IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

WHEN USING ELECTRICAL PRODUCTS, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.

THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED WITH A SAFETY MECHANISM TO REDUCE THE RISK OF EXPOSURE TO ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION. DO NOT DEFEAT ITS PURPOSE. USE THE DEVICE WITH THE ZIPPER COMPLETELY CLOSED.
DO NOT attempt to look directly at the UV LEDs while the unit is on. UV light can be irritating to the eyes and skin.
DO NOT attempt to modify this product. It has been designed to contain UV exposure.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION – PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING.

DO NOT expose the device to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 265°F may cause explosion.
Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the device outside of the temperature range specified. Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. Product operating and charging range: 32°F – 104°F/0°C – 40°C.

UNIQUE FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS

UV-C TECHNOLOGY
Ultraviolet (UV) light is a short wavelength light invisible to the human eye. It kills up to 99.9% of germs and bacteria. There are cold-, heat-, and drug-resistant germs. There are no common UV-C-resistant germs.

REVOLUTIONARY LED TECHNOLOGY
Environmentally friendly, and is mercury and chemical-free.

RECHARGEABLE
This battery-powered sanitizer can run up to 70 sanitizing cycles (or up to 2 weeks’ worth of use) per charge, all while you’re on the go!

PROPRIETARY POP UP
Through research, simulations, and third-party lab testing, we’ve derived the maximum sanitization efficacy between light dispersion angle and UV-C intensity. Our patented pop-up mechanism ensures optimal ultraviolet light exposure across your device. So popping up your case provides maximum efficacy.
FITS MOST PHONES
Designed and built to accommodate phones, including most larger models, like the iPhone 8+ and Google Pixel 3.
ULTRA-FAST SANITIZATION
Cleans in just 30 seconds per side.
SAFE
Safety lock ensures device can only be used when it is fully zipped and the zipper pull is positioned magnetically in the on position.
ANTIBACTERIAL COATING
To prevent spread of germs from 1 side of device to the other.

CHARGING YOUR POP-UP PHONE SANITIZER

Charging takes 2-3 hours for full charge.

To charge your case, use the included charging cable. Plug the small end (micro USB) into the case charging port, beneath the protective cover. Plug the USB end into a computer or USB wall charger.
The power icon of the case will show flashing green when charging.
When the case is fully charged, the LED will turn solid green.

LED INDICATORS

• Solid red	• At the end of the sanitizing cycle, solid red for 3 seconds and then off: 20%-30% battery left and can sanitize phone • Solid red for 3 seconds when the power button is pressed: <20% battery left and cannot sanitize phone
• Flashing red for 3 seconds	• Case not zipped closed properly
• Solid green	• Fully charged
• Flashing blue	• In sanitizing mode
• Flashing green	• Charging

HOW TO USE

Unzip the case (Fig. 1).
Place your device on the flat surface, opposite the LEDs (Fig. 1).
Zip the case closed (Fig. 2).
Make sure the zipper is completely closed, and the zipper pull is positioned magnetically in the on position (Fig. 2).
Pull up the pop-up mechanism using the finger tabs (Fig. 3).
Push the power button to turn on the sanitizing cycle (Fig. 4).
NOTE: If the case pops closed when pushing the power button, then pop it back up. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating sanitizing is in progress
(Fig. 4).
When the blue light turns off, the cleaning cycle is complete. Unzip and remove device from the case.
Flip and repeat to sanitize both sides.
NOTE: The case will not work if it is not completely closed and the zipper pull situated magnetically in the on position.

TROUBLESHOOTING

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE CASE IS WORKING?
The power icon will flash blue indicating the UV-C LEDs are on and sanitizing.
LED INDICATOR KEEPS FLASHING RED. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Flashing red means the case is not properly closed. Please make sure to completely zip the case, and ensure the zipper pull is situated magnetically in the on position.
IS THIS SAFE FOR MY PHONE?
Yes, UV-Clean uses UV-C light, not water or chemicals. UV-C light kills germs and is completely safe for your phone. Safety features ensure no UV-C light can
escape and anything placed inside the case is not harmed.
CAN IT CLEAN ANYTHING ELSE?
UV-Clean was designed primarily for phones, however, you can use it to sanitize just about anything. If it’s inside, UV-Clean will sanitize it. For more information about how UV-C works, please visit www.homedics.com.

WILL IT CLEAN IF IT’S NOT POPPED UP?
Yes, the case will still work and the UV-C LEDs will still turn on if the case is properly closed. However, if it is not popped up, then the coverage area of the UV-C light is greatly reduced.
CAN I RUN MULTIPLE CONSECUTIVE CLEANING CYCLES?
Yes, you can! Though the first cycle will have cleaned your device up to 99.9%, there is no harm to your device to run another cycle if you wish.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Clean surface with soft, damp cloth.
DO NOT use harsh chemicals.

WARNING: This product has an internal, nonreplaceable lithium battery. Please dispose in accordance with your local, state, province, and country guidelines. Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire, or the like.

WEE EXPLANATION
This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They will accept this product for environmentally safe recycling.

BATTERY DIRECTIVE
This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of in domestic waste as they contain substances that can be damaging to the environment and our health. Please dispose of batteries in designated collection points.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
NOTE: HoMedics is not responsible for any radio or TV interference caused by unauthorized modifications to this equipment. Such modifications could void the user authority to operate the equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules and CAN ICES-3 (B)/NMB-3 (B). These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. 1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

HoMedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. HoMedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.
To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, contact a Consumer Relations representative for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

HoMedics does not authorize anyone, including but not limited to Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer, or remote purchasers, to obligate HoMedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from a failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved, and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.
THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS THAT ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged, and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on internet auction sites and/ or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof that are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of HoMedics.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights that may vary from country to country. Because of individual country regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
