Notes:

  1. The drain must be at or below the level of the water outlet of the appliance.
  2. The “water tank full” indicator does not flash when water is continuously draining.
  3. If you want to extend the drain hose, you can connect it to another hose (outer diameter OD: 18 mm).

FIXING THE WINDOW SEAL

Fixing the sealing frame for sliding windows
The sliding window sealing frame is designed to fit most standard vertical and horizontal windows. However, you may need to change some aspects of the installation for certain types of windows. The sealing frame can be fixed with screws.

Adjusting the sealing frame for sliding windows

Slide frame (B) into frame (A) and adjust the size of the frame to the width of your window. Lock the locking screw (C) in the holes corresponding to the measured width to ensure that there are no gaps or air pockets between the window and sealing frame after installation.

Fixing the seal for side-opening windows and roof windows
The installation of the window seal is simple. You can attach the seal to a tilted window, a side-opened window or a roof window. We have chosen a side-opened window for demonstration purposes. It is particularly suitable because the exhaust hose can be attached to the side far down. The Velcro tape is attached to the three open sides. The side where the window is against the frame is left out. Clean and dry the window frame beforehand so that the tape adheres.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Always disconnect the air conditioner from the power supply before cleaning.
  • To increase the efficiency of the air conditioner, it should be cleaned regularly.

Cleaning the housing

  • Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the housing.
  • Never use aggressive chemicals, petrol, cleaning agents, chemically treated cloths or other cleaning solutions. These can damage the housing.

Cleaning the filter
Use a hoover or tap the filter lightly to remove loose dust and dirt from the filter, then rinse it thoroughly under running water (not hotter than 40 °C). Allow the filter to dry thoroughly before reinserting it.

Note: Never operate the unit without the filter.

Storage at the end of the season

  • Empty the water tank before running the unit in fan-only mode for a few hours to thoroughly dry the inside of the unit.
  • Clean or change the filter.
  • Unplug the power cord and stow it away.
  • Place the unit in the original box or lid for storage.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause / solution
The air conditioner does not start operation. Is the air conditioner connected to the mains?
Is there a power failure?
Is the “compressor”/”water tank full” indicator

flashing?

Is the room temperature below the set temperature?
The appliance is not cooling properly. Is there direct sunlight?

Draw any curtains that may be present.

Are too many windows or doors open?
Are there too many people in the room?
Is something in the room generating too much heat?
The device does not

seem to have any effect.

Is the filter dusty or dirty?
Is the air inlet or outlet blocked?
Is the room temperature below the temperature you have set?
The device is very loud. Is the unit set up unevenly so that vibrations occur?
Is the floor under the unit uneven?
The compressor is not running. It is possible that the overheating protection of the compressor is activated. Just wait until the temperature has dropped.

Note: Never attempt to repair or disassemble the unit yourself.

  5.  Press the coffee switch downwards and the machine starts to brew coffee. To stop dispensing coffee, move the switch to the off position.

Frothing milk
When the coffee is brewed, you can start frothing the milk.

  1.  Press the steam switch downwards, the blue light indicator starts to flash.
  2.  As soon as the machine has heated up, the blue indicator light stops flashing.
  3.  Fill a cup or mug with milk. We recommend using whole milk at room temperature for better results.
  4.  Insert the steam pipe into the cup or container at a depth of 1-2 cm. When frothing milk, move the cup or container up and down. Slowly turn the steam regulator counter-clockwise to allow steam to escape. The steam pipe can release a few water droplets before steam is generated.
  5.  Once the required amount of milk foam has been produced, turn the steam control knob clockwise and set the steam switch to the off position.

Boiling water

  1.  Turn on the machine by setting the power switch to ON. The red indicator light starts to blink and the unit starts to heat up.
  2.  As soon as the heating phase is complete, the red light is constantly lit.
  3.  Press the coffee switch downwards and the machine starts dispensing water. To stop the water output, move the switch to the off position.
  4.  Wait until the machine has heated up again and repeat these steps to dispense hot water.

After use
After steam/water dispensing or coffee brewing, the temperature of all machine components rises because the machine has been working under high pressure. If the machine overheats, the two light indicators will start to fl ash rapidly, indicating that the temperature of the machine needs to be lowered.

  • Turn the steam control knob anti-clockwise and press the coffee switch to the on position. Water is released through the steam pipe.
  • When the red light stops flashing, set the coffee switch to the off position and turn the steam control knob clockwise.
  • The machine is now ready to brew coffee again.

CLEANING AND CARE

To ensure a pure taste, carry out cleaning after each use. Descaling and maintenance should be carried out every 2-3 months.
Cleaning the coffee sieve and sieve holder

  • Remove the sieve holder and remove the coffee sieve. Tap the sieve holder lightly against the sieve to remove the coffee grounds.
  • Then clean the sieve holder and the coffee sieve with clean water and dry them before putting them back together.

Water outlet, steam pipe and steam attachment
After milk frothing, turn the steam control knob completely open so that the steam outlet releases steam for a few seconds and cleans the steam pipe and steam attachment. Allow the steam pipe and steam attachment to cool down after milk frothing. Then clean the steam tube and steam attachment immediately with a damp cloth. This prevents milk residues from accumulating.

Removable parts and housing
Clean the water tank, the surface of the appliance, the drip tray and the drip tray cover with a damp cloth.

Descaling
Descale the machine every two months using a standard descaler or a vinegar-water solution in a ratio of 1:4. Fill the water tank with the mixture and run the mixture through the machine once. Then fill the tank with fresh, clean water up to the MAX mark and let the water run through again.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which powder is right for the espresso machine?
The right powder can be identified by the shape of the powder after it has been compressed in the sieve:

  • If the powder is mushy, it is too fine.
  • If the powder crumbles, it is too coarse.
  • If the powder holds firmly together, it is suitable.

What is the right amount of powder?

  • If you are preparing 1 espresso, put a spoon (about 8 g) of espresso powder in the small sieve.
  • If you are preparing 2 espressos, put two spoons (about 16 g) of espresso powder in the large sieve.

What is the function of the small hook on the screen holder?
The hook prevents the sieve from falling out of the sieve holder when the powder is emptied.

What is the function of the steam cap on the steam tube?
It ensures that the milk is swirled by the steam. This makes the milk foam firmer and finer.

Why can‘t the milk be frothed?

  • Make sure that the milk used is cold.
  • Do not froth the milk for too long. If it gets too hot, no milk foam can form.

What can you do if the bubbles in the milk foam are unevenly large?
Knock on the milk cup to remove large bubbles. Then shake the milk cup horizontally to completely mix the milk and milk foam.

Which milk is suitable for frothing?
Low-fat milk is easy to foam, but the bubbles and foam are slightly larger and looser. Whole milk is more difficult to foam, but the milk foam becomes thick and tough.

What to do if no steam comes out of the steam attachment?

  • This is usually because the steam pipe and the steam cap have not been cleaned after milk frothing and milk residues block the steam pipe.
  • Try cleaning the pipe with a small cleaning brush.
  • If this does not help, add vinegar and water to the water tank at a ratio of 1:1. Then start the steam function to clean the hose. Then top up with fresh water and restart the steam function.
  • If the problem persists, contact your service representative.

Beer keg sealant
All 5 Liter beer keg with the below various appearance sealants can apply to the beer cooler, however, you should follow the information as below.
The sealants with code No. 20 and 21 can be pierced simply by the cooler piercing pin.

The sealants with code No. 22 need to be removed off the marking ring from the sealant and pierce the keg by cooler piercing pin.

The difference between code No 23 and 24 is the safety clasp quantity. Pull up the safety clasp carefully, turn around and take it out from the keg; replaced it by the sealant (like code No 20 sealant) provided in the beer cooler, attach it to the beer keg, and pierce it by cooler piercing pin.

Note: Important: Before replacing the sealants or piercing the cooler kit, you must always follow the instructions marked on the keg to eliminate the excess gas and ensure that the keg has rested long enough to avoid foam coming out through the cooler piercing pin /tap faucet. And it is no need to release the gas and replace the seal rubber if you use Heineken keg, because Heineken keg has its own CO₂ pressure inside, and no need to be provided from outer CO₂ pressure system.

Universal 5 L beer keg

The unit has a memory function that uses the last selected temperature value when you turn on the cooler. By default, the display shows the current temperature of the  beer. Press and hold the „+“ key to display the set temperature. The set temperature is displayed for 3 seconds, then the current temperature is displayed again.

    9. Adjust the CO₂ pressure regulator knob to “+” position, to pour the beer out by pulling down the tap mechanism, and you can adjust the pressure regulator knob to control the beer flow rate and beer bubble. Note: Clean the glass before pouring beer out; if the beer or beer cup/glass is in high temperature or the beer is not cool enough, there are many bubbles when pouring beer out.
    10. When taping the beer, lean your beer glass against the pouring spout and slowly straighten it up with the beer rising, then open the tap mechanism completely to avoid much bubble; It is advisable to pour half-glass, make a short pause before continuing the rest. Notes: Never immerse the pouring spout into the beer glass to avoid much bubble; Remember to lock the tap after finishing pouring.
    11. It is normal to have more bubbles when pouring the first 3 cup of beer.
    12. There will be a sharp and high-speed jet when pouring the last cup of beer from keg.

Heineken Keg
Heineken kegs are pre-charged with CO₂, and do not require the use of regulator, no need to install the CO₂ cartridge. And the knob on the top cover does not work.

The Heineken connector that comes with your beer cooler can work with all Heineken 5 L kegs. However you must use a flat head screwdriver to remove the green base from
the keg in order to install the new connector, provided with the beer cooler.
When install the new connector to the Heineken keg, you must firstly install the clear beer tube one end to the connector, one end to the tap mechanism, then install the connector to the Heineken keg.
