Bluetooth Usage

Making phone calls

Be sure the earphone connected with your mobile phone, and then you can make phone calls. When making calls, there is only one side earphone working, and there s incoming call, it would broadcast calling numbers. You answer the call by slightly press the power button one time and refuse to answer by quick press the power button 2 times. When the earphones are in music mode, you dial your latest number by quick press the power button 2 times(redial the latest number).

Listening to music

Be sure the earphone connected with your mobile phone, then you can listen to music on your music list. Shortly press the power button to stop the music and replay by press again.

Power off

Long press the power button until led in red when not use, the Bluetooth device enter off mode. It would be power off automatically when the earphone away from your Bluetooth device over 5 minutes. No need to worry power exhausted.

Charging

There is reminding sound when battery is low, and the led would flash in red at the same time. When taking charge, the led would be in red, and turns in blue when fully charged. Note:the earphone would be forced to shut down when charging even if they are power ON before charging.

Switch language modes

X9 Bluetooth Headphone Manual

Please read this manual before operating your headset, and keep it for future reference.

Switching On and Off

To switch the X9 on or off, hold down the MFB for about 4 seconds until you hear “power
on/power off” indicating that the X9 is starting up/shutting down.

Pairing

1. To use the X9, you need to pair it with your phone. Pairing creates a stored link between the phone and the headphone. Once paired, they will reconnect automatically in future.
2. The instructions below provide some additional information about the pairing procedure, in case you encounter problems pairing your phone with the X9.

Procedure:

1. With the X9 switched on, bring the mobile phone to X9. The X9 is in pairing mode until you see the blue/red LED is blinking alternately.
2. Find the Bluetooth menu in your mobile phone, and turn Bluetooth on.
3. Use your phone’s Bluetooth menu to search for Bluetooth devices. This may take a few minutes, depending on your phone model.
4. When your phone finishes searching, it will display a list of devices it has found. Select the TOTU X9 from the list.
5. If your phone prompts you for a password or security code, enter “0000” (four zeros).
6. Depending on your phone model, it may now connect to the TOTU X9 automatically when blue LED is blinking.
7. If this does not happen, use your phone’s Bluetooth menu options to connect to the X9.

You are now ready to start using the X9.

Multi‐pairing

1. With the Multi‐point feature activated, your X9 can be connected to 2 Bluetooth phones at the same time.
2. If a mobile device is connected to the X9 and you go into pair mode to pair another device, then the first device will be disconnected from the X9.
3. If you want to have both phones connected, then you will need to reconnect to the first phone when you finish pairing the second phone. In most cases the phone will reconnect to the X9 automatically when you finish pairing, but if this does not happen you should be able to manually reconnect the phone from your phone’s Bluetooth menu.

Procedure:

1. Press and hold MFB for 4 seconds to pair your first device. Turn off the X9.
2. Press and hold MFB for 4 seconds again to pair your second device. Turn off the X9 again.
3. Press and hold MFB for 4 seconds to pair two devices. Two devices will connect the headphones automatically

Charging

1. Use the supplied USB cable to charge the X9 whenever the battery is low.
2. When the X9 battery is low, It beeps and the indicator light flashes red. If the X9 powers off during a call, the call will be automatically transferred to the phone.
3. If the battery level drops to very low, then the X9 will automatically switch itself off.
4. The battery life on the X9 will vary depending on the phone you are using: some phones draw significantly more power than others. In particular, using the X9 with a VoIP application such as Skype will drain the battery more quickly.
5. Make sure the X9 is fully charged before using it for the first time.
6. Repeatedly charging and discharging of the headset, over time will cause the battery performance to diminish. This is normal for all rechargeable batteries.

Procedure:

1. Plug the supplied USB cable into a spare USB socket on your computer or attach it to your AC adapter.
2. Then plug the other end of the USB cable into your headphones.
3. During charging, the indicator light will turn red. If charging does not begin, unplug the travel adapter and plug it in again.
4. When the headset is fully charged, the red indicator light changes to blue. Disconnect the AC adapter and USB cable.

Pairing

1. To pair the earbuds to your device for the First time open the case and remove both earbuds.
   
2. The buds will start to flash red and white, this means that they are ready to pair.
   
3. Use the Bluetooth settings on your device to pair with HEYDAY EARBUD
   05. Tap “pair” when prompted to pair with HEYDAY EARBUD 05. You
   may be prompted again if pairing for the first time tap “pair” when prompted. When the earbuds have successfully paired they will turn white five seconds and then fade.
   
4. To reset the earbuds to factory settings, place them both into the case and with the lid open and hold the reset button on the back of the case for 6 seconds.

1. The earbuds come with small, medium and large earbud tips and can be changed at any time.
   
2. To change the size of the earbud tip, squeeze it and pull it away from the earbud.
   
3. Select the size that is the most comfortable for you and push it onto the earbud. The earbud tip has an interior sleeve that slides onto the earbud. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the second earbud.
   

Charging earbuds

• Place both earbuds back into the case.
• Charging is complete when lights turns off.
• Full charge requires approximately 1 hour.

Charging case

• Plug USB-C end of charger into the back of the case
• Plug USB end into a power supply of at least DC 5V 1A warning: please use UL compliant power supply
• Full charge requires approximately 2 hours and will provide 24 hours of earbud use.

Troubleshooting

• If the earbuds are not working correctly place them into the case with the lid open and reset them
• If the earbuds won’t turn on, recharge the battery and try again
• If the earbuds won’t charge, make sure the power supply works, is 5V>1A, not damaged and that the case is charged
• If the earbuds make no sound or do not show as an available device, make sure they are not paired, if so unpair the device and repair to the desired device

Trouble Shooting and Common Situations

Earphone/Headphone cannot power on
Battery drain, please charge the device for 30 minutes, and then powering on.

Smart phone cannot search Bluetooth Earphone /Headphone

1. Make sure the Earphone/Headphone is in pairing mode ( red and blue LED flashingal ternately)
2. Delete pairing list in smart phone and searching Earphone/Headphone again.
3. If it still cannot be found, please restart smart phone and Earphone/Headphone again.

Earphone/Headphone will be disconnected from time to time

1. The battery drain.
2. The Earphone/Headphone is beyond the communication range(10m)

No sound on talking mode

1. Confirmed the Earphone/Headphone connected to earpiece mode on talking.
2. Try to volume up Earphones/Headphone or smart phone.

No sound with music playing

Safety Instruction

1. Please remove the films on the earphones before charging them. It takes about 1.5 hours to fully charge.
2. If you do not use the earphones for a long time, please charge the twins earphones and the charging box at least once every 3 months.
3. About connected Bluetooth device, the earphones will automatically connect it the next time.
4.  Keep the earphones and the packaging out of reach of children.
5. If the earphones come in contact with liquids, quickly wipe away. If submerged in the water, do not turn the earphones on until it is completely dried.
6. The earphones are sweat-proof and rain-proof. However, do not use it underwater (e.g. swimming). Warranty void if the earphones submerged in the water.
7. Do not use earphones in thunderstorm weather, the earphones may not work properly in the bad weather condition, and may increase the risk of being hit by lightning.
8. Earphones may not work properly under high temperature or high humidity condition.
9. Do not use while driving, cycling, operating machinery or performing other activities that require hearing surrounding sounds.
10. Using earphones at high to moderate volumes for extended periods of time will result in permanent hearing damage. It is advised that you keep volume levels moderate to low at all times for your safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. The left and right earphones cannot pair or connect to Bluetooth?
   Method 1: Put the two earphones in charging case and take them out in about 1 second. They will pair automatically in about 5 seconds. Then reconnect Bluetooth device.
   Method 2: Take out the two earphones and turn them off by a 3-second long press. Reset them by a 10-sencond long press. Turn them on by a 2-second long press. Then reconnect Bluetooth device.
2. While playing music, only one earbud works, another doesn’t work?
   Put the earphones in charging case to check whether the silent earbud is in low power. If it is in low power, please fully charge it.
   If it is in enough power, please re-pair them by following steps mentioned in question 1.
3. How to reconnect Bluetooth if disconnected?
   a. Put the earbuds in charging case and take them out in 2 seconds
   b. Delete “ ” from the Bluetooth list, and turn off Bluetooth.
   c. Turn on Bluetooth and select “ ES02 ES02 ” from the Bluetooth list, and re-connect.
4. The earphones battery life is not last-long as expected?
   Fully charge the earphones at the first 2 times of charging.
   The built-in battery can be effectively used to have the expected battery life.
5. The earphones won’t charge?
   Check whether the earphones are well put in the charging case and whether there is any foreign object on the charging pin.
6. There are some unexpected pauses while calling and playing music?
   a. The earbuds are in low power, please charge them in time.
   b. There is an obstacle between earbuds and Bluetooth device.
   c. Out of Bluetooth range.

PAIRING

open charging box and take out both two earphones, The earphones will turn on automatically and enter pairing mode after 5s. You will hear voice prompt “beep” on L/R earphones same time after paired successfully.

Turn your bluetooth device on and search” K6″ to connect, you will hear voice prompt “connected”. Then you can start your wonderful music journey!

Common problem analysis

Whether Pairing successed:
Pairing failed, you will find two K6 pairing name in your device, you need to put the two  earphones in the charging box again, close the charging box flip cover, then open the charging flip cover again wait for 5s, you will find only one K6 pairing name in your device now, Re-connect your device is ok

Confirm if both earphone are working:

If only one earphone can hear the sound, Confirm if both please check whether both earphone are power earphone are on normally . It possible that another earphone
turn on or power off status. Please recharge the earphone under lower battery then turn in on is ok. You could pick  up the earphone from charging box power on automatically or long touch switch until earphone power on.

Confirm the charging box whether have power:

when the charging box under few battery or charging box no battery situation, it can’t recognize the earphone after you put the earphone into charging box, it caused the earphone still working.

Check the earphone charging point whether covered by other things:
