Can I connect my optical audio equipment to Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop?

The Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop has a Mini-3.5mm Lineout / Optical out port which will support that.

Optical out port is a standardized optical fiber connector smaller than the standard square TOSLINK connector commonly used in larger consumer audio equipment. The plug is almost the same size and shape as the ubiquitous 3.5 mm stereo minijack. Adapters are available to connect a full-size TOSLINK plug to an Optical out port socket.

What is the main difference between Razer Core X Chroma and the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop?

The Razer Gaming Desktop is a standalone PC that features the Next Unit of Computing (NUC) that includes a 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9980HK, 750W power supply, four USB 3.2 Type-A ports, and Gigabit Ethernet ports while the Razer Core X Chroma requires a laptop to work.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting ticking noise from top area of Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop after power on?

Ticking noise may come from the fans at the top section when it is obstructed by GPU power cable. Turn off the Tomahawk Gaming Desktop and secure GPU power cable position.

I cannot see my integrated GPU after I connect with my discrete GPU and power up to OS.

Go to BIOS by pressing “F2”, advanced > Video and select “IGFX” as a primary display.

My Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop Cannot power up, why?

  • Ensure that the GPU is supported.
  • Ensure that the GPU is inserted securely.
  • Check the cable connectors are all securely plugged in for GPU and CPU.
  • Check that the power connector is securely plugged in.

Why is there rattling noise from the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop?

Check if the noise is coming from the NUC or Discrete graphic card.

Can I use the quick release handle to carry the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop?

The quick-release handle is intended for opening the system only. This should not be used as a carrying handle. Instead, lift the Razer TomahawkGaming Desktop from the bottom of the system when transporting the Gaming Desktop.

What type of GPU can be inserted in the Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop and how do I do that?

The Razer Tomahawk Gaming Desktop does not include a graphics card unless purchased with the product. If you own a graphics card, make sure it can fit inside the chassis. The peak height of your graphics card should not exceed 5.51” (approx. 140mm) and should have at least 1” (approx. 25mm) allowance for the power connector/s.
