Clock radio

Explanation of Graphical Symbols:

The lightning flash within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert you to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute an electric shock to a person or persons.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert you to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product .

Important Notes

  • This safety and operating instruction should be retained for future reference.
  • The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing or placed in a humid atmosphere such as a bathroom .
  • Do not install the product in the following areas :
  • Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to radiators.
  • On top of other stereo equipment that radiate too much heat.
  • Blocking ventilation or in a dusty area.
  • Areas where there is constant vibration .
  • Humid or moist places .

  • Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected

For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel .
Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  6. Power sources -This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated by the marking adjacent to the power cord entry . If you are not sure of the type of power supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local power company.
  7. Water and moisture – To reduce the risk offire or electric shock, do not expose the product to rain, dripping, splashing or excessive moisture such as in a sauna or bathroom. Do not use this product near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming pool (or similar).
  8. Object and Liquid Entry- Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings, as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-circuit parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. Do not place any object containing liquid on top of the product.
  9. Servicing- Do not attempt to service this product yourself, as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  10. Replacement parts-When replacement parts are required, ensure that the service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.
  11. The highest environmental temperature suitable for this product is 35°C.
  12. ESD hints – If the product maybe reset or not reset to operation of control due to electrostatic discharge, just switch off and reconnect again, or move the product to another location.

  9. If the system is brought directly from a cold to a warm location, or is placed in a very damp room, moisture may condense on the lens inside the player. If this occurs, the system will not operate properly. Please leave the system turned on for about an hour until the moisture evaporates.
  10. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the finish. Wipe with a clean, dry or slightly damp cloth.

CONNECT POWER
CAUTION

  • Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or underside of the clock radio.
  • Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord.

SET TIME

  1. Press and hold time set button for two seconds.
  2. Press hour or minute button to select 12/24 hours and then press time set button again to confirm setting, and then skip to hour setting.
  3. Press hour and minute button to adjust the hour, which you desired.
  4. press time set button again to confirm setting, then skip to minute setting which is same as hour’s setting operation
  5. press time set button to confirm and quite the setting operation.
  6. The setting will be confirmed automatically if no button is used within 3 seconds.

Listen to FM radio
For better reception, fully extend and adjust the position of the FM antenna wire. Press power/function button to turn on or off FM radio, press volume+/- button to adjust the output volume level.

FM tuning: press tuning+/- button two seconds to scan the available station automatically. Short press the tuning+/- button to adjust the station frequency per 0.1 MHz.

Store FM radio stations manually: when you tuned a favorite radio station, press and hold memory button to activate the storing mode, press tuning+/- button to select the preset station number (P 01 ~ P 40), press memory button again to confirm and save the current FM station. In order to pick up a preset FM station for listening, short press the memory button repeatedly for switching.

All-in-one tuning (auto scan and save station): long press the snooze/dimmer/sleep button 2 seconds to scan and save the available station automatically. It can save up to 40 preset station maximum.

Sleep: in radio mode, short press the snooze/dimmer/sleep button repeatedly to adjust the sleep time between 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90/off circularly, short press the button again to review the sleep remaining time. The radio will off automatically when the sleep time is being.

Alarm operation
Before start alarm setting, please make sure you have set up correct clock time. You can set up two separation alarm timers according to following.

  1. Long press the alarm1 button 2 seconds to activate the alarm setting mode, then the hour digits will flash on display, press the hour and minute button to adjust the hour setting, press the alarm 1 button again to confirm and skip to minute setting which is same operation as hour’s setting. Using and repeat the same operation to finish the rest setting for alarm source (buzz/Radio) and volume (1 ~ 12), short press the alarm 1 button again to confirm and quite the alarm setting mode .
  2. The operation method is same for alarm 2 setting, but you need long press the alarm 2 for starting.
  3. In case of you set up the alarm successfully, the relevant alarm indicator will light up on display.
  4. When alarm is activate and ring up, press power/function button to cancel the sound, and the alarm will ring up again tomorrow when the time is on.

Note:
Please do not remove the power; otherwise, the alarm will be disappeared base on no battery power inside.

SNOOZE: When alarm sounds, press SNOOZE to activate the snooze time for 9 minutes. The AL 1 / AL2 indicator keeps blinking.

Display brightness (Dim) adjustment: in clock mode, long press the dimmer button repeatedly to select high or low brightness level.

Battery back-up
(For Temporary Time Storage Only)
Install 2 x LR06, AA or EU-3 battery (not included) according to polarity shown inside the battery compartment. In the event of a power interruption, your set will not work normally from the mains supply but there is now the advantage that your clock will continue to work. The clock display will not light up, as the clock time will be held in the memory. This also enables you to move the set from place to place without re-setting the clock every time. The battery back-up system is only
meant to be used from short temporary power interruption. For longer durations, the battery may become exhausted or there may be some deviation in accuracy. When the battery is exhausted, it should be removed from the set to prevent leakage. If you do not wish to take advantage of the battery back-up system, your set will work normally without a battery.
However, if disconnected from the mains, the clock figures will flash when the mains are reconnected and you must re-set the clock as described in the Electronic Clock Operation paragraph. Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Don’t throw used batteries in dustbin. Please contact your retailer in order to protect the environment.
