ECG Refrigerador - RISK OF FIREThis appliance contains R600a (the coolant isobutane), natural gas which is very environmentally friendly but flammable. When transporting and installing the equipment it is necessary to make sure that no part of the cooling circuit is damaged. In the case of damage,
reduce the flame and ventilate the premises where the appliance is located for a few minutes.
DANGER
This product contains a flammable coolant. Do not attempt to repair! All repairs may only be carried out by a qualified person.

THIS APPLIANCE IS INTENDED SOLELY FOR BEVERAGE COOLING.

INSTALLATION
Do not tilt the minibar more than 45 ° from the vertical position during transport. Protect it from mechanical stress. Deformations, especially in the door area, could negatively affect the performance of the minibar.

  • Place the minibar on a stable and level surface. Use the two adjustable front feet for leveling.
  • Leave enough space around the minibar necessary for proper operation.
  • Do not place minibar in too hot or humid places to prevent damage due to humidity.
  • Do not place the minibar on a  carpet or other delicate surfaces, the heat from the compressor could damage them.

Changing the door opening
To access the lower hinge, you will need to tilt the minibar back. Do not tilt the minibar more than 45 degrees and never place it on its side.
To change the door opening direction:

  1. Remove the plastic cover of the upper hinge and put it aside.
  2. Unscrew the 3 screws that secure the metal hinge structure, carefully slide the door off and place it on a soft surface.
  3. Remove the plastic insert on the opposite side of the minibar and door. Then attach the upper door hinge to this side and fasten it with the screws that you previously unscrewed. Replace the plastic hinge cover.
  4. Remove the adjustable foot on the bottom of the minibar and set it aside.
  5. Unscrew the two screws securing the lower door hinge and carefully transfer it to the opposite side of the door. Set the door on the top and bottom hinges before screwing in the hinge (pay extra attention as the door will be loose). Then attach the adjustable foot with the screws to the opposite side of the minibar.

Make sure that you can open and close the door without any problems. Now let the minibar standstill for at least 3 hours. Then you can turn it on.

USE
The temperature control is located at the rear side of the minibar beside the compressor.
Before using for the first time, turn on the refrigerator without any beverages and allow it to stabilize.

  1. Clean the interior of the appliance.
  2. Plug the minibar in the socket.
  3. When using for the first time, set the thermostat knob to position 5, i.e. the highest level.
  4. Lower the temperature setting to level 3 after 20 minutes. This setting should be optimal for normal household use.
  5. To switch off the appliance, simply unplug it from the electrical socket.

NOTE:
After unplugging the appliance from the socket or after a  power outage, it is necessary to wait 3 – 5 minutes before putting it back into operation. If you try to start the appliance earlier, it will not work.

Tips for effective cooling
Adjust the temperature inside the appliance according to the volume of beverages stored and also the ambient temperature.

  •  In winter, set temperature to level 1–2 (outdoor temperature approx. 5–10 °C)
  • In spring and autumn to level 2-4 (outdoor temperature approx. 10-15 °C)
  • In summer to level 4-5 (outdoor temperature approx. 15-25 °C)
  • Inserting more beverages at once, opening the door frequently, or opening the door for a long time leads to increased power consumption.
  • Do not put too heavy or sharp objects or aggressive substances into the minibar.
  • To reduce the moisture and ice forming, never put beverages in unsealed packaging in the minibar. The frost tends to concentrate in the coldest parts. Storing uncovered liquids results in a more frequent need for defrosting.
  • Open the door as little as possible during a power outage.
  • Check from time to time if there is sufficient ventilation (adequate air circulation behind the appliance).
  •  Under normal temperature conditions at home set the thermostat to a medium value.

Internal temperature differs between individual parts. The lowest temperature is in the back
WARNING: If you set the temperature too low, the beverages can freeze. In extreme cases, glass bottles may even burst. Therefore set the temperature carefully.

  •  Do not place heavy (over 20 kg) objects on the refrigerator.
  •  Also, do not place any objects on the refrigerator that may fall when the door is opened.
  • After disconnecting the appliance, wait at least three minutes before reconnecting it.

If you will not use the minibar for longer period of time
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, do the following:

  • Unplug the minibar from the electrical socket.
  • Clean the interior of the appliance and wipe it dry. Leave the door slightly ajar to avoid moisture build-up inside the appliance.
  • If you do not use the minibar for a  long period of time and do not clean it regularly, it may create an unpleasant odor and mold.

MAINTENANCE

Defrosting
Once the minibar is in operation, the surface freezes. This is part of a completely normal operation. However, if the ice layer is greater than 3 mm, the refrigerator must be defrosted and cleaned to avoid excessive power consumption and inefficient performance.
Never use sharp or metal objects to remove the ice when defrosting. You could damage the minibar.

  1. Remove all drinks from the minibar and unplug it from the electrical socket.
  2. Return the temperature selector to its original position after defrosting.

Cleaning

  1. Unplug the minibar from the electrical socket.
  2.  Wash the inside of the appliance using a neutral detergent.
  3.  Dry all surfaces thoroughly.

Note: Do not use aggressive cleaning agents. To ensure the efficient operation of the appliance, the back and bottom of the appliance should also be carefully cleaned. Clean the sealing using soapy water.

  • Unplug the minibar and remove all beverages before you move it.

Note: Never grab the appliance by the door.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Read the instructions below before you decide to claim a  malfunction. Maybe you can solve the problem yourself.

Problem Solution
Cooling does not work or is
ineffective.
  • Check the power cable and fuses.
  • Check the temperature setting. Set the appropriate temperature according to the instructions in the chapter “Tips for effective cooling”.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before first use
  • Clean the appliance using dry cotton cloth prior to first use. Wash plates and drip tray thoroughly. We do not recommend washing in the dishwasher! The salts are very aggressive and can cause damage in the long term. Do not use abrasive powders or abrasive cleaners.
  • Carefully dry the plates before reinstalling them into the appliance. Make sure that the plates in the appliance are properly secured.
  • Do not forget to return the drip tray in its place.
  • Unwind the power cable fully.
Note: The first time you use a new appliance, there may be some odor coming from the plates. This is normal and it disappears gradually during use. For this reason we recommend that you „burn“ the grill for at least 30 minutes without foods before first use.

Food preparation

Warning:

  • After each use, switch off the grill not only using the thermostat controls, but always unplug the power cord from the outlet.
Do not use the appliance to cook or defrost frozen food. All foods must be completely defrosted before processing by this appliance.
  • The plates and the metal surfaces of the appliance become very hot during operation. To prevent burns, use heat-resistant gloves and touch only the handle and parts designed for this purpose.
  • Do not use metal utensils, which could scratch and damage the non-stick surface of the plates.

Notes:

  • You can use the grill in 3 positions. 1) Baking2) Grilling 3) BBQ.
  • It takes about 2 to 3 minutes to reach working temperature, for times of cooking see the table at the beginning of the manual.
  • These guidelines are only for orientation, the time of cooking depends on the type and thickness of the foods.
  • The foods should be thoroughly cooked before eating. If you are not sure, you should extend the cooking time a bit.

CONTACT GRILL PREPARATION

  • Select the plates (grid or waffle plates) you want to use and make sure they are securely attached.
  • Close the contact grill and plug it in, press the main switch (M). The red light comes on, which means that the appliance has been switched on. Use the appropriate temperature setting knob to set the desired upper and lower grilling surface temperature: “MIN” is the minimum level for light roasting, while “MAX” is the highest level for thorough roasting. First try the setting in the middle. As soon as the indicators light up, the appliance plates are preheated to the desired temperature and you can start grilling. Later, you can set the temperature lower or higher according to your preferences. Different dishes are also cooked at different time lengths.
  • This product offers separate temperature settings for the top and bottom plates. To use the product as a contact grill, it is necessary to set the temperature of the top and bottom plate to the same value. If you want to use the product as an open grill, you can only switch on one of the baking plates.
  • Preheating takes approx. 3-5 minutes.

Note: If the power indicator does not light up, check if the main switch is turned on.

COOKING MEALS

To use as a contact grill

  • Set the temperature of both baking plates to the desired setting. Try to set maximum temperature first. Later, you can set the temperature lower or higher according to your preferences.
  • Prepare burgers, boneless pieces of meat or thin pieces of meat or other food according to the recipe and place them on the bottom grilling plate.
  • Close the top grilling plate with the adjustable hinge, which is designed to press evenly on the food. The top plate must be fully lowered for even grilling.
  • After grilling, use the handle to open the lid. Take out the food with a plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife, as they can damage the non-stick surface of the grilling plates.
  • The contact grill is ideal for preparing burgers, boneless pieces of meat and thin pieces of meat and vegetables.
  • Also use the product as a contact grill if you want to cook something in a short time or if you are looking for a healthy way of grilling. When cooking on the contact grill, the food is baked quickly because you grill both sides of the food at the same time. The grids on the grill plates in combination with the drain in the corner of each plate allow grease to drip from the meat and drain from the plates.

Using the grill tilt
If you want to achieve a more efficient dripping off of grease during grilling, you can fold out the support on the underside of the grill.

For use as a sandwich maker

  • Set the temperature of both baking plates to the desired setting. Try the “MAX” setting first. Later, you can set the temperature lower or higher according to your preferences.
  • Prepare the sandwiches and place them on the bottom baking sheet. Always place the sandwiches towards the back on the bottom plate.
  • Close the top grilling plate with the floating hinge, which is designed to press evenly on the food. The top plate must be completely even for the sandwiches to bake thoroughly.
  • Bake the sandwiches for 3 to 6 minutes, or until golden brown. Adjust the cooking time to your own taste preferences.
  • When you have finished baking the sandwich, use the handle to open the lid. Take the sandwich out using a plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or a knife, as they can damage the non-stick surface of the grilling plates.
  • Use the sandwich maker mode to prepare sandwiches, bread or quesadillas.
  • This product has been designed with a unique handle and hinge, which allow you to adjust the width of the grill to the thickness of the food. You can easily grill anything, from thinly sliced potatoes to tall sirloin steak, with consistently good results.
  • When grilling more than one food in the contact grill, it is important that the thickness of the ingredients is even. Otherwise, the plates will not fit well together.

To use as an open grill

  • Place the contact grill on a clean, flat surface on which you plan to cook. The contact grill can be used in an open, horizontal position.
  • The top plate / cover will be completely aligned with the bottom plate / base. The top and bottom plates are placed side by side to create one large grill surface. To open the contact grill to this position, press the hinge release lever on the right side.
  • Handling the button for opening the grill into horizontal position: Place your left hand on the handle and press with the right hand the button for opening the grill into horizontal position (E). Push the handle back until the top cover is horizontal on the surface. To close the grill without using the release button, simply grasp the grill handle and lower the top to the closed position.
  • Use the contact grill in the open position to prepare burgers, steaks, poultry (we do not recommend preparing bone-in chicken because it does not cook evenly on the open grill), fish and vegetables.
  • Cooking on an open grill is the most universal way to use a contact grill. The grilling surface is doubled in the open position.
  • You have the option of cooking different types of food separately, without mixing their flavors, or cooking large amounts of the same type of food. The open position also allows you to grill different pieces of meat with different thicknesses, which allows you to bake each piece exactly according to the desired degree of roasting.

To use as a waffle iron

  1. Pick and properly attach the waffle plates.
  2. Close the appliance and plug it in, press the main switch (13). The red light turns on; set the temperature of the upper and lower baking surface to the required temperature. The recommended temperature on the front panel of the device is marked by hatching and the waffle symbol. When preparing waffles, always set the top and bottom baking surfaces to the same temperature. As soon as the indicators light up, the appliance plates are preheated.
  3. Open the lid of the baking surface and lightly grease it with butter or a little oil. Pour the dough on the bottom surface so that it completely covers the mold, but at the same time does not overflow.
  4. Close the lid for 4 – 7 minutes – adjust the baking time to your own taste preferences (you can try to open the top plate and if the lid cannot be opened easily, the waffles are not yet enough baked through and the baking time needs to be extended).
  5. When the food is ready, open the lid using the handle. To remove the food, use a plastic spatula. Never use metal tongs or knife, you could damage the non-stick surface of the grilling plates.

Procedure to remove the grilling plates

  • Before removing the grilling plates, always unplug the contact grill and let it cool.
  • Open the contact grill to the horizontal (open) position.
  • Press firmly the grilling plate lock release button. The plate is then easily released from the base. Grasp the board with both hands, slide it out from under the metal brackets, and lift it. Pull out the second grilling plate in the same way.

Storing in vertical position

By moving the lifting lever, you can lock the grill in a vertical position for storage.

Lifting the grilling plates

By lifting the lifting lever to the horizontal position, you can create a gap between the upper and lower grilling plates for preparing dishes where direct contact with the upper grilling surface is undesirable, and you only want to use heat from above.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Disconnect the appliance before cleaning from the power supply and wait until the appliance and the plates cool down entirely.
  • Clean the external surfaces with only moistened cloth to prevent water, oil or grease from getting into the appliance.
  • Remove and empty the drip tray after each use. Then wash it with hot water and detergent solution, rinse thoroughly and dry it thoroughly before putting it back in the appliance.
  • When cleaning the plates, you can leave them in the appliance and wipe them with a damp cloth or tea towel. Or you can remove them and wash them under running water. Then dry them thoroughly.
  • If baked food remains on the plates, you can apply a damp paper towel or damp cloth to the cooled plates and let the baked in food soak for a time.
  • Do not clean the inside and outer surfaces using abrasive powders, abrasive cleaners or aggressive chemicals. You would damage the exterior finish of the appliance.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids!
  • Appliance storage: Make sure that the grill, including the grill plates, is perfectly clean, dry, the drip tray is clean and dry, properly inserted in the appliance and secured, and that the grill plates are locked together. Store the appliance in a dry and clean place.

  3. When using for the first time, set the thermostat knob to position 5, i.e. the highest level.
  4. Lower the temperature setting to level 3 after 20 minutes. This setting should be optimal for normal household use.
  5.  To switch off the appliance, simply unplug it from the electrical socket.

NOTE: A
After unplugging the appliance from the socket or after a  power outage, it is necessary to wait 3 – 5 minutes before putting it back into operation.

The lowest temperature is in the back.

If you will not use the minibar for a longer period of time
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long time, do the following:
