Please read this instruction manual thoroughly before using this appliance! Follow all the safety instructions to avoid damage caused by improper use.

Keep the instruction manual for future reference. Should this appliance be given to a third party, then this instruction manual must also be handed over.
Use this appliance solely for its intended purpose.
This appliance is intended for household use only.
Only use this appliance indoors.
Danger of electroshock! Do not immerse the appliance, power cord or power plug in water or in other liquids.
Do not place the appliance in the direct vicinity of liquids – e.g. bathtubs and sinks, in a damp basement or close to a swimming pool.
Do not start up the appliance with damp hands or if you are standing on a wet floor. Never grasp the power plug with damp or wet hands.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for possible damages that may have been caused by incorrect usage or mishandling of the appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they don’t play with the appliance. Keep the appliance away from all hot surfaces and naked flames.
Do not place any objects on the appliance. Don’t put objects with naked flames (such as candles) on or next to the appliance.
The appliance shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no object filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the appliance.
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.
Do not use the appliance if it is damaged. To avoid hazards, defective components must only be replaced by the manufacturer, his customer service or similar qualified persons.
Do not dismantle and repair the appliance by yourself.
Do not insert any foreign objects into the housing.
Do not cover the appliance while in use.
This appliance should be only operated with the type of power source indicated on the marking label. The marketing label is located at the bottom enclosure of the appliance.
Always turn the power off before plugging the appliance into the power outlet or unplugging it.
Prevent damage to the power cord by not squeezing, bending or rubbing it on sharp edges. Keep the cord away from hot surfaces and open flames.
Always pull the plug, not the power cord when disconnecting the appliance from a power outlet.
Plug the appliance into an easily accessible socket, so that you can disconnect it quickly from the mains, in the event of an emergency. Unplug the appliance from the power socket to switch it off completely. Use the mains plug as a disconnecting appliance.
If the appliance malfunctions due to electrostatic discharge or short-term over voltage, disconnect it from the power supply and connect it once again.
Unplug the appliance during lightning storms or when unused for a long period of time.

BATTERY SAFETY

Only use Alkaline or rechargeable batteries.
If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth and dispose of them accordingly. Ensure that leaking battery acid does not come into contact with skin and eyes. If you do get battery acid in your eyes, flush them thoroughly with lots of water and consult a physician immediately! If battery acid comes into contact with your skin, wash the affected area with lots of water and soap.
Danger of explosion! Batteries must not be charged or reactivated by other means, taken apart, thrown in the fire or short-circuited.
Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures such as from direct sunlight or fire. Do not place the appliance on a heater. Leaking battery acid can cause damage.
Caution! There is a danger of explosion if the batteries are inserted incorrectly. Use only the same battery types with the corresponding technical data to replace them.
Do not use old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or that are from different manufacturers together.
Always insert batteries in accordance with the correct polarity (+ and -) as illustrated in the battery compartment.
Batteries are life-threatening if swallowed. Store all batteries out of the reach of small children and domestic animals. Seek medical help immediately if batteries are swallowed.
Do not allow children to change batteries without adult supervision.
If the battery compartment door does not secure closely, stop using the appliance and keep it away from the children.
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
If the device is not to be used for an extended period of time, then the batteries should be removed, as the device could become damaged should they leak.
If the device functions weaken, replace all batteries.
Remove the batteries prior to disposing of the device.
Batteries do not belong in household waste! Expired batteries must be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and according to the applicable legal regulations.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Unpack the appliance and check if all parts are there and undamaged. Should this not be the case, return the product to Kmart for replacement.
Danger of suffocation! Keep all packaging materials away from children.
Dispose of the packaging materials properly. Inform yourself at the local authorities regarding collection points or garbage separation.
Remove all protective foils and packaging material prior to use.

POWER SUPPLY

Insert the AC adapter into a AC 100V-240V ~ 50/60Hz mains outlet and the other end of the cord into the DC 5V jackhe n the back of the unit.

INSERTING BATTERIES FOR MEMORY BACKUP

It is advisable to fit batteries (not supplied) in the battery compartment to prevent the loss of the
display time and settings during a power failure. During a power failure, the unit can save the time.

Disconnect the radio from power.
Drive out the screw on the battery cover.
Remove the battery compartment door and insert 2 x AAA size batteries, matching the polarity (+ and -) as shown in the battery compartment .
Replace the battery compartment door.

Note: When operating with batteries only, the display will be blank and the clock will only remain accurate for a short period of time. The clock accuracy will decrease due to the voltage drop of the backup batteries. It is important that the mains supply is restored as soon as possible. If no backup batteries are installed or the power interruption is prolonged, you will need to set the clock again.

SETTING THE CLOCK

Press the button (1) to put the Radio into standby mode.
To set 12H or 24H system, press and hold the SET button (6), press the (3)or(4) button to select, press the SET button (6) again to confirm.
The hour digit will flash repeatedly press the (3) or (4) button to set the correct hour digits.
Press the SET button to confirm the hour setting and the minute digits will flash to prompt for input.
While the minute digits are flashing, repeatedly press (3) or (4) button until the correct minute digits are displayed.
Press the SET button (6)again to complete the clock setting.

SETTING THE ALARMS

Press the button (1) to put the Radio into standby mode.
Press and hold the (7) or (9)button until the hour digits blinks.
The Alarm ringing indicator will light depending on which alarm is chosen.
NOTE:press and hold the button (7) for Alarm 1 press and hold the button (9) for Alarm 2
When the hour digits blinks, press the(3) or(4) to adjust your desired hour digits.
Press the(7) or (9)button to save the hour setting, the minute digits will blink.
When the minute digits blink, press the (3) or (4) button to minute digits.
Press the(7) or(9) button to save the minute setting.
Press the (3) or(4) button to select the wakeup mode for buzzer (showing “buzz”) or radio(showing “rAd”) Press the (7) or (9) button to save.
Press the(3) or (4) button to select the wakeup volume.
Press the(7) or (9) button to save and finish setting.

STOP THE ALARM RINGING
When the alarm rings, pressthe button (1) to stop ringing.

TURNING THE ALARM ON/OFF

Press thebutton (1) to put the Radio into standby mode.
Press the (7) or(9) button to deactivate the alarm. The previous presets will be cancelled and you can follow the alarm setting steps to reset the alarm.

SNOOZE FUNCTION

When the alarm rings, press the SNOOZE button once. The alarm will stop ringing and ring again after 9 minutes.

SLEEP TIMER

The sleep timer allows you to turn the unit off after the preset time is reached.

Select the desired radio station set the volume to the comfortable level.
Press the SNOOZE button repeatedly to select a sleep time. Each time the button is pressed, the sleep time will be decreased in 10 minute increments. The unit will play for the selected period of time then automatically turn off.
NOTE: Press SNOOZE(8) to show the remaining time.
To cancel the Sleep timer function, press SNOOZE button (8) repeatedly until “OFF” appears on the display.

FM OPERATION

Press the button (1) to turn on the Radio.
Press the AM/FM button (2) repeatedly to select the FM mode. The FM frequency indicator will light up.
Press and hold either the (3) or (4) button to automatically search for a station, it will stop and play when a station is found. NOTE: Press the (3) or (4) button repeatedly to fine tune the received station.
Press and hold the MEM button (5), “P01” will blink on display, then press the (3) or (4) button to select the storage location.
Press the MEM button (5) again to confirm the setting.
Repeat steps 3 – 5 to search for, and store the desired stations. 20 stations can be stored in total.
Or press and hold the SET (6) button to scan and store the available stations automatically.
Press the MEM button (5) to recall the stored stations, then press the(3) or (4) to select the desired station.The LED display will show the frequency of the preset station selected. Then the unit will start playback.
Adjust the sound level by pressing the (7) or (9) button.
NOTE:
Fully extend and relocate the FM antenna (11) to get better

AM OPERATION

Press the button (1) to turn on the Radio.
Press the AM/FM button (2) repeatedly to select the AM mode. The FM frequency indicator will turn off.
Press and hold either the(3) or(4) button to automatically search for a station,it will stop and play when a station is found.
Press and hold the MEM button (5), “P01” will blink on display, then press (3) the(4) button to select the storage location.
Press the MEM button (5) again to confirm the setting

DIMMER FUNCTION

Put the unit into standby mode, press the SNOOZE button to adjust the LED display brightness to high or low level.

CLEANING AND CARE

Danger of electroshock!
Do not immerse the appliance in water or in other liquids.

Wipe the housing with a dry, soft cloth.
Do not use petrol, alcohol or other abraisive cleaners to clean the device.
Always pull the plug and remove batteries before storage.

What is the difference between the Anko Alarm Clock Radio and the Anko Alarm Clock Radio with Bluetooth?

The Anko Alarm Clock Radio with Bluetooth has the ability to connect to your smartphone via Bluetooth.

How do i set up the alarm on my Anko Alarm Clock Radio?

A: To set up your alarm, you will need to press the “Alarm” button on the top of your clock radio. You will then be prompted to set your time and date. Once this is done, you will be able to set up your alarm.

How do i set up my sleep timer?

A: To set up your sleep timer, you will need to press the “Sleep” button on the top of your clock radio. You will then be prompted to set how long you want it to run for (1-60 minutes). Once this is done, you will be able to use it.

What does each light mean?

A: The light next to each button indicates which function is currently active. For example, if the light next to “Alarm” is lit, then that means that the alarm is currently active. If no lights are lit, then none of the functions are active at that time.

What does each sound mean?

A: Each sound that comes from your clock radio has a specific meaning. For example, when you hear a bell sound, it means that an alarm has been triggered or snoozed and needs attention. When you hear a beeping sound, it means that there is a problem with one of your settings or functions (e.g., if you hear a beeping sound when trying to turn off your alarm).
