Control Functions

Note:
RX / TX mode can only be successfully switched after the adapter is turned off for 3 seconds. After the switch, the pairing history of the devices will be cleared.
- You can freely switch between SPDIF and AUX mode.
- In SPDIF mode, connect devices through SPDIF IN for TX mode and SPDIF OUT for RX mode.

How to Use
Charging
- Connect the Micro USB end of the charging cable to the charging port of the Bluetooth ® adapter.
- Plug the USB end of the charging cable into a USB charging port or any active USB port.
- The LED indicator will turn red when charging. It will automatically turn off when the device is fully charged.
Note:
- You can use the adapter while it is charging.
- We recommend charging the unit for at least 2 hours before using it for the first time.
Pairing
Pair in TX mode:
- Set the TT-BA09 to TX mode and connect it to your non-Bluetooth ® audio transmitting device.
- Place your Bluetooth ® audio receiving device, like earphones or speakers, within a 3 feet / 1-meter range and set it to pairing mode.
- Turn on the TT-BA09 and tap the power button twice to enter pairing mode. After approximately 10 seconds, the pairing will be complete.
Pair in RX mode:
- Set the TT-BA09 to RX mode and connect it to your non-Bluetooth ® audio receiving device.
- Turn on the TT-BA09 and tap the power button twice to enter pairing mode.
- Activate the Bluetooth ® function on your transmitting device – phone/tablet, and search for the nearby Bluetooth ® devices:
• For iOS: Settings > Bluetooth ® > On
• For Android: Settings > Bluetooth ® > On > Scan for devices - Find “TaoTronics TT-BA09” in the search results and tap on it to connect. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid blue.
Note:
- The adapter will enter pairing mode automatically when powered on for the rst time.
- The original pairing memory will be cleared after a mode switch. It will automatically start pairing each time it’s powered on.
- If a PIN code is required for pairing, try 0000 (four zeroes), 8888 (four eights), 1111 (four ones), or 1234.
- The adapter can remember previously paired devices and will attempt to pair with devices automatically, without going into pairing mode.
Pair with two devices at the same time In TX mode:
In TX mode, the adapter is able to pair with two Bluetooth ® stereo earphones/speakers at the same time.
- Follow the previous instructions in the “Pairing” section to pair the TT-BA09 with your first device.
- Turn of the Bluetooth ® function on your first device, tap the Power Button twice to pair and connect to your second device.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth ® function on your atrst device. In approximately 10 seconds, the atrst device will automatically connect in.
Note:
- When you pair with two devices, both can play music at the same time.
- The adapter will automatically re-pair when powered on.
In RX mode:
In RX mode, the adapter is able to pair with two Bluetooth ® devices at the same time.
- Follow previous instructions in the “Pairing” section to pair the TT-BA09 with your first device. Disable the Bluetooth ® function on your first device.
Tap the Power Button twice to pair with the second device. - Turn on the Bluetooth ® of the first device, now the TT-BA09 adapter is successfully paired with both devices.
Note:
- Only one device can play music at any time. You have to stop the music on one device to play on the other.
- The adapter will automatically re-pair when powered on.
Care and Maintenance
- Do not expose the adapter to direct sunlight or extreme heat.
- Do not try to take the adapter apart. It may cause serious damage.
- Do not drop or knock the adapter on hard surfaces as it may damage the interior circuitry.
- Do not use chemicals or detergents to clean the product.
- Do not scrape the surface with sharp objects.
Troubleshooting
My adapter will not power on:
Please recharge it and make sure the adapter has enough battery power.
Plug the unit into a charger and see if the LED indicator turns red.
I am having trouble pairing and connecting to my Bluetooth device.
Please check the following:
- Your Bluetooth ® device supports the Bluetooth ® proles listed in the specifications.
- The adapter and your device are next to each other or within 3 feet / 1 meter.
- The adapter is in pairing mode; this is indicated by the LED ashing in red and blue alternately.
After connecting and pairing with my Bluetooth ® device, I cannot hear any music from my sound system.
Please check the following:
- Your sound system is connected to the adapter via the 3.5mm Audio Cable.
- Make sure the music volume is at an audible level on both your Bluetooth ® device and sound system.
- For some systems, you may need to select “AUX” or “Line-in” as the audio input mode.
- Please make sure your audio device is playing music via Bluetooth ®. Some devices (such as computers) require manually selecting the music output mode.
Can I use the TT-BA09 adapter while it is charging?
Yes, the adapter is designed to be used while charging. The internal circuit is protected from over-charging.
Warranty
This product is covered by the TaoTronics Product and Labor Warranty for 12months from the date of its original purchase. If manufacturing defects occur, please contact TaoTronics support ([email protected]) immediately to launch a warranty claim. We will instruct you on how to return the defective unit back to us for repair or replacement. No return will be accepted without seller authorization.
The following are excluded from TaoTronics warranty cover:
- Device purchased as 2nd hand, used, or from unauthorized sellers
- Damage resulted from misuse and abusive action
- Damage resulted from chemical, are, radioactive substance, poison, or liquid
- Damage resulted from natural disaster
- Damage caused to any 3rd party, person, object, and beyond
