The Arris / Surfboard SBG6400 is a DOCSIS 3.0 device offering 8×4 channel bonding and single band WiFi connectivity.
After the modem is successfully connected to the network, the Power, Receive, Send, and Online indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the modem is online and fully operational. |

The following ports are available on the back of the modem.
- ETHERNET – Provides internet access to a single device. Only one port is active at a time. When a connected device is online, you will see one of the following lights.
- Amber
- LED is ON – Indicates 10/100 Base-T connection.
- LED is OFF – Indicates GigE connection.
- Green
- LED is ON – Indicates a device connection is detected.
- LED is Blinking – Indicates data traffic is in progress
- USB – USB 2.0 port connection to your computer or other USB device.
- Reset – Can be used to reboot the gateway or reset the gateway settings. (login/Reset instructions)
- CABLE – Connects to the cable wall outlet.
- Power – Connects the cable modem to the power adapter.

MAC Address

MAC addresses are written as 12 digits containing both letters and numbers (0-9, A-F).
- A MAC address is unique.
- The first six characters of the MAC address are unique to the manufacturer of the device.
- This information is usually found on a sticker located on the bottom of the modem.

Troubleshooting
The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.
