In the box

Setting Up Your Network Extender

1. Review these 4G LTE Network Extender Requirements

  • Internet Access: High speed wired broadband with minimum download speed of 10 Mbps and upload speed of 5 Mbps, 20 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up or higher is recommended.
NOTE: Home satellite broadband access is not supported.
  • A Router/Modem: The Network Extender must be connected to an available LAN port on a router or modem with always-on internet access.
  • GPS signal: The Network Extender requires a continuous GPS signal from the provided GPS antenna.

2. Position Your Network Extender
Consider these factors when choosing a location for your Network Extender:

  • For best results, place your Network Extender near a window where a strong GPS signal can be acquired. You can use the enclosed extension cable, if needed, to position the antenna near a window. See the Troubleshooting section of this guide for instructions.
NOTE: A GPS signal is necessary for the Network Extender to work properly and to provide your location if you dial 911 in an emergency.
  • Place your Network Extender at least 10 feet away from products that generate electromagnetic radiation (e.g., a microwave oven).
  • Your Network Extender needs to be plugged into a wall outlet.
  • The 4G LTE Network Extender can be placed on a flat surface, such as a table or shelf, or mounted to the wall or ceiling.
NOTE: Optional wall mount and ceiling mount brackets sold separately on verizonwireless.com.

3. Connect Your 4G LTE Network Extender

  1. Plug one end of the provided Ethernet cable into an available LAN port on your router and the other end to the LAN port on your Network Extender.
  2. Plug the power supply connector into the 12V DC power port located at the rear of the Network Extender.
  3. Insert one end of the power cord into the power supply and then plug the other end into an available outlet.

4. The Network Extender will turn on automatically. When it does, startup and self-configuration will begin. This will typically take 30 – 60 minutes depending on GPS signal conditions. During that time, the Power/Status indicator will blink blue.

NOTE: If an error message appears on the LCD display, or if Startup takes longer than an hour, please refer to the Startup Troubleshooting table in this guide.

After successful startup, the indicator will return to solid blue and the display will show “In Service”. Press the display button to see additional information about your Network Extender.

Making Calls Using Your 4G LTE Network Extender

Other Messages and Troubleshooting Tips

GPS Troubleshooting

If your display still shows “Searching for GPS” after one hour, or you get a GPS error message

  • Make sure that your Network Extender is at least 10 feet away from any communication devices or appliances that generate electromagnetic radiation (e.g., Wi-Fi routers or microwave ovens).
  • If you have another Network Extender, make sure their GPS antennas are at least 150mm apart.
  • Make sure your Network Extender is close to a window. If necessary, use the included 23’ GPS extension cable to position the GPS antenna as close to a window as possible. Follow the steps below to attach the GPS extension cable:
    a. Firmly slide the GPS antenna cover off, as shown, to expose the rectangular GPS antenna.
    b. Disconnect the GPS antenna. Connect one end of the extension cable to the antenna and connect the other end to the Network Extender where the antenna was originally connected.
    c. Replace the cover, being careful to position the cable through the notch provided. Then extend the cable, with the antenna on the end and place the antenna close to a window.

NOTE: If it has taken more than two hours to acquire a GPS signal, please check the GPS signal strength on the Admin website. If the signal is weak, please see the user guide for additional troubleshooting steps.

TV Installation

Mounting the TV on a wall

If you mount this TV on a wall, follow the instructions exactly as set out by the manufacturer. Unless it is correctly mounted, the TV may slide or fall and cause serious injury to a child or adult and serious damage to the TV.
For models providing wall mount adapters, install them as shown in the figure below before installing the wall mount kit.

  • Refer to the installation manual included with the Samsung wall mount kit.

  • Samsung Electronics is not responsible for any damage to the product or injury to yourself or others if you choose to install the wall mount on your own.
  • You can install your wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the floor. Before attaching the wall mount to surfaces other than plaster board, contact your nearest dealer for additional information. If you install the TV on a ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe personal injury.
  • Standard dimensions for wall mount kits are shown in the table on the next page.
  • If you are installing a third-party wall mount, note that the length of the screws you can use to attach the TV to the wall mount is shown in column C in the table on the next page.
  • When installing a wall mount kit, we recommend you fasten all four VESA screws.
  • If you want to install a wall mount kit that attaches to the wall using two top screws only, be sure to use a Samsung wall mount kit that supports this type of installation. (You may not be able to purchase this type of wall mount kit, depending on the geographical region.)
TV size in inches VESA screw hole specs (A * B) in millimeters Standard Screw Standard Screw Quantity
55 200 x 200 M8 M8 4
65 400 x 400

Do not install your wall mount kit while your TV is turned on. This may result in personal injury from electric shock.

  • Do not use screws that are longer than the standard dimension or do not comply with the VESA standard screw specifications. Screws that are too long may cause damage to the inside of the TV set.
  • For wall mounts that do not comply with the VESA standard screw specifications, the length of the screws may differ depending on the wall mount specifications.
  • Do not fasten the screws too firmly. This may damage the product or cause the product to fall, leading to personal injury. Samsung is not liable for these kinds of accidents.
  • Samsung is not liable for product damage or personal injury when a non-VESA or non-specified wall mount is used or when the consumer fails to follow the product installation instructions.
  •  Do not mount the TV at more than a 15-degree tilt.
  • Always have two people mount the TV onto a wall.
Providing proper ventilation for your TV

When you install your TV, maintain a distance of at least 10 cm between the TV and other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation. Failing to maintain proper ventilation may result in a fire or a problem with the product caused by an increase in its internal temperature.
When you install your TV with a stand or a wall mount, we strongly recommend you use parts provided by Samsung Electronics only. Using parts provided by another manufacturer may cause difficulties with the product or result in injury caused by the product falling.

Installation with a stand Installation with a wall mount
Attaching the TV to the Stand

Make sure you have all the accessories shown, and that you assemble the stand following the provided assembly instructions.

Safety Precaution: Securing the TV to the wall to prevent falling

Caution: Pulling, pushing, or climbing on the TV may cause the TV to fall. In particular, ensure your children do not hang on or destabilise the TV. This action may cause the TV to tip over, causing serious injuries or death. Follow all safety precautions provided in the Safety Flyer included with your TV. For added stability and safety, you can purchase and install the anti-fall device as described on the next page.

WARNING: Never place a television set in an unstable location. The television set may fall, causing serious personal injury or death. Many injuries, particularly to children, can be avoided by taking simple precautions such as

  • Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.
  • Only using furniture that can safely support the television set.
  • Ensuring the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
  • Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.
  • Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.
  • Educating children about the dangers of climbing on furniture to reach the television set or its controls.

If you are retaining and relocating the television set that you are replacing with this new set, you should apply the same precautions to the old set.

Preventing the TV from falling

  1. Using the appropriate screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the wall. Confirm that the screws are firmly attached to the wall.
    – You may need additional material such as wall anchors depending on the type of wall.
  2. Using the appropriately sized screws, firmly fasten a set of brackets to the TV.
    – For the screw specifications, refer to the standard screw part in the table under “Mounting the TV on a wall”.
  3. Connect the brackets fixed to the TV and the brackets fixed to the wall with a durable, heavy-duty string, and then tie the string tightly.
    – Install the TV near the wall so that it does not fall backward.
    – Connect the string so that the brackets fixed to the wall are at the same height as or lower than the brackets fixed to the TV.

Device Layout

Set up Your Device

Learn more about your device hardware, assembling and charging, and how to get started using your new device.

Charge the Battery

Your device case is also the charger.

  1. Place the earbuds into the charging case. For best results, do not insert earbuds in the charging case if they are wet or dirty.
  2. Close the charging case, and either connect the USB cable as shown, or place the charging case on a wireless charger. The earbuds and charging case are charged simultaneously.

CAUTION: The charging head for plugging the USB cable into a wall outlet is not included. Use only Samsung charging devices rated with an output voltage of 5v and an output current of over 150mA (sold separately). Samsung accessories are designed for your device to maximize battery life. Using other accessories may cause damage, and damage may not be covered by warranty.

While charging, the device and the charger may become hot. This does not affect the device’s lifespan or performance and is in the device’s normal range of operation.
Remove the device from the charger and wait for the device to cool down. For more information, visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00076952.

NOTE: Do not disassemble, modify, or repair your device. Placing objects, such as magnetic stripe cards, including credit cards, phone cards, passbooks, and boarding passes, next to the device or charger may cause damage from the charger or device’s magnetic field.

Check the Charge Status

When you connect the earbuds and the charger case the LED indicators flash certain colors to indicate the battery level.

  • Green: Fully charged or above 60% battery.
  • Yellow: Between 30 and 60% battery.
  • Red: Charging or below 30% battery.
  • Flashing Red: Charging error. Reconnect the case and earbuds. If the error occurs again, contact a Samsung Service Center for service support.

NOTE: You can check the battery level for the case and earbuds in the Galaxy Wearable app. For more information, see Battery level.

Wireless PowerShare

Wirelessly charge your device using a supported Samsung smartphone. Some features are not available while sharing power.

  1. From the smartphone, open the Notification panel and, tap Wireless PowerShare to enable this feature.
  2. With the smartphone face down, place the device on the back of the smartphone to charge. A notification sound or vibration occurs when charging begins.
NOTE: Wireless PowerShare works with most Qi-Certified devices. Requires minimum 30% battery to share. Speed and power efficiency of charge varies by device. May not work with some accessories, covers, or other manufacturer’s devices. If you have trouble connecting or charging is slow, remove any cover from each device. May affect call reception or data services, depending on your network environment.

For best results when using Wireless PowerShare, please note:

  • Remove any accessories or cover before using the feature. Depending on the type of accessory or cover, Wireless PowerShare may not work properly.
  • The location of the wireless charging coil may vary by device, so you may need to adjust the placement to make a connection. When charging starts, a notification or vibration will occur, so the notification will help you know you’ve made a connection. During charging, do not move or use either device.
  • Call reception or data services may be affected, depending on your network environment.
  • Charging speed or efficiency can vary depending on device condition or surrounding environment.
  • Do not use headphones.
Attach the Wing Tip

Before wearing the earbuds, be sure to attach the wing tips. Wearing the earbuds without wing tips may hurt your ears.

  1. Select the wing tip size that best fits your ear.
  2. Hold the wing tip for the left or right ear in one hand, and the corresponding earbud in the other.
  3. Hook the wing tip’s groove to the earbud’s fixation hook on one side and gently pull the wing tip to cover the earbud. Do not pull the wing tip excessively when you attach or detach it because it may tear.
  4. Follow the same procedure for the other earbud.
Wear the Earbuds

Place the earbuds in your ears correctly for a comfortable fit.

  1. Select the right or left earbud, and insert the lower half (with the speakers) into the bottom part of the corresponding ear.
  2. Tuck the top half of the earbud (with the wing tip)Â in the upper part of your ear. Adjust for a comfortable fit. The touch-sensitive sensor will detect that you are wearing the earbuds when you put them on and emit a sound.
Coupling Earbuds

Should you lose one of the earbuds, you can buy a replacement and couple the old and new earbuds together.

  1. Insert the earbuds into the charging case. The earbud battery indicator light will flash red to indicate that the earbuds are not coupled.
  2. Tap and hold the touch area on both earbuds for seven seconds or more. When the earbud batter indicator light flashes green and then turns off, the earbuds are coupled and ready for use.

Start Using Your Device

To start using your earbuds connect them to your device.
