PAIR THE REMOTE WITH THE DRONE
Step 1: Turn on the drone, then place it on a flat surface with the head forward. LEDs on the arms of the drone flash slowly.
Step 2: Short press on the remote to turn on it and there is one beep from the remote. Wait until the LEDs on the arms of the drone stop flashing quickly, which indicates that the remote has been paired with the drone automatically.
Tips:
1. Compass Calibration
Press and hold the () button for 3s to start calibrating. After you hear a beep from the remote and the LEDs on the arms of the drone are off, the drone is preparing for the compass calibration.

Step 1: Hold the drone horizontally and rotate it until the LEDs on the front arms turn red, which indicates a successful horizontal calibration.
Step 2: Hold the drone vertically and rotate it until the LEDs on the rear arms turn green, which indicates a successful vertical calibration.

remote. Gyro Calibration is completed when the LEDs on the arms of the drone stop flashing quickly.
GPS SATELLITES SEARCHING
After finishing the compass calibration and gyro calibration, put the drone on a flat surface and go to Captain Nova App to check the GPS Signal (see the detailed information on page 23-25), then wait for minutes. When the GPS signal shows 3 bars or more and the LEDs on the head of the drone turn solid on, the drone has found enough GPS satellites and is ready for taking off.
The drone is set in GPS mode by default. In this mode, the drone can utilize the GPS module to locate itself and make a precise hovering flight. GPS Mode works only when there is a strong GPS signal (_?- 3 bars). Please fly the drone outdoors at your first try.
Note: We strongly recommend GPS Mode for beginners.

FLIGHT INSTRUCTIONS
Take-off Option 1: Move the Left Control Stick to the lower left in 45° and the Right Control Stick to lower right in 45° at the same time until four rotor blades start rotating, then short press the button to take off.
Option 2: Move the Left Control Stick to lower left in 45° and the Right Control Stick to the lower right in 45° at the same time until four rotor blades start rotating, then slowly push the Left Control Stick forward to take off.

Return-To-Home(RTH)
The Return-to-Home(RTH) function brings the drone back to the last recorded Home Point where the drone took off last time if the GPS signal shows 3 bars or more, and the compass is functioning normally. Otherwise, this function can not be performed.
Smart RTH.
Press on the remote to initiate
RTH Distance: The distance between the drone and the last recorded Home Point where the drone took off last time.
1. RTH Distance >30M
If the current flight altitude is lower than the preset RTH altitude, the drone will first ascend to the preset RTH altitude, then fly horizontally to above Home Point and descend to land.

If the current flight altitude is higher than the preset RTH altitude, the drone will directly fly back to above Home Point at its current flight altitude and land.
2. RTH Distance 530M The drone will directly fly to above Home Point at its current flight altitude and descend to land.

• Notes:
Failsafe RTH
Failsafe RTH will be automatically activated when the remote disconnects with the drone for more than 4s. The drone will fly back to the last recorded Home Point under the control of the flight syster itself. If the connection between the remote and drone is re-established, the pilot can regain control of the drone to cancel the RTH process. If no activity is performed by the pilot, the RTH process will continue

Low Battery RTH
Headless Mode
Short press the button to activate Headless Mode. In this mode, the drone will fly following the direction of the Right Control Stick regardless of the position of your drone’s head or the tail. The Headless Mode Indicator will flash quickly. Press the same button again to cancel this mode.

Speed Switch
The speed of the drone is set as LOW speed by default. Press the button once for HIGH speed and there are two beeps from the remote. Press the
button again to get back to low speed and there is one beep from the remote.
Attitude (ATTI)
Mode Option 1:
Short press the © button to activate ATTI Mode, and there is a long beep from the remote.
Option 2:
ATTI Mode is automatically on when there are not enough satellites connected to put the drone in GPS mode during the outdoor flight. In ATTI mode, the drone will maintain a specific flight altitude, but it will drift around in the wind.
Note: We recommend ATTI Mode only when the pilot has proficient skills in operating the drone.

Landing Option 1:
Short press the button to land the drone.
Option 2:
Slowly pull the Left Control Stick backward to land the drone.
Emergency Stop Press and hold Q for 4s, the drone will stop in the air and fall.

GPS Signal:
Check the signal of the GPS satellites. When it shows 3 bars, the GPS Mode of the drone is available.
Flip Image:
Tap to flip the image 180°.
Flight Records:
Check all kinds of flight records here.
Wifi Signal:
Check the Wifi signal strength of the drone to avoid losing control. When it shows low signal strength ( ), please fly the drone back immediately.
Drone Battery Status:
Check the battery status of the drone.
Remote Battery Status:
Check the battery status of the remote.

Tap () to start setting up your drone.

You can reset the Flight Distance, Flight Altitude and RTH Altitude as needed.
Beginner Mode:
It’s ON by default and all the flight parameters are preset. We recommend this mode for beginners.
Flight Distance:
Tap to reset the maximum flight distance between the drone and last recorded Home Point.
Flight Altitude: Tap to reset the maximum flight altitude of the drone.
RTH Altitude: Tap to reset the RTH altitude when returning home.
Note: RTH Altitude can’t be higher than the Flight Altitude.

to unlock the drone and four rotor blades start rotating.
Step 2:
Tap , then tap Yes on the pop-up window to take off.
Point of Interest (P01)
Tapto activates POI during the flight, enter the P01 Radius and tap OK to start. The drone will circle around the current point of drone while keeping that point centered in the frame.

Note: This function can’t be activated when the battery of drone is low (the Drone Battery Status shows 2 Yellow bars and the LEDs of the drone flash slowly).

Follow Me
Tap to enable Follow Me function, then tap Yes on the pop-up window to start. When Follow Me is enabled during flight, the drone’s camera lens will keep pointing at your mobile device and maintain a constant distance from it.
Tap again during the flight to cancel this mode and regain control of the drone.

Waypoints function allows you to define an exact flying route on a map during the flight.

Record Videos with the Preloaded Music
Step 1: Tap Click to select music, and the music provided will be displayed on the screen.
Step 2: Click the background music you prefer and confirm your choice, then tap OK on the pop-up window to start recording videos. Videos will be saved to the Media Gallery after you finish recording videos.
Step 3: Share your video with your friends from Media Gallery by tappingon the upper right corner of the selected video.

Tap to land the drone during the flight.
Smart RTH
Tap to activate Smart RTH during the flight and have the drone return to the last recorded Home Point. Tap YES on the pop-up

Pair the Remote with the Drone
Step 1:
Turn on the drone, then place it on a flat surface with the head forward. LEDs on the arms of the drone start to flash slowly.
Step 2:
Press the On/Off button on the remote to turn on it and there is a beep from the remote.
Tip: Press and hold the On/Off button to turn off the remote.
Step 3:
Push the Left Control Stick forward to the top, then pull it backward till the bottom. Pairing is successful when the LEDs of the drone turn to solid on from quick flashing.

Flight Calibration
Move both control sticks to lower left or right at 45°, then hold for 2s until you hear a long beep from the remote. Calibration completes when the LEDs of the drone turn to solid on from quick flashing.

Option 1: Press the ‘1) button to take off.
Option 2:
Push the Left Control Stick to lower left at 45° and the Right Control Stick to lower right at 45° at the same time until the four rotor blades start rotating, then slowly push the Left Control Stick forward to take off.

Photo/Video
Short press the (i) button to take a photo. There’s a beep from the remote and the rear LEDs of the drone flash once.
Press and hold the (i) button to start recording a video; there’s a beep from the remote and the rear LEDs of the drone keep flashing while recording the video. Press and hold it again to end and save the video.
Speed Switch
The drone is set to low speed by default. Press the C button once for Medium speed and there are two beeps from the remote. Press it again for High speed and there are three beeps from the remote.
Press it the third time to get back to Low speed and there is one beep from the remote.
Headless Mode
Short press the O button to activate Headless Mode. There are continuous beeps from the remote; the LEDs of the drone flash slowly. In this mode, the drone will fly following the direction of the Right Control Stick regardless of the position of your drone’s head or tail. Press the same button to exit this mode.
360° Flip
After flying the drone to a height over 2m, press the@button to activate 360° Flip function. Then move the Right Control Stick to flip the drone accordingly.
One Key Return
Press and hold the O button, then the drone will fly toward its back following a path paralleled to its original take-off path. Press and hold the O button again or push the Right Control Stick forward to cancel this mode.
Altitude Hold/Hover
This is one of the default settings on the drone. When you release the Left Control Stick after an ascending/descending action, the drone will hover at the current flight height. For a stable flight, press the trim buttons to adjust accordingly.
Landing
Option 1: Press the(!) button to land the drone.
Option 2: Slowly pull the Left Control Stick backward to land the drone until the propellers stop rotating.
Emergency Stop
Press the O button, then the drone will stop in the air and fall.
Note: It’s NOT recommended to use this function during normal flight for landing, which may result in serious damage for your drone.

Download and install Snaptain Era into your mobile device from App Store/Google Play or by scanning the QR code below.
Pair the App with the Drone
Step 1:
Power on the drone and the LEDs will flash.
Step 2:
Go to the Wifi settings of your mobile device and connect to the Wifi Snaptain-SSC-xxxxxx.
Step 3:
Open Snaptain Era App. Tap Function Display and ON/OFF to turn on the App. LEDs on the drone turn to solid on at a successful connection.
Step 4:
Tap Oto calibrate the drone.

Tap once to take one photo.
Video:
Tap once to start recording, tap again to end and save the video.

G-Sensor Mode:
Tap to activate this mode. The drone will fly following the inclines of your mobile device in its landscape orientation.
VR Mode:
VR device (not included) is required to activate VR Mode.
Calibration:
Tap 9 to calibrate the drone directly. If the LEDs of the drone flash quickly after a sudden impact, please first swipe down the Left Control Stick, then tap Oto calibrate the drone.
Voice Control:
Take off, land, forward, backward, to leftside, to rightside.
Gestures for Photo/Video:
Tap 4D to activate this function. Within a distance of2-3m between you and the camera, please face the camera and make a ‘i”J gesture with your right hand to take a photo, a gesture to start/end recording a video.
Wifi Signal:
Check the Wifi status of the drone to avoid losing control. When it drops to l of 4 bars (),please fly the drone back immediately.
Battery Status:
Check the battery status of the drone.
Trajectory Flight:
Tap$ to activate this mode. Draw a path in the blank area on the screen and the drone will fly following the path. Tape to modify flight distance and time accordingly. Tap$ again to exit from this mode.
Note:
Ql: Drone LEDs do not light up.
Q2. Drone LEDs keep flashing, but the drone never responds to any command from the remote.
Q3: The flight is not stable.
Q4: The response from the drone to the control is not sensitive.
Make sure the distance between the drone and the mobile device is effective.
Q5: Connection between the drone and the App is frequently lost.
Q6: The App doesn’t respond to voice commands.
Ensure the drone App has access to the audio function of your mobile device.
Q7: Some of the functions don’t work in the App.
Make sure the switch for the App is ON.
Q8: The drone will fly beyond the control range.
Activate the Headless Mode, then move the Right Control Stick to fly the drone back.
