Frequently Asked Questions

  • How stable is the connection with the soundbar? Has anyone experienced gaps in the playback?
The wireless connection from our sound bar to the receiver for the rear speakers has been solid. We have experienced absolutely no gaps or dropped connections. I did have to raise the volume for the surround speakers (do this in the soundbar settings) to the max which is 6. We are amazed at the quality of the sound. Well pleased with the purchase.
  • How long are the cables or can I make my own?
The speaker wires are more like 10 feet long. Both of them. If you want to run one speaker on the other side of a room, you’re gonna have to splice the speaker wire to make it longer.
  • Can I use other speakers with this unit?
Yes, but check the rated power of the speakers versus the rated power of the receiving Bluetooth amp so you don’t damage either of them.
  • Will this work with a Samsung HW 550 soundbar?
If you have the HW-H550 you are out of luck. The HW-M550 works with the SWA-8500S wireless speakers. Go to the Samsung web page and you can find what soundbars are compatible with the SWA-8000, SWA-8500S, and SWA-9000S/ZA wireless rear speakers. I have the MS-650 sound bar and SWA-9000S/ZA rear speakers. I really enjoy the sound.
  • Which rear speakers go with the QR70 sound bar?
I looked up the HW-Q70R sound bar on Samsung’s home page and it shows the SWA-8500S rear speaker kit for that bar.
  • Do these create actual surround sound or just “accent” sound?
The rear channels are discrete in other words it is a true surround.
  • Does this product only work w designated Samsung soundbars?
Yes, it has to match the correct sound bar … the newer sound bars hook up surround via the app which requires the newer surround speakers.
  • Could I use my own speakers with the wireless receiver? I have speakers in the ceiling so I want to keep them.
It depends on the efficiency of your ceiling speakers. If they are high in efficiency, you can use them. If they are less than 89 DB, you may not hear them even at max volume.
  • I want to sync Samsung q80r with ceiling speakers (likely sonance mag6r). by buying the rear kit will it allow the bar & ceiling speakers to sync?
The setup I had synced up but the ceiling speakers have a transmitter sort of box that the ceiling speakers are hardwired to. Said transmitter syncs up to the sound bar and woofer
  • Will these work with a Vizio sound bar?
It’s not the best system. It’s hard to keep the Samsung sound bar and these speakers connected via Bluetooth with a Samsung tv.
