Installation Instructions

Prepare for Installation

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • DO NOT use a power drill for installation!
  • Use a screwdriver to remove a product from packaging.
  • Install and test lock with door open to avoid being locked out.
  • Pay special attention to step 1. If the lock is installed with the cam in the wrong position, the lock will not function properly!

a Check door dimensions.

See consumer.schlage.com/Service-Support for door preparation instructions if dimensions are different.

b Adjust bolt length, if necessary.

Measure the dimension shown. If the measurement is 2Cv” (70 mm), extend the bolt.

Change faceplate, if necessary

Choose the drawing that matches your door edge. If the hole has no mortise, change to the circular faceplate.

Install Lock

  1. Rotate baseplate cam to correct position.

  2. Install bolt.

  3. Install keypad.

  4. Route wire through a hole in baseplate.
  5. Install baseplate.
  6. Connect wire and 9V battery.
  7. Place battery in holder and tuck wires.
  8. Install cover.
  9. Install reinforcement plate and strike into door jamb.

Test Lock

a Lock (extend bolt).

Yes, but the deadbolt may not function properly. If the deadbolt is installed in a metal door, the lock will not function properly.

How do I reset my Schlage keypad lock be365?

The battery press the schlage. Button on the front of the lock. And reconnect the battery and press and hold the schlage. Button until it lights green and the lock. Beeps.

How do I change my 4-digit Schlage be365 lock code?

Press the Schlage button and press the number 2 key. Wait for the Schlage button to light orange three times, followed by 3 beeps. Now enter the 4-digit code you want to change. Then wait for the Schlage button to illuminate orange three times and the lock to beep three times.

Why is my Schlage Keypad Deadbolt not working?

If your Schlage Connect Keypad isn’t working, you can fix the issue by replacing the batteries, disabling Vacation Mode, or performing a factory reset on the lock. However, keep in mind that your Schlage Connect Keypad may not work if you’ve not programmed User Codes.

What does the orange light mean on Schlage lock?

Orange the lock is in programming mode.
Green a correct user code was entered. the programming process is complete.

What kind of battery does a Schlage lock take?

The Schlage Connect™ Smart Deadbolt requires four new AA alkaline batteries, installed on the interior side of the lock. Remove the black battery cover on the interior side of the lock by sliding it up.

Where is the programming code on a Schlage lock?

You can find your Schlage Lock Programming Code on the front of the user manual—usually printed on a white label. If you don’t have the user manual, remove the lock from the door to find the Programming Code—printed on a white label on the back of the keypad assembly.

Do Schlage locks have alarms?

Schlage’s FE51 grade 2 lever lock contains both a deadlocking latch for security and an alarm system in the same unit. Whenever the door knob/lever is disturbed, the FE51 will sound a 90 db alarm for approximately 15 seconds.

How do I connect to Schlage WIFI?

Navigate to the menu in the app and click Wi-Fi Adapters. 2Click the “+” in the top right corner of the page. 3Take note of the 8-digit programming code located on the back of your Wi-Fi Adapter – you’ll need it for setup. 4Plug in your Wi-Fi Adapter within 40 feet of your Schlage Sense Smart Deadbolt.
