Frequently Asked Questions

I frequently travel; will this work with 220 volt outlets, such as those in Africa?

Of sure, I say. The adapter can work with voltages between 100 and 240V.

Does it have to be mounted on the ceiling?

The Lenovo M1 does not require ceiling mounting and features a built-in battery. It could also be placed on a desk or counter.

I linked this through HDMI to a computer, but when I also try to connect a Bluetooth sound system, nothing happens. Is it even possible? Thanks!

As a suggestion, cast the video to the projector using a USB flash drive before pairing the Bluetooth speaker.

Can you use this outside?

Of sure, I say. With one charge, its built-in battery allows for 1.5 to 3 hours of outdoor use.

Netflix does not work using the remote. Any recommendations? Thanks

Yes, I’m experiencing the same issue. It’s mostly because Netflix is side-loaded on it, which means that it wasn’t downloaded and installed through the official Google Play Store, but rather, independently, from a third-party website. Because the programmer is incompatible with the Android OS of the M1 Projector, the Remote will not function on it. Use the touch mouse that is provided on top of the projector as a workaround, or connect a connected or wireless mouse to the projector.

Is it possible to install this with the image inverted and upside down?

Yes, it certainly can.

What is the projector’s shortest throw distance?

The Lenovo M1 projector currently has a screen size of 10 inches, which is also its smallest projected range. The screen size is 20 inches at this point when the projection distance is 20 inches.

Is there a 1/4″ tripod mount on this?

YES! This device works well with tripods.

Is sound played? If not, how can I connect it so that it may play sound over a wireless Bluetooth speaker?

Due to this device’s full Android operating system, you may pair speakers or other devices with it much like a tablet.

Would you kindly assist me? Where can I get the user handbook and how can I connect to the computer? thanks

You’ll need an HDMI connector on your computer.

Is it possible to use a portable charger to recharge?

Since it uses the included pin charger to charge, I guess not.

Does the battery need a power source to be charged?

It can be recharged and uses one charge to last approximately two hours in “normal mode.”
