When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions.
  2. To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not put the Motor body of Cordless Hand Mixer, Charger adapter, cord, or electrical plug in water or other liquid.
  3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  4. Turn the appliance OFF before assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. To unplug the charger, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
  5. Do not use an extension cord. Plug charger directly into an electric outlet.
  6. Use only with the charger provided with the appliance. Do not attempt to use this charger with any other product. Likewise, do not attempt to charge this appliance with any other charger.
  7. Do not incinerate this appliance even if it is severely damaged. The batteries can explode in a fire.
  8. Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beaters and accessories during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons or damage to the Cordless Hand Mixer.
  9. Do not operate any appliance or Charger adapter with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at their customer service telephone number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.
  10. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by KitchenAid may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
  11. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
  12. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter.
  13. Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in operation.
  14. Do not let cord contact hot surface, including the stove.
  15. Remove beaters or accessories from the Cordless Hand Mixer before washing.
  16. Refer to the “Care and Cleaning” section for instructions on cleaning the surfaces in contact with food.

ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS

Charger adapter:
Input: 120 Volts 60 Hz
Cordless Hand Mixer:
Voltage: 12 Volts

NOTE: If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

LITHIUM-ION BATTERY OPERATED PRODUCT DISPOSAL
Always dispose the battery operated products according to federal, state, and local regulations. Contact a recycling agency in your area for recycling locations.

GETTING STARTED

BEFORE FIRST USE

  1. Charge the battery until the Battery status indicator turns solid green.
  2. Clean all the parts. (see “Care and Cleaning” section).
  3. Remove all packaging materials, if present.

BATTERY STATUS

Full Charge:
The Cordless Hand Mixer will be fully charged in 2 hours. The Battery status indicator pulses when it charges and turns to solid green with a full charge.
The Cordless Hand Mixer will prepare approximately 200 cookies, based on 4 batches of chocolate chip cookies when following the recommended battery maintenance.

Quick Charge:
In 10 minutes the Cordless Hand Mixer will quick charge. The Cordless Hand Mixer will stir up a cake batter recipe with one quick charge when following the recommended battery maintenance.

NOTE: Make sure to charge the battery, when the Battery status indicator is yellow.
NOTE: It is best to store the Cordless Hand Mixer at room temperature.

BATTERY CHARGING

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

  1. IMPORTANT: Make sure that the Speed controller is at “O” position before attaching and removing Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II.
  2. There are two Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II. One is without a collar (A) and another with a collar (B).
  3. Insert the Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II without a collar (A) into the smaller opening (C) and Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II with a collar (B) into the larger opening (D). Align and push to lock into place. Both the Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II will click in.

PRODUCT USAGE

NOTE: Make sure the Cordless Hand Mixer is charged before use.

  1. Always start mixing at the lowest speed, and by sliding the Speed controller, increase the speed according to the recipes.
  2. To increase the speed, slide the Speed controller forward ( ). To decrease the speed, slide the Speed controller backward ( ).
  3. When finished, slide the Speed controller to “O” position.

CARE AND CLEANING

IMPORTANT: Make sure the Speed controller is at “O” before attaching or removing Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II.

  1. Press the Eject button to release the Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II from the Cordless Hand Mixer.
  2. Always remove the Stainless steel turbo beatersTM II from the Cordless Hand Mixer before cleaning. Wash in dishwasher, or by hand in warm, soapy water. Rinse and wipe dry.
  3. Wipe the Cordless Hand Mixer with a damp cloth. Dry with a soft cloth.

NOTE: To avoid damage to the Cordless Hand Mixer, do not immerse in water.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

Problem Solution
If the Cordless Hand Mixer fails to start: Check if the product is charged.
Charge the battery when the Battery status indicator is red or when the Battery is completely drained.
If the Cordless Hand Mixer is not getting  charged: If you have a circuit breaker box, make sure that the circuit is closed.
If the problem cannot be corrected: See the “Warranty and Service” sections.
Do not return the Cordless Hand Mixer to the retailer. Retailers do not provide service.

KITCHENAID® CORDLESS HAND MIXER WARRANTY FOR THE 50 UNITED STATES, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, PUERTO RICO, AND CANADA

This warranty extends to the purchaser and any succeeding owner for the Cordless Hand Mixer operated in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

Length of Warranty: One Year Full Warranty from date of purchase.
