Installation Precautions
- Check local surveillance laws before installation.
- Install only according to these instructions. Improper installation can create hazards.
- Do not overreach when installing this product. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control in unexpected situations.
- Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles during installation.
- Keep the installation area clean and well-lit.
- Keep children and bystanders out of the area during installation.
- Do not install when tired or when under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication.
Use Precautions
- This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with or near this item.
- Use as intended only.
- Do not modify.
- Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
Camera Safety Warnings
- To prevent electric shock, do not attempt to disassemble the Camera. There are no serviceable parts inside.
- Do not expose the RJ45 to rain or wet conditions. Water entering the RJ45 will increase the risk of electric shock.
- Do not abuse the RJ45. Never use the cord for unplugging the plug from the outlet. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
- Handle the Camera with care. The camera could be damaged by improper handling or storage.
- People with pacemakers should consult their physician(s) before use. Electromagnetic fields in close proximity to the heart pacemaker could cause pacemaker interference or pacemaker failure.
- The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors that cannot be built into this product but must be supplied by the operator.
Service

Installation Instructions
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK: Unplug the RJ45 from the NVR and verify the installation surface has no hidden utility lines before drilling or driving screws.

Before Mounting
- Connect the camera to the NVR and make sure it functions properly.
- Test the Camera in the intended location before mounting. When planning mounting location and angle:
a. Take into consideration the length of the Cable. Route the cable so as to avoid a tripping hazard.
b. Choose a location high enough so that it is out of reach of children, but still covers the desired viewing area. c. To avoid mounting the Camera upside down, make sure the Hood is above the Lens.
d. Make sure no strong light will shine directly into Camera Lens. - Using the Mounting Base as a template, mark locations of mounting holes on the mounting surface
Mounting
Note: Drill bits and Drill sold separately.
Note: Verify that the installation surface has no hidden utility lines before drilling or driving screws.
Solid Surface
- Using a drill bit slightly smaller than the Screws, drill pilot holes into the marked locations.
- Position the Camera so that mounting holes align with pilot holes.
- Drive Screws through mounting holes in the Base and into pilot holes until the Camera is securely attached to the mounting surface.
Hollow Surface
- Using a drill bit the same diameter as the Anchors, drill holes in the marked locations.
- Tap Anchors into the holes until they are almost flush with the mounting surface.
- Position the Camera so that Mounting Holes align with anchor holes.
- Drive Screws through mounting holes in the Base and into anchor holes until the Camera is securely attached to the mounting surface.
Camera Adjustment
- Using an Allen wrench (sold separately), loosen the Position Screws (one on each side) and rotate the Camera as needed so that the recorded image is properly orientated. Once aligned, tighten the screws securely.
- Loosen the Vertical Screw and tilt the camera up or down. Once the Camera is aligned, tighten the screw securely.
- Loosen the Horizontal Screw and pan the Camera left or right. Once the Camera is aligned, tighten the screw securely.
Cable Connection
Using the RJ45 Cable, connect the Camera to the NVR.
CAUTION! Route the cable so as to avoid a tripping hazard.
Note: The RJ45 cable carries power from the NVR to the Camera and video from the Camera to NVR.
Note: The Service Cable is for factory service only. Not for normal use.
Operating Instructions
Read the ENTIRE IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION section at the beginning of this manual including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product.
- Refer to the NVR instructions for operating the Camera.
- The Camera will operate continuously while the RJ45 cable is plugged in.
- When not using the camera, unplug the RJ45 Cable.
Inspection, Maintenance, and Cleaning
Procedures not specifically explained in this manual must be performed only by a qualified technician.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK: Unplug the Camera from the NVR before inspection, maintenance, or cleaning.
- PERIODICALLY, inspect the general condition of the Camera. Check for:
• loose hardware,
• damaged cord/electrical wiring,
• cracked or broken parts, and
• any other condition that may affect its safe operation. - PERIODICALLY, wipe external surfaces of the Camera with a clean cloth.
- Maintain the area surrounding the Camera, making sure obstacles don’t interfere with visibility, such as overgrown bushes.
Troubleshooting

To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase date and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of returning the product.
