Yes, all the Tiamat line of headsets have fully retractable, unidirectional boom microphones attached to the left ear cup.

How many drivers are in the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 headsets?

The Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 is a stereo headset with double the bass power from two bass additional drivers tuned specifically for bass over the two stereo drivers to deliver powerful stereo sound. The Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 is not a surround sound headset.

What kind of ear cushions does the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 use?

The Razer Tiamat headsets are designed with circumaural leatherette ear cushions for maximum comfort. It also has a memory foam that conforms perfectly to your ears for a snug fit.

What type of drivers are in the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 Headsets?

The Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 is comprised of 4 x 50mm Titanium coated diaphragm with Neodymium magnets, two of which are discrete subwoofer drivers for maximum bass impact. By putting you closer to the action, your immersion with the game is absolute.

  • A full range 40mm drivers with neodymium magnets and a Titanium coated diaphragm for bass.
  • A full range 30mm drivers with neodymium magnets for front and center.

What is the difference between 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound?

5.1 surround sound consists of a center, left, right, side left surround, side right surround and the subwoofer channel.

7.1 surround sound consists of center, left, right, side left surround, side right surround, surround back left, surround back right, and the subwoofer channel.

What is the difference between the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 and 7.1 versions?

The Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 features dual speakers in each ear cup with enhanced bass response (2 x Left and Right drivers + 2 x Subwoofer drivers).

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 features 10 discrete drivers to deliver true 7.1 surround sound experience.  A Sound Card installed on your PC is needed to experience the true full surround sound functionality of the Tiamat 7.1.

Is the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 headset analog or digital?

The Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 is an analog headset that comes with two 3.5mm audio cables for the following channels: Line-In (green), and Microphone Out (pink).

No, the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 does not have an Audio Control Unit, it does have an in line volume controller located along the cable.

Does the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 have the Razer Chroma feature?

No, the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 does not have a lighting feature and does not support Razer Chroma. However, if you desire Razer Chroma enabled headset, the Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 does feature Razer Chroma lighting.

Is the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 compatible with other platforms?

Yes, the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 is compatible with PC, MAC, Xbox One, PS4, and Mobile devices that support a 3.5mm audio jack.

Can I flip up to mute the mic of the Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2?

No, and we made it that way because the annoying click sound that all flip to mute microphones makes. We created the Tiamat 2.2 V2 for the best user experience, and that includes removing any unnecessary elements.

Troubleshooting

How do I replace the damaged or worn-out ear cups on my Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2?

If your headset is still in warranty, you may contact customer support to have your ear cups replaced. Kindly prepare a photo of the earcups for documentation.

However, do note that ear cups that show normal wear from extended use cannot be replaced under warranty. This also applies to ear cups that show signs of excessive dirt, liquid spills, physical damage or other abuse.

If your headset is no longer covered by our warranty period, you may purchase replacement earcups at the Razer Store.

How do I clean my Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2 headset?

We cannot say with certainty what type of dirt and debris may be on your product, or how certain cleaning products may react with it, but we have had good luck cleaning Razer products using commonly available monitor cleaning wipes.

  • To clean the body of your Razer headset, gently wipe it with a monitor wipe.
  • Do not scrub the surface of your Razer headset.
  • When cleaning the earpads, make sure that the earcup and speaker do not get wet, as this can cause damage to your headset.

Where do I download the software drivers for my Razer Tiamat 2.2 V2?

The Razer Tiamat headsets are analog headsets and do not require software drivers of any kind. The USB plug on the Razer Tiamat 7.1 versions are solely used to power the control assembly.
