MOISTURE AND HUMIDITY

The active loudspeaker should be located in a place free from moisture and water.
Do not use this apparatus near water. Do not expose it to rain or dripping water. Do not splash water on it.

INSTALLATION

Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
No naked flame sources, such as lit candles, should be placed on the active loudspeaker.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

CONNECTION

Connect the active loudspeaker according to the instructions in the manual.
Connect the active loudspeaker only to the correct mains voltage as shown on the equipment.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit the apparatus.
Use only power cables of the type specified in the operating instructions or as marked on the active loudspeaker. Do not substitute the separate power cable included with this active loudspeaker with any other power supply – use only the power cable provided by the manufacturer.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provided for your safety.
If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
Do not install in an area that impedes access to the power plug. Disconnecting the power plug is the only way to completely remove power to the product and the plug must be readily accessible at all times.

PLUGGING IN THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH

IMPORTANT: BEFORE PROCEEDING TO POINT 001 BELOW, CHECK THE INCLUDED POWER CORD AND PLUG AND YOUR STANMORE BLUETOOTH ACTIVE STEREO LOUDSPEAKER ARE COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR MAINS ELECTRICITY SUPPLY AND ASSOCIATED WALL SOCKET.

INSERT THE POWER CORD INTO THE POWER JACK ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKER.
CONNECT THE POWER PLUG TO THE WALL SOCKET.
SWITCH THE ON/OFF SWITCH TO ‘ON’ TO TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
THE RED BLUETOOTH INDICATOR STARTS FLASHING AS THE SPEAKER SEARCHES FOR A BLUETOOTH DEVICE.
TO TURN THE SPEAKER OFF, SWITCH THE ON/OFF SWITCH TO OFF.
ALL INDICATORS WILL TURN OFF.

THERE ARE LOADS OF WAYS TO CONNECT TO YOUR SPEAKER, WHETHER VIA YOUR PHONE, TURNTABLES, TV OR WIRELESSLY VIA WIRELESS BLUETOOTH®, FEATURING APTX® TECHNOLOGY. BELOW YOU WILL FIND MORE DETAILS ABOUT THE CONNECTION SOURCES:

CONNECTING VIA BLUETOOTH (PAIRING)

FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO PAIR THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH WIRELESSLY TO YOUR BLUETOOTH DEVICE.

ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS POWERED ON.
PUSH THE PAIR BUTTON.
THE RED BLUETOOTH INDICATOR STARTS TO FLASH RAPIDLY.
ENABLE BLUETOOTH FUNCTIONALITY ON YOUR DEVICE. (SMARTPHONE, TABLET, COMPUTER).
ON YOUR DEVICE, SELECT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH FROM THE BLUETOOTH LIST AND ACCEPT PAIRING.
THE BLUETOOTH INDICATOR ON THE SPEAKER TURNS TO A STEADY RED AND THE UNITS ARE NOW CONNECTED.

BLUETOOTH AUTO CONNECTION

IF A BLUETOOTH-CONNECTED DEVICE IS MOVED OUTSIDE THE RANGE OF THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH (APPROXIMATELY 10 METRES WITHOUT OBSTACLES), IT IS DISCONNECTED. THE DEVICE IS AUTOMATICALLY CONNECTED AGAIN WHEN IT IS MOVED BACK WITHIN RANGE.

THE SPEAKER STORES UP TO SIX DEVICES AND TRIES TO CONNECT TO THE LAST CONNECTED BLUETOOTH DEVICE FIRST. FOR EXAMPLE, IF THE SPEAKER HAS BEEN CONNECTED TO THE DEVICES: A–B–C–D–E–F, DEVICE F IS GIVEN FIRST PRIORITY, WHILE DEVICE A IS GIVEN LAST PRIORITY. EVERY TIME THE SPEAKER STARTS UP, IT WILL DO AN AUTO CONNECTION OF DEVICES WITHIN ITS RANGE.

CONNECTING SOUND SOURCE VIA CABLE

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO CONNECT TO YOUR STANMORE BLUETOOTH THE OLD-FASHIONED WAY, USING A CABLE. USE ONE OF THE TWO AUDIO INPUTS AVAILABLE: INPUT 1 – 3.5MM STEREO PLUG, INPUT 2 – RCA ANALOGUE INPUT.

INPUT 1 – 3.5MM STEREO PLUG
USE THE DOUBLE-ENDED COIL CORD WITH 3.5MM PLUGS TO CONNECT TO EXTERNAL AUDIO SOURCES.
INPUT 2 – RCA ANALOGUE INPUT
USE THE RCA ANALOGUE INPUT TO CONNECT TO YOUR CD PLAYER, TURNTABLE (WITH RIAA), OR SONOS UNIT.
NOTE: RCA CABLE IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH AND MUST BE PURCHASED SEPARATELY.

INPUT 1- 3.5MM STEREO PLUG

ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS TURNED OFF.
CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE 3.5MM STEREO PLUG TO THE INPUT
LABELLED INPUT 1 ON THE SPEAKER.
CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE 3.5MM STEREO PLUG TO THE MUSIC
PLAYER AND TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
SELECT INPUT 1 AS THE SOURCE BY PUSHING THE SOURCE BUTTON
UNTIL THE INPUT 1 INDICATOR IS LIT (SEE PAGE 018.).

INPUT 2 – RCA PORTS

ENSURE THAT THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH IS TURNED OFF.
CONNECT THE CORD WITH THE RCA PLUGS TO THE RCA INPUTS (LEFT AND RIGHT) ON THE BACK OF THE SPEAKER.
CONNECT THE OTHER END OF THE CORD TO THE RCA OUTPUT ON YOUR SOUND SOURCE AND TURN ON THE SPEAKER.
SELECT INPUT 2 AS SOURCE BY PUSHING THE SOURCE BUTTON UNTIL THE INPUT 2 INDICATOR IS LIT (SEE PAGE 018.).

CHOOSING YOUR SOURCE

THE INPUT SOURCE THAT IS CURRENTLY SELECTED IS SHOWN BY A LIT INDICATOR. TO SELECT A DIFFERENT SOUND SOURCE:

PUSH THE SOURCE BUTTON TO CHOOSE YOUR SOURCE AND/OR TO SWITCH BETWEEN CONNECTED SOURCES.
A LIT INDICATOR SHOWS WHICH SOURCE YOU HAVE SELECTED.

TROUBLESHOOTING

THE STANMORE BLUETOOTH DOES NOT TURN ON.	The speaker is not connected to AC mains.	Ensure that the STANMORE BLUETOOTH is plugged into a working AC wall socket, see page 009.
THERE IS NO SOUND	Wrong input for audio source is selected.	Change the selected sound source, see page 018.
	Sound source not connected via Bluetooth or cable.	Connect the sound source to the speaker, see 012 or 015.
	Volume is set too low on either the sound source or the STANMORE BLUETOOTH.	Slightly increase the volume on your sound source, then slightly increase the volume on the speaker, see 019.
THE SOUND IS TO LOW	The audio cable is not properly connected.	Ensure that the audio cable is properly connected, see page 015.
THE SOUND IS TO LOW	Volume is set too low on either the sound source or the STANMORE BLUETOOTH.	Slightly increase the volume on your sound source, then slightly increase the volume on the speaker, see 019.
THERE IS A CRACKLING SOUND	The amplifier is clipping if it runs out of power.	Decrease the volume on your sound source.
		Lower the volume or bass
		boost on the STANMORE
		BLUETOOTH, see page 019.

THE SOUND IS DISTORTED	Volume is set too high on the sound source.	Turn down the playback volume on the sound source.
	The sound file (mp3) is of poor quality.	Try another sound file (mp3) or music player.
	Volume is set too high on the STANMORE BLUETOOTH.	Lower the volume on the STANMORE BLUETOOTH, see page 019.
	Too much bass/treble boost on the speaker.	Lower the bass/treble on the STANMORE BLUETOOTH, see page 019.
ERRATIC PERFORMANCE	Interference from another electronic device.	Move the STANMORE BLUETOOTH to another spot.
ERRATIC PERFORMANCE		Turn off or move the interfering electronic device.
CANNOT CONNECT OR PAIR WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE	The two Bluetooth devices are too far apart.	Move the devices closer so that they are within10 metres, and unobstructed by obstacles such as walls or doors.
	Bluetooth is not enabled on your device.	Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your device.
	The pairing timed out.	When the pairing button is pressed, the STANMORE BLUETOOTH searches for devices for 3 minutes, see page 012.

CANNOT CONNECT OR PAIR WITH A BLUETOOTH DEVICE	Your device prompts you for a pin code.	In most cases, you do not need to enter the pin code when connecting the Bluetooth device to the STANMORE BLUETOOTH.
		If the window for entering the pin code is displayed, use the STANMORE BLUETOOTH pin code 0000.
	Your device only supports Bluetooth HF (hands-free) area function.	The speaker cannot connect using Bluetooth HF area function. Try instead to connect using the included coil cord, see 015.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTION DROPS OUT	The two Bluetooth devices are too far apart or the connection is affected due to obstacles.	Move the devices closer so that they are within10 metres, and unobstructed by obstacles such as walls or doors.
BLUETOOTH CONNECTION DROPS OUT	There is a strong electric field surrounding the STANMORE BLUETOOTH.	Items such as microwave ovens, wireless network adapters, fluorescent lights and gas cookers use the same frequency range as the Bluetooth device. This may lead to electrical disturbances.

Yes they’re 100% original, the sound is amazing, however the construction materials can be better.

Yes !!! The box is (your going to laugh) is really collectible, it’s sealed in the Marshall logo box, that if I haven’t already stated enough………is really cool , and what’s inside is even cooler, wait, the box doubles as a beer cooler.

Is it the original Marshall or a replica?

It’s the original Marshall Major 2 Bluetooth headphones. Took 5 months for the battery to die on me (also used the cord. Direct wire connection is slightly better sound quality then Bluetooth)

Are these on-ear or over-ear headphones? The title says on-ear, but the comparison chart says over-ear. Can anyone clarify?

these are ON-EAR Bluetooth headphones. sound is great, the only downside, after a couple of hours are a little tight…but still i would buy them again

is it with a mic built-in or not? Can I use it for calling?

Yes, it has a mic built-in on the cable it is shipped with and it works perfectly for calls. The cable is removable, which is very good.

How can i be assured that i will receive a genuine product?

The item is sold by Marshall within the amazon Storefront. My headphones are legit. I have also watched videos between real and fake and it is an obvious difference. It doesn’t have any of the lag issues with the fake units as well tension on the headphone springs is strong enough to hold them in place.
