Introduction

The HyperX Cloud Alpha S is a follow-up to the acclaimed Cloud Alpha, including custom-tuned HyperX virtual 7.1 surround sound. Without having to go into any menus, you can activate surround sound and modify the game audio and conversation balance with the inbuilt audio control mixer. The ear cups now contain bass adjustment sliders so you can customize your audio. The Cloud Alpha S retains the dual-chamber driver design, which lowers distortion and produces cleaner sound, as well as the characteristic HyperX comfort provided by memory foam ear cushions enhanced with additional breathable leatherette.

The HyperX Cloud Alpha was and continues to be one of the best gaming headphones ever. No headset can equal it in terms of sound quality, comfort, or build quality for the price, but it does have a few flaws, including a mediocre microphone and a lack of other functionality. Is it worthwhile to invest in HyperX cloud Alphas?

The HyperX Cloud Alpha is one of the most platonically perfect gaming headsets in recent memory since it provides a solid blend of great durability, good sound quality, and extreme affordability.

How does the HyperX Cloud Alpha S feel to use?

It’s clear where the HyperX Cloud Alpha S comes from right away: it’s undeniably a Cloud Alpha. Everything about the headset, from the form to the materials, is either nearly similar or plainly inspired by the headset we all know and love. This game headset has the same metal headband and hinges as its predecessor, as well as thick plastic headphones. The ear cushions are constructed of the same soft foam and leatherette that we previously enjoyed. For gamers with glasses, velour ear pads would have been a better choice, but the extra fabric ear cushions should still provide a good seal—at least they’re softer than leatherette. Overall, it’s a robust and comfy chair.  as the original Cloud Alpha headset There are, however, some new items.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Should i get these or the cloud 2?
Get the Alpha S for PC, and if you are playing on PS4 get the Alpha S as it comes with 7.1 surround sound via USB. If you’re playing on Xbox One then honestly the Alpha S or the Cloud 2 are amazing (but purchase a turtle beach Ear Force audio controller that fits on your controller so you will no longer worry about having to buy an amp for Xbox as you can use them for any headset and they will sound great. AND gives you the power to mute your mic, turn superhuman hearing on or off, bass boost on or off, and volume up or down on in game sounds as well as party chat volume (for when you have that one annoying friend breathing in his mic or sneezes and forgets to mute it and you go deaf, or for the squeaker that won’t stop singing his bad taste in music. You’ll thank me later, so will your eardrums)
  • Are the black ones and purple ones exactly the same?
Purple, black, pink, rainbow – no matter the color, It’s still the same product. It looks like a nice product to settle with sure, but if I were you – I’d go for a different headset for your investment. It’s been 10 days and I haven’t been refunded. </3
  • Is it good?
The sound is good and it is comfortable.
  • Can I return the headphones every 1 complains they hear it?
Not sure what you’re asking but you can contact Kingston if your headset is under 2 years old they will replace them.
  • Noise cancellation?
When I am wearing it, I can’t hear any ambient noise.
  • I have a b450 gaming plus mobo where do I connect the jacks on the mobo?
This is a USB device. If you don’t use it via USB you’ll need a headphone splitter cable.
  • How do you get the mic to work on a Nintendo Switch while playing Fortnite?
You can’t use the amp, but I would imagine you can just plug it into the headphone jack and it should work.
  • Does it work on ps4 with xim apex?
I would assume so. With the right adapter.
  • Volume is louder in one than in the other. I have to meticulously adjust the volume until it’s even in both ears. Are these headphones under warranty?.
I think all headphones are under warranty. I would suggest contacting the seller.
  • The Blue model is listed with 7.1 surround while the Red model says stereo. What’s the real difference?
The S model is the newer model of the 2. While it does have 7.1 surround sound, the Hyper X Cloud Alpha (original model) paired with DTS sounds incredible and is basically 7.1 in regards to quality. If it’s slighter and more expensive, I’d go with the S model though, just to ensure you are happy with your purchase. If you read reviews, most reviews state that people enjoy the sound quality of the original model more, even though the “S” model has 7.1 surround sound. I’d do a little research on reviews before purchasing, but for what I paid for the original model ($30 preowned – Like new) I don’t regret it one bit. I use Warzone on Boost High and basically everything I could ask for in regards to locating where sound is coming from and distinguishing highs from lows.
