Introduction

TP-Link’s Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite is a compact home device that turns your outlet into a controllable, customizable and multi-functional outlet, enabling
you to easily manage plugged-in electronics devices and set schedules via the Kasa mobile app, no matter where you find yourself.

  • Remote Control – Control devices connected to the smart plug wherever you are with the free Kasa app
  • Voice Control – Control your lights by voice commands through support from Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant
  • Works with Nest – Automatically control devices when Nest detects that you’re home and away
  • Scheduling – Program lights to turn on and off at set times throughout the day or night
  • Away Mode – Turn your devices on and off at different times to give the appearance that someone is home
  • Compact Design – Fit any standard outlet and leaves second outlet free

Appearance

Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite has an LED that changes color according to its status and a Power/Settings button to help you better configure your smart plug.

Set Up Your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite

Follow the steps below to set up your smart plug via Kasa for Mobile app

1. Download and install Kasa app

  1. Go to Google Play or the Apple App Store or scan the QR code below to download the Kasa app on your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet
    .
  2. Log in or sign up with TP-Link ID Open the app. Use your TP-Link ID to log in. If you don’t have a TP-Link ID, tap Create Account and the Kasa app will guide you through the rest
  3. Add device
    Tap the + button in the Kasa app and select Smart Plug Mini or Lite Series.

    Follow the steps below to set up your smart plug via Kasa for Mobile app

  4. Set up your smart plug Follow the Kasa app instructions to set up your smart plug and connect it to your home network.
  5. Complete and enjoy Your smart plug is all set up and saved in your device list. You can now enjoy using it.

.Main Device Controls

After you successfully set up your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite, you will see the home page of the Kasa app. Here you can view the status of all devices that
you’ve added to Kasa and manage them. Tap on a smart plug to check the current status and the total runtime.

Configure Your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite

On Device Status page, you can set Schedule, preset Away Mode, set Timer and change the settings of your smart plug.

Set Schedule
Tap  to set a schedule for your smart plug to simplify your daily routine by creating
automatic On/Off action.

Preset Away Mode
Tap to preset the Away Mode and your smart plug will be randomly turned on/off during this time.

Configure Your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite

On Device Status page, you can set Schedule, Away Mode, Timer and change the settings of your smart plug.

Tap to set the time to turn your smart plug on or off after specific times.

Device Settings
Tap to view and change the settings of your smart plug.

Create Scenes

A scene is a preset group of smart devices that can be programmed, customized and activated simultaneously at the touch of a button from your smartphone or tablet, allowing you to easily set your mood, activity or fit any special occasion. This page allows you to preset how your smart home
devices should act automatically at special occasions.

Discover Kasa

Use the Kasa app to pair your Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite with Amazon Alexa, Google Home Assistant and enjoy a full hands-free experience. Kasa helps manage the rest of your smart home too, working with Nest to trigger changes when you arrive home or leave for the day. Launch the Kasa app and go to Add Device > WORKS WITH KASA > Nest Home and Away / Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant for detailed instructions.
