Modem Information

DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem

32×8 channel bonding

To achieve Gigablast or Ultimate Classic speeds, a DOCSIS 3.1 modem is required

After the cable modem successfully registers on the network, the Power, Upstream, Downstream, and Internet indicators illuminate continuously to indicate that the modem is online and fully operational. For more details, refer to the Modem Lights section.

The modem includes the following connection ports:
  • Ethernet – Connects to the Gigabit Ethernet cable.
  • Reset – Use this button in the unlikely event that you want to restore the default factory settings. This button is recessed to prevent accidental resets of your modem. (login/Reset instructions)
  • Cable / Internet – Connect your coaxial cable line to this port.
  • Power – Connect the supplied power cord to this port.
  • On / Off – Turns modem on and off.

MAC Address

The MAC Address and Serial Number information is located on the bottom of the modem.

Troubleshooting

The lights indicate the current status of your gateway. To troubleshoot any connection problems, use the table below.

Power

Off No power
Green None
Red The cable modem is too warm and might overheat
Downstream

Blinking Green Scanning for downstream channel
Solid Amber None – connection established on one channel
Solid Green None – operating on more than one channel
Off Downstream channel inactive
Upstream

Off Upstream channel inactive
Blinking Green Scanning for upstream channel
Solid Amber None – connection established on one channel
Solid Green None – operating on more than one channel
Internet

Off Modem offline
Blinking Green None – scanning for configuration parameters
Solid Green None – operational
Ethernet

Off A device is not connected to the Ethernet port on the back.
Solid Green None – A device is connected to the Ethernet port.
