Electronic Rat Trap
Instructions
- Place a small amount of bait such as peanut butter on the back wall of the unit, away from the metal plates on the floor of the trap. Be sure to use a cotton swab, toothpick or another tool to bait so your scent is not transferred to the trap.
- Remove the battery cover. Insert 4 new “D” batteries. Replace the battery cover.
- Place the trap on a flat surface against a wall where you have seen signs of rodent activity.
The trap should be placed lengthwise with the entrance nearest to the wall.
- Turn the main switch ON. A green light will blink once to indicate that the batteries are good and the trap is working properly.
- When a rodent is caught, the red light will flash once every 7 seconds. Turn the unit OFF, remove the batteries and dispose of the rodent. Bait the trap, insert the batteries and turn the main switch ON. A rapid red flash indicates that the batteries no longer have enough power to kill a rodent. Replace with 4 new batteries. The old batteries may still be used for other products that take “D” batteries.
