FAQ’S

How long does it take Silonn ice maker to make ice?

About this item. FAST ICE MAKING: The Silonn ice maker only takes 6 minutes to make 9 bullet-shaped ice cubes. Fill 2L of water into the water tank, maximum ice capacity can reach 26 pounds in 24 hours. TWO SIZES OF ICE CUBES: You can make two different sizes of ice cubes.

Why is my portable ice maker not making ice?

Clean All Water Filters
If your ice machine has the right amount of water but it’s still not making ice, the water supply line could be blocked. This can happen over time if you haven’t cleaned the machine in a while especially if you have hard water, which can lead to mineral buildup.

How do you reset a portable ice maker?

Unplug the machine and wait 10 seconds. Plug the machine back in and press the ON button. You should see a blue light appear, letting you know that the machine has been reset.

How much ice can I make in one day?

The SLIM01G1 can make up to 26 lbs of ice per day.

How long does it take to make 26 lbs of ice?

It takes about 14-18 hours to make 26 lbs of ice.

Can I use an extension cord with this unit?

No, you cannot use an extension cord with this unit.

What would cause my ice maker to stop working?

A clog, leak, or damage in the water line may cause the ice maker to shut off automatically or otherwise stop working. Check the ice maker inlet valve and water supply tubing for any leaks, damage, or blockages.

Do portable ice makers use a lot of electricity?

Conclusion. Portable ice makers do not cost a lot of money to operate; in most cases, it’s less than $1 a day.

Do you add water to a portable ice maker?

Portable ice makers do not require a water line. Instead, you only need to pour water into the unit’s reservoir and turn it on in order to start the ice production process.

Why are my ice cubes wet?

To have the freshest ice possible, cubes are constantly melting in the ice bin as new cubes are being produced. This is normal. Cubes may be wet/watery because water drips from the cutter grid and into the ice bin during the ice harvest cycle. This is due to the process of cutting the ice slab into cubes.

How often should you clean your portable ice maker?

It is generally suggested to clean the portable ice maker every two to six months. However, units used regularly may need to be cleaned as much as once a month.

Do ice makers turn off automatically?

Most ice making units are designed to shut off automatically when the bucket is filled and it turns on again when it needs to produce more ice. If ice overflows and the unit does not temporarily shut off, make sure the bucket and any shelving parts are properly positioned.
