INTENDED USE

The Mini Device is intended for facial and neck stimulation and is indicated for over-the-counter
cosmetic use.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Use the Mini Device only as described within this User Manual. The risks and dangers of using the Mini Device in any way that does not follow this User Manual might be unknown.
Your NuFACE Mini Device has a unique serial number located on the bottom of the device. Record your serial number and register your device online at www.MyNuFACE.com. A registration link can be found at the bottom of the webpage.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR USE

Do not use this device if you have a history of epilepsy or seizures.
Do not use if you have had recent surgery or other surgical procedures.
Do not use if you have an electronic implanted device such as a defibrillator, neurostimulator, pacemaker, or ECG Monitor. If you use a body-worn medical device, such as an insulin pump, consult your healthcare provider.
Do not use if you have any active cancer or over any suspicious or cancerous lesion.
Do not use if you are pregnant. The safety of electrical stimulation during pregnancy has not been established.
Do not use on infants and children under the age of 18.
Consult your healthcare provider if any of the contraindications above apply to you.

If you are under the care of a physician, consult your physician before using this device.
Discontinue using the device and consult your healthcare provider if you experience an adverse reaction from using the device.
Apply stimulation only to normal, intact, clean, healthy skin. Do not use over swollen, infected, or inflamed areas or skin eruptions, e.g., phlebitis, thrombophlebitis, broken capillaries, varicose veins, etc.
Consult your healthcare provider before use if you have any underlying skin conditions.
The product may not be safe for use on the neck in individuals with a known history of carotid artery disease, stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), carotid stenosis, unstable blood pressure, easy fainting, thyroid disease, or prior surgical procedures in the neck area.
Do not use in the eye area (circular muscle within the orbital rim), on the temples, the breast or groin area.
Do not apply stimulation across your chest as the introduction of electrical current into the chest may cause rhythmic disturbances to your heart, which could be lethal.
Do not use while driving, operating machinery or during any activity in which involuntary muscle contractions may put the user or the public at unnecessary risk of injury.
Never operate the device if it’s not functioning normally, or not operating properly due to
damage caused by dropping or accidental submersion in water.
Never drop or insert any object into any openings on the device.
Use of controls or adjustments, or the performance of procedures other than those specified herein, may result in injury.
Avoid applying excessive pressure when using the device on the anterior neck.
If you experience any discomfort or any difficulty breathing or swallowing occurring from application of the device to the neck, discontinue use.
If you do experience symptoms of hypotension (dizziness or lightheadedness) while using the device, discontinue use.
Keep all electrical appliances (including the Mini Device) away from water (including baths, showers, and sinks).
Care should be taken to minimize treatment directly over the midline of the neck, specifically avoiding the thyroid.
If the device begins to overheat, turn the device OFF immediately.
Do not apply stimulation over painful areas. If you have painful areas, you should consult with your healthcare provider before using this device.
Use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those specified, with the exception of
transducers and cables sold by the manufacturer of the Mini Device as replacement parts for internal components, may result in increased emissions or decreased immunity of the system.
Do not operate Mini Device in the presence of electronic monitoring equipment (e.g., heart
monitors, heart tracing or in close proximity (e.g. 1 m) to shortwave, microwave or electromagnetic therapy equipment as it may cause the medical equipment to malfunction. Such equipment may produce instability in Mini Device output and cause burns at the stimulation site.
Do not apply stimulation while bathing or showering.
Do not use this device when there is a tendency to bleed following acute injury or breaks in bones.
Do not apply stimulation over areas of skin that lack normal sensation.
Device should not be used at extreme temperatures.
Keep this device out of the reach of children and pets.
Discontinue using the device immediately if you suspect the device to be malfunctioning, or not operating properly. Return the device to NuFACE for examination.
Do not disassemble the device as this may cause damage, malfunction, electrical shock, fire or injury. There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Note: Disassembly voids the warranty.

PRECAUTIONS
The NuFACE Mini Device is designed for cosmetic use only and for individuals in good health.
If this is not the case for you, please consult your healthcare provider before use.

The long-term effects of transcutaneous electrical stimulators are unknown.
If you have suspected or diagnosed heart disease, you should follow precautions recommended by your healthcare provider.
Some users may experience skin irritation or hypersensitivity due to the electrical stimulation or Microcurrent Activator. Irritation can usually be reduced by using an alternate NuFACE Microcurrent Activator.
Skin irritation and burns beneath the electrodes have been reported with the use of other powered muscle stimulators. If you experience skin irritation or burning, discontinue use immediately.
If using the Mini Device causes persistent pain or discomfort, discontinue use immediately.
A slight tingling sensation may occur while using the Mini Device. If you feel the current, apply more NuFACE Microcurrent Activator. Lowering the intensity may reduce or eliminate this sensation.
There may be a perception of flashing lights during the use of your Mini Device, resulting from the stimulation of the eye area. If you notice this condition constantly without the use of your device, consult your healthcare provider.
Some users may experience a metallic taste in their mouth during the use of your device,
resulting from stimulation and varying sensitivity around the mouth. If you notice this condition constantly without the use of your device, consult your healthcare provider.
The battery of the device is not removable by the user. If the device is to be disposed of, do not put into a fire. Dispose of the device per local regulations.
Inspect the device and do not use the device if you see any signs of internal battery leaks.
The Mini Device is intended to be stored and used at room temperature. Do not store Mini Device in the sun or on a hot surface. High temperatures may be damaging. The device should be operated, transported and stored in the manner specified in this manual. Failure to use and maintain the device in accordance with the instructions outlined in this manual will void the warranty.
Only use the power adapter provided with the Mini Device.
The NuFACE Mini Device is intended for cosmetic use on the face as described. Any consequence resulting from misuse, application to other parts of the body or face, connection to improper voltage sources, dirty spheres, expired on non-NuFACE conductive alternative, or any other improper application is neither the responsibility of NuFACE nor its affiliates.

GETTING STARTED

Follow these important steps before using your new device.

Remove your Mini Device and power adapter from the box.
Connect the power adapter to the device and plug into the wall outlet, safely away from any
source of water, to charge your device. Note: The Mini Device will not turn on when it is charging.
Place your Mini Device on a counter or table top, away from any source of water.
Important: Charge your Mini Device for 12 hours before the first use. The lights will increasingly illuminate, indicating that your device is charging. All the lights will stay illuminated when device is fully charged.
Important: Test your skin to make sure you are not sensitive to the NuFACE Microcurrent
Activator. To do so, rub a dime-sized amount of Microcurrent Activator on your forearm and leave for 15-30 minutes before washing it off. If an allergic reaction (rash, redness, etc) develops, immediately contact NuFACE for recommendations on alternative NuFACE formulas. You should not initiate treatment with the Mini Device until your reaction to the Microcurrent Activator has been resolved.
Remember to take a before photo of your cleansed face in a well-lit room. After your first
treatment, take an after photo and repeat the process in the same well-lit room every 4 weeks to track your results.

NUFACE MICROCURRENT ACTIVATOR
The essential first step to your microcurrent treatment to ensure optimal results.

Important: Always apply Microcurrent Activator when using the Mini Device. Refer to packaging for use by date.

TREATMENT AREAS
The Mini Device is designed to stimulate large surface areas of the face and neck, such as the
jawline, cheekbones and forehead. Avoid applying the device to the midline of the neck. Follow
instructions below for best results, and refer to your Quick Start for more detailed images.

TREATMENT TECHNIQUE
Using light to medium pressure, lift one side of the face and neck at a time using a gliding motion.

Important: Always ensure that both spheres are in contact with the skin during treatment.

HOW TO USE YOUR MINI DEVICE

Get ready to Tone, Lift, and Contour.

The instructions below are designed to provide the most effective results when followed correctly.

Cleanse your face and neck with an oil-free cleanser. Men should shave before treatment — facial hair can interfere with the conductivity of the spheres. Note: Any cream, lotion, self tanner, and/or oil-based products on the skin can block the microcurrent.
Important: Apply a mask-like layer of the NuFACE Microcurrent Activator section by section as you treat. Note: Always apply a NuFACE Microcurrent Activator when using your Mini Device. Reapply if skin becomes dry during treatment to avoid any uncomfortable sensations.
Remove the power adapter from the device and turn it ON by pressing the ON/OFF button. An ascending audible beep is emitted notifying you that your device is ON.
Adjust the intensity level to your comfort by progressively pressing the ON/OFF button
to increase or decrease the microcurrent output. As you toggle between the 3 intensity levels, an audible beep is emitted and the number of illuminated blue lights will change.
Intensity Levels:
• Minimum Intensity: Left 2 Lights Illuminated
• Medium Intensity: Middle 3 Lights Illuminated
• Maximum Intensity: Right 2 Lights Illuminated
Place the Mini Device in direct contact with the treatment area. Always keep both spheres
in contact with the skin during treatment to keep microcurrent flowing. Using light to medium pressure, begin your treatment. Note: Facial skin sensitivity varies from person to person. It’s completely normal to not feel any sensation at all. If you do experience tingling, add more NuFACE Microcurrent Activator to the area you are treating. The Mini Device will NOT contract the muscles when used as instructed.
The device emits a dual-tone beep every five (5) seconds to indicate when to move to the next treatment area. The beep will change to two (2) low tones when the battery needs to be charged.
After treatment is complete, massage remaining NuFACE Microcurrent Activator into skin for additional skincare benefits.
The Mini Device will automatically turn off after approximately 5 minutes of use. A descending audible beep is emitted notifying you that your device is turning off.

TREATMENT FREQUENCY

Use 5 minutes a day.
For the first 60 days, use 5 days per week.
After 60 days, use 2-3 times per week for maintenance.
Allow 24 hours between treatments.

RESULTS
Results may vary based on skin type and skin condition.
Best results are achieved with regular use.

CARING FOR YOUR MINI DEVICE
Cleaning: Use a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth with water or rubbing alcohol to clean your
device after every treatment. Do not immerse device in water at any time.

Charging: Before first use, charge your Mini Device for 12 hours.
For continued optimal battery life, it is recommended to charge your Mini Device at least once a
week for 8 hours.

Battery Care: For ideal battery life, charge your Mini Device when the low battery indicator begins (low tone beep). If the battery power is drained completely, a full charge cycle of 12 hours is recommended before use. If the device is to be disposed of, do not put into a fire. Dispose of the device and its batteries per local regulations. Use caution prior to using the device if it has been stored or not used for an extended period of time. Inspect the device and do not use it if there are any signs of internal battery leaks.

Troubleshooting: If your Mini Device is not turning ON, please make sure the battery is fully
charged. If not, please charge your device for a full 12 hours. If your device is still not working,
if you need assistance, if you need to report unexpected events,or if you have any questions;

WARRANTY

For Devices Purchased in the US: NuFACE® warrants that the NuFACE® devices and attachments are free of manufacture defects in materials and workmanship for (1) year from the date of purchase for the NuFACE Mini Device. Abnormal wear and tear, submersions and drops are not covered by this warranty. This warranty is void if the product has been subject to accident, misuse, abuse, improper maintenance or repair, unauthorized modification, or any other use not found in the printed instructions. Must show receipt as Proof of Purchase.
