WARNING!

  • This jump starter generates a high current of up to 600 peak Amps. Read and understand all safety information before using this product. Failure to follow these safety instructions may cause ELECTRIC SHOCK, EXPLOSION, or FIRE, which may result in SERIOUS INJURY, DEATH, or PROPERTY DAMAGE.
  • This product is only compatible with 12V lead-acid batteries. DO NOT attempt to use products with any other battery types.
  • This unit is not intended to be used as a replacement vehicle battery. DO NOT attempt to operate a vehicle that does not have a battery installed.
  • Use only the jumper cables provided with this unit. MotoMaster is not responsible for user safety or damage when using accessories not approved by MotoMaster.
  • The cable clamps connecting the boosting cables to the vehicle’s battery terminals must be positive to positive (red clamp to battery “+”) and negative to negative (black clamp to battery “—”).
  • Do not crank the engine for more than 3 seconds at a time. The jump start feature is designed for short-term operation only. Operating the jump start feature for more than 3 seconds may cause damage to the unit. Allow the battery booster pack to cool down for at least 3 minutes after each boost.
  • Always turn the unit off when not in use.
  • DO NOT use the unit to jump-start a vehicle while charging the internal battery.
  • Charge only at ambient temperatures between 0°C and 45°C (32°F and 113°F).
  • DO NOT charge the unit through the 12V DC charging port if your vehicle’s electrical system operates above 15 V. This may lead to accumulation of hydrogen, causing exposure to fire and explosion hazards.
  • Ensure that there are no USB devices connected to the battery booster pack while the unit is being recharged.
  • DO NOT insert foreign objects into either USB port.
  • This unit is not for use by children and should only be operated by adults.
  • Store in a cool, dry place. DO NOT store in locations where the temperature may exceed 35 °C (95 °F).
  • If this unit is leaking liquid dispose of it at the proper recycling facility immediately.
  • The product contains a lithium-based battery. Dispose of the product according to local regulation at end of product life.

WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK

  • DO NOT expose the product to rain, snow, or use in damp conditions. NEVER submerge the unit in water. Product is an electrical device that can produce shock and cause injury if used in wet environments.
  • DO NOT operate the unit if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way.
  • DO NOT disassemble the unit; the unit should only be serviced by a qualified technician. Refer to the warranty section of this manual for instructions on obtaining service. Attempting to service the unit yourself may result in a risk of electrical shock or fire and will void the warranty.

WARNING! EXPLOSION HAZARD

  • DO NOT operate the unit near the presence of flammable/combustible liquids or gases. DO NOT expose the unit to extreme heat, fire, or incineration.
  • NEVER attempt to jump-start a frozen battery.
  • NEVER allow the red and black clamps to touch each other or a common piece of metal. The battery booster pack contains components that tend to produce arcs or sparks.
  • Batteries generate hydrogen gas during normal operation which can be ignited by sparks from electrical connections. To prevent the risk of fire or an explosion, always operate in a well—ventilated area and follow all safety information instructions.
  • Always ensure someone is nearby to help you in an emergency.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY

  • Always wear eye protection when working with batteries. Batteries can explode and cause flying debris.
  • If battery acid comes into contact with eyes, flush the affected area with running water immediately for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.
  • If battery acid comes into contact with skin, rinse immediately with water and wash thoroughly with soap and water. If redness, pain, or irritation occurs, seek medical attention immediately.
  • Be sure to remove all metal items (watches, necklaces, rings, etc.) before using the jump start system.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Getting Started

This product comes partially charged and needs to be fully charged prior to use. Carefully read and understand the vehicle owner’s manual on specific precautions and recommended methods for jump-starting the vehicle. Make sure to determine the voltage and chemistry of the battery by referring to your battery owner’s manual prior to using this product. This product is for jump-starting 12-volt lead-acid batteries only.

Recharging

IMPORTANT!

  • Improper charging may result in damage to the unit.
  • Ensure that there are no 12 V DC appliances connected to the unit while being recharged.
  • Do not operate any of this unit’s functions while charging is in progress.
  • Do not recharge the unit while connected to an external battery.
  • Recharge battery after each use or at least every 6 months when in storage to prolong battery life and keep the unit ready for use.
  • Charge only at ambient temperature between 0°C and 45°C.
  1. Connect the micro USB cable to the unit’s USB IN port
  2. Connect the other end of the micro USB cable to any powered USB power port such as a laptop, 12V DC adaptor (included), or AC charging cube (not included)

OPERATION

Battery Status

Press the Power-Button-Icon.png buttons. The Internal Battery Level Indicator LEDs will illuminate to indicate battery capacity level.

USB Power

IMPORTANT!
Make sure there are no devices plugged into the USB power port when the unit is being recharged or stored.

The unit is equipped with a USB port Quick Charge 5V,2.4A/ 9V,2A/12V,1.5A power output This port is ideal for charging portable electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and more.

  1. Connect device(s) to USB OUT port(s) using a USB cable.
  2. Press Power-Button-Icon.png to turn the unit on and activate USB power.

Auto Shut-Off Feature

This jump starter has a built-in energy-saving feature that will automatically shut off the unit after 30 seconds if no load is detected or after 4hours of continuous operation.

LED Flashlight

This unit has a built-in multi-mode LED flashlight for convenience and emergency use. Hold the Power-Button-Icon.png button for 3 seconds to activate the LED flashlight. Keep pressing the Power-Button-Icon.png button to cycle through the 4 options. 100% -> Strobe -> SOS – > Off

Jump Starting

WARNING! EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

  • Do not crank the engine for more than 3 seconds at a time. The jump start feature is designed for short-term operation only. Operating the jump start feature for more than 3 seconds may cause damage to the unit.
  • If the engine does not start, wait at least 30 seconds between attempts.
  • Do not attempt more than 5 consecutive jump-starts within a 15 minutes period. Allow the product to rest for 15 minutes before attempting to jump-start the vehicle again.
  • Risk of shock, fire, combustion, and burns, do not disassemble, modify, crush, heat above 60°C (140°F), or incinerate.
  • Do not attempt to jump-start an engine if the battery level is at 50% or less. Doing so lowers the chance of successfully boosting your vehicle.
  • Do not place the unit where it could fall when the vehicle starts up.
  • Make sure that cables are routed away from the motor fan or belts.
  • For 120 vehicles only

Warning!
Instructions are for negative ground systems only most common for vehicles today). If your vehicle is a positive ground system, reverse steps 2 and 3. Please consult your vehicle’s manual to confirm your vehicle’s ground system.

  1. Press Power-Button-Icon.png to turn the unit on. If less than 75%, recharge the unit before attempting a jump start.
  2. Connect the Smart Jumper Cables to the unit.
  3. Connect the red clamp to the POS (+) terminal of the vehicle battery.
  4. Connect the black clamp to the NEG (-) terminal of the vehicle battery.

MOTOMASTER 011 2062 4 Jump Starter and Power Bank - Symbol 2 The connection is reversed. • Reverse the clamp connections.
No connection detected:
1. Poor connection between clamps and battery terminals, or
2. Vehicle battery voltage extremely low.
• Check to ensure a clean and solid connection between clamps and battery terminals.
• If after checking that clamps have a good connection both LEDs are OFF, the use of OVERRIDE mode will be required.
See USING OVERRIDE MODE.
OVERRIDE mode activated (30 seconds). • Proceed with a jump-start attempt.
• Use of OVERRIDE mode disables all safety features.
• Refer to USING OVERRIDE MODE for more information.
Over-current protection enabled. Vehicle drawing excessive current. • Wait 30 seconds for the jump starter to reset.
• If the error repeats, have the vehicle checked.
1. Jump starter battery too hot, or
2. Jump starter battery low charge, or
3. Poor connection between jump starter and smart clamp assembly.
• Allow jump starter to cool down.
• Charge the jump starter.
• Remove the smart clamp plug from the jump starter and fully reinsert.
Excessive cranking protection enabled. Exceeded 4 jump start attempts within 10 minutes. • Wait 10 minutes for the jump starter to reset.

USING OVERRIDE MODE:

This unit has an OVERRIDE feature that allows you to force ON the jump starter function, allowing you to boost discharged batteries as low as 0 volts.

CAUTION! USE THE OVERRIDE MODE WITH EXTREME CARE

  • This mode is for 12-volt lead-acid batteries only.
  • Both the spark-proof and reverse polarity protection features are disabled.
  • Pay very close attention to the polarity of the battery before using this mode.
  • DO NOT allow the positive and negative battery clamps to touch or connect to each other as the product will generate sparks.
  • This model uses a very high current (up to 600 Amps) that can cause sparks and high heat if not used properly.
  • If you are unsure about using this mode, do not attempt and seek professional help.
  1. ENSURE CORRECT POLARITY (red clamp to POS + terminal of the battery and black clamp to the NEG — terminal of the battery).
  2. Press the OVERRIDE button.
  3. OVERRIDE mode will be enabled for 30 seconds. Proceed with a jump-start attempt within 30 seconds.

Note: the OVERRIDE mode will only be active for 30 seconds. Once 30 seconds have passed, the unit will reset.

Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
The unit will not charge • No power from the USB port
• Faulty USB cable
• Power draw during recharge
• Plug into a different USB outlet
• Replace the USB cable
Disconnect all accessories plugged into the unit and make sure all of the unit functions are off
The engine is boosted will not start • Main power is OFF
• Vehicle battery too low
• Unit is not fully charged
• Bad clamp connection with the battery
• Vehicle battery is damaged
• Mechanical issue with the vehicle
• Battery in the unit is damaged
• Press 0 to turn unit ON (refer to JUMP STARTING instructions)
• OVERRIDE mode may need to be used (refer to JUMP STARTING instructions)
• Check if the unit has at least a 75% charge. Recharge if necessary
• Reconnect clamps and ensure proper contact and polarity has been established
• Replace vehicle battery
• Have the vehicle serviced
• Replace unit
USB Power port does not work • Main power is OFF
• Unit has an insufficient charge to power appliance
• Incompatible device
• Press (.5 to turn unit ON (refer to USB POWER instructions)
• Check unit battery charge level. Recharge if necessary
• Check if the device is compatible with this USB type/port
LED Flashlight does not work • Main power is OFF
• Unit has an insufficient charge to power appliance
• Press 0 to turn unit ON (refer to USB POWER instructions.
