prefer to Beats’ prior cases, especially the Studio3’s uninspiring hard cover, which takes up too much space in a backpack.
Battery Life
When using noise cancelling, the Solo Pro lasts little over 22 hours between charges. With the noise cancelling turned off, they are rated to last up to 40 hours. Apple’s proprietary Lightning cable, including those included with iPhones, is used for charging. The bundle includes a USB-A to Lightning cable. A 10-minute charge lasts up to three hours of video playback, while a full charge takes one hour and 45 minutes.
