The I.D. Disc should be attached to your cat’s collar (NOT from a ring attached to the collar) so that it is as high as possible and parallel to your cat flap. We recommend the use of a fabric collar without large metal attachments (other name discs etc.).

Program the new I.D. Disc to your specific Cat Mate product model as follows:

Cat Mate Microchip Cat Flap (Ref. 360)

  1. Partially remove the battery cover (A, Fig. 1) to reveal the ‘PROGRAM’ button (B). 
  2. Press and hold the ‘PROGRAM’ button for 5 seconds until the LED (C) illuminates. Wait a minimum of 10 seconds.
  3. Place the front of the I.D. Disc in the tunnel opening.
  4. When programmed, the LED will flash.
  5. Press the ‘PROGRAM’ button to save the setting.

Cat Mate Elite I.D. Disc Cat Flap with Timer Control (Ref. 305) and Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control (Ref. 355) – current model
If your cat loses its I.D. Disc, you will need to re-program its replacement as follows:

  1. Press the ‘PROG’ button (D, Fig. 2) for 5 seconds, the next unused Cat number will flash and there will be lines moving around the first ‘TWO ZEROS’.   
  2. Press the ‘+’ button (E) to select the appropriate Cat number you wish to reprogram.
  3. Place the front of the I.D. Disc in the tunnel opening.
  4. When programmed, the ‘TWO ZEROS’ will disappear and ‘Pr’ will flash.
  5. Press the ‘PROG’ button to save the setting.

Cat Mate Elite I.D. Disc Cat Flap with Timer Control (Ref. 305) and Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control (Ref. 355) – old model
If your cat loses its I.D. Disc, you will need to re-program its replacement as follows:

  1. Press the ‘PROGRAM’ button on the circuit board under the battery cover (F, Fig. 3), for 5 seconds. On the LCD ‘CAT 1’ and the ‘NUMBER 1’ will flash
    – there will be lines moving around ‘TWO ZEROS’.             
  2. Press the ‘+’ button to select the appropriate I.D. Disc number.
  3. Move the I.D. Disc close to the flap and the rotating ‘TWO ZEROS’ will disappear.
  4. Press ‘SET’ button to save the setting.
