  • Wash in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clean water or dishwasher (top rack only).
  • For cleaning other bottle parts, use a closer to nature teat and spout brush.
  • Once you have cleaned your bottles they are ready to sterilise.
  • All bottle components should be sterilised.
  • All bottle components are suitable for sterilisation by steam (electric or microwave) boiling or cold water tablet/liquid sterilisation.
  • Do not clean wit harsh chemicals.
  • Do not allow product to come into contact with oil based foods (e 9 oil/tomato based sauces) as staining will occur.

  • DO NOT USE TEAT BRUSH or any other implements to clean the easi-vent valve/the feeding hole as damage such as slits and tears may occur. However, performance of the teat may be affected if the easi-vent valve is not cleaned thoroughly after each use. Ensure valve is flushed with the warm water during cleaning.
  • When assembling your bottle it is important that you can check that the slit in the silicone has not sealed closed. If it has been sealed closed, pinch it gently between your fingers to re-open. If the valve has sealed closed your bottle will not vent property.

STORAGE AND USE

  • Inspect before each use and pull the feeding teat in all directions. Throw away at the first signs of damage or weakness.
  • Keep all components not in use out of reach of children.
  • For safety and hygiene reasons it is recommended that the feeding teat is replaces at least every 2 months.
  • Do not store or leave in direct sunlight or near a source of heat or leave in disinfectant (sterilising solution) for longer than recommended, as this may weaken the teat.
  • Do not store with or allow to come into contact with solvents or harsh chemicals.
  • Not suitable for use in conventional oven or a combination microwave oven with the grill feature switched on

The monitor has the ability to monitor your baby’s movements via the highly sophisticated movement sensor pad. It is designed for use in a cot with a flat, filrm base. It should not be used in a travel cot, swinging crib, moses basket, or with a hollow or foam-free mattress.

  • Place the sensor pad between the cot mattress and the cot base, directly under the area where your baby will be sleeping.
  • Ensure the sensor pad is positioned the correct way up and that the connecting cord is fed through the base of the cot out of accessibility range of your baby (50cm from the surface of mattress) and other young children.
  • If the cot has a solid base it may be necessary to make a small hole through which the connecting cord can pass.
  • Ensure the connecting cord plug is pushed fully into the socket underneath the baby unit.
  • Do not hang cable over the top or through the bars of the cot.
  • Place the cable down and onto the floor.

IMPORTANT !

Before each use, you must ensure that your water tank is above the minimum fill mark.
Always use cold water when filling the water tank, other than when cleaning.

HOW TO KEEP THE TANK COOL
The Perfect Prep should be kept in a cool dry location, avoiding direct sunlight and keeping away from warm appliances. This is recommended to avoid the water tank temperature getting too warm.
Don’t worry if your temperature light does illuminate, as we have some tips for you:

1 Flush your cold tap for 10 seconds before filling the water tank.
2 Regularly top up with cold water rather than letting a full tank stand and warm for long periods of time.
3 Keep a cold jug of tap water in the fridge ready to top up the tank.

HOW TO STOP THE PERFECT PREP™ MACHINE

If at any point you need to stop the Perfect Prep machine you can do so by pressing the start/stop button. The pump may continue to run for a few seconds and the green light will illuminate to show that the process has ended.
It will not be possible to restart the machine for 20 seconds. If you have to stop the Perfect Prep machine, please discard of any incomplete feed.

CLEANING

We recommend you complete a cleaning cycle every 4 weeks, whenever you replace your Tommee Tippee water filter or if the machine has been unused for a period of 7 days.
TIP: carry out the cleaning process when your tank empty light is illuminated (L) so there’s no need to discard any water.

Remove lid, hopper (G) and bottle stand (F) and set filter to one side (top side down). Clean the external machine surface with a clean  cloth (we advise to use an antibacterial solution), taking care to clean in all grooves and under the dispenser spout (C). At this time the hopper  (G), lid and bottle stand (F) should also be cleaned using hot soapy water, rinsed thoroughly, and allowed to dry naturally (do not use cloths or tea towels to dry).

Using a cold water sterilising solution (following manufacturer guidelines for using 1.8 litres of water) add required amount to the water tank. Fill the water tank to the max line with cold water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout (C).

TIP: If using a container less than 1.8 litres capacity you can press the start button (A) to pause the cleaning cycle, allowing you to discard of the contents.

Once this is done, insert the hopper and follow SET UP steps 1-15 (no need to use step 9a or 12 if re-fitting currentTommee Tippee filter).

REPLACING YOUR FILTER

We recommend that you complete a cleaning cycle, whenever you replace your Tommee Tippee water filter. Your unit comes with a Tommee  Tippee water filter which lasts 150 liters (this is approximately 3 months based on 6 x 260ml feeds per day). Replacement Tommee Tippee water filters are available from all Perfect Prep stockists. Using this machine without a water filter or with a non Tommee Tippee water filter could put your child’s health at risk.

DESCALING

The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance.

A red warning light will illuminate when the unit requires descaling soon.
If the light flashes, you should descale immediately

  1. Remove the filter.
  2. Fill the water tank with 0.5 litres of clear white vinegar (food grade).
  3. Place a suitable container under the spout.
  4. Press the descale button for 2 seconds. The system will now run a descale process.
During this process, the red descale light will continue to flash.
  5. At the end of the descaling process, a beep will sound and the descale light will switch off.
  6. The red cleaning mode light will now flash.
  7. Follow the SETUP steps 1-15 (no need to use step 9a or 12 if refitting current filter)

FAQS

Do you leave the filter in the hopper when running the bi-weekly cleaning cycle if filter is not being changed?

Yes. There is a little light the comes on that tells you when the filter needs to be changed. It’s usually around 3 months, depending on the size of bottles you’re using and how often you use it

why does this item swap from 60 to 79.99 at checkout??

The price depends on cokour and sometimes the tax isn’t included untill checkout

Can we choose a machine that indicates ml ? and not oz?

No it only comes in ml.

Does the perfect prep machine run off of 12v?

It has a plug and runs of mains electricity.

What is the Watts on this?

It doesn’t tell you the whattage.

The water light on the side of the machine isn’t working. Why is this?

Probably the water is too hot

does this comes with a european plug?

To be honest unsure as bought as a gift but being a UK purchase wouldn’t imagine so.

How do u empty the water out of the hopper?

You need to pick up the whole machine and pour it out. There’s no easier way or alternate way to do it.

What does calc light mean?

It means that the unit needs to be descaled. You do it with water and white vinegar. The instructions are included.

Which temperature?

It initially puts boiling water in, then adds cool to produce a bottle at a ready to drink temperature.

The initial hot shot is boiling water? Or just hot? cause sterilization requires boiling water right? I’d love to buy but need to be sure it’s safe

boiling

Does this one with a filter?

Yes, it comes with a filter in the box that you fit during setup. In requires replacement after around 3 months and the machine has an indicator that lights up when the filter needs to be replaced.

Is there any warranty ?

Yes there is

Do you have to use cooled boiled water to fill the machine or water straight from the tap?

Water straight from the tap, there’s an in built water filter & the machine instantly boils the correct amount of water which it then adds cold water to reach the perfect temperature. It’s so easy.

Does this sterilise the bottle as well?

No you still need to sterilise your bottles as per normal. The hot shot is enough to sterilise the formula but not the actual bottle itself.

What is the temperature of the “hot shot” of water (if anyone could possibly check would be greatly appreciated)?

It’s boiling water so the powder is sterilised.

The Gro clock explained…

Stay in bed – When you activate your Gro clock, stars, and hearts appear around a sleeping Ollie. To show the passing of time, the stars disappear at even times during sleep or nap time.
Time to get up – When the clock reaches the wake-up time that you set, the stars disappear, and Ollie wakes up, meaning your child can get up.
After Ollie wakes up, it will remain displayed for two hours, before changing to the energy-saving mode where the digital clock is displayed until re-activated.
The Gro clock has two options – night-time sleep mode and day-time nap mode.

You only need to pre-set the wake-up times you want once (Step 3), but you need to activate the clock (Step 4), each time you use it.
Daily activation of the clock soon becomes part of the bedtime routine and needs to be done in order to set your Gro clock.
Use your bedtime storybook to help explain the Groclock to your child.

Frequently asked questions

Q. If the power is turned off, does the clock remember the correct time?
A. When the power goes off, the clock ‘freezes’ all the settings, including the main time, the wake-up times, and brightness settings. Therefore if the power goes off for a few seconds and then back on, the time will have been paused for a few seconds. However if the power was off say for 3 hours, then the time will be out by 3 hours and will therefore need resetting.
Q. If I need to keep the power on should I worry about electricity consumption?
A. Your Groclock uses LEDs so it’s naturally energy efficient. It also has a built-in energy-saving mode.
Q. What is the difference between the night–time and day–time nap mode?
A. The Groclock works the same way in both modes. The two modes enable two different ‘wake up’ times to be stored, this does not need to be daytime it could be an alternate night-time.
Q. Is there a demo mode so I can show my child how Ollie changes when he wakes up?
A. Yes! To set the demo mode press and hold the scroll up button for three seconds. To turn off the demo mode, press and hold the scroll-up button for three seconds.
Q. My screen has frozen and is not responding to the controls.
A. Switch the Groclock off at the mains, wait a few seconds and switch back on.

FAQs

Where is the best place to keep my Perfect Prep?
The Perfect Prep should be kept in a cool, dry location, avoiding direct sunlight and kept away from warm appliances. This is recommended to avoid the tank temperature getting too warm.
What does the hotshot do?
The hotshot helps to dissolve the formula powder quickly and easily, it also kills bacteria that may be present in the formula itself. The water dispensed in the hot shot is at a temperature of over 70°C.
How often do I need to change the filter?
On average the filter should last around 3 months, however, this depends on the frequency of use and what size bottles you are preparing.
Why do I have to use a Tommee Tippee filter?
Most standard water filters do not include an anti-bacterial filtration membrane, so even if they fit in your machine, they will NOT remove the same level of bacteria.
Why do I need to submerge the filter before first use?
Submerging primes the filter before use, ensuring that any air bubbles or loose particles within the filter are removed prior to use.
How long can I leave unused water in the tank?
Water is a foodstuff. We recommend using it within 1-2 days.

Dos and Don’ts

It is essential that good hygiene practices are observed in the use and maintenance of your Perfect Prep Machine.

✗ When topping up the hopper, do not fill beyond the max icon.
✗ Be careful not to spill any water on the outside of the machine.

To use your Perfect Prep, simply fill it with water to the line indicated on your unit, plug it in and press down on the lid until you hear it click into place. After scrubbing away any residue, rinse out all of the soap from inside of your unit and allow it to air dry for 24 hours before using it again.

Why does my water leak out of my Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep?

If you are having trouble with water leaking out of your unit, make sure that you have filled it to just below the water line indicated on your unit before placing any bottles inside of it or else this will cause water to leak out onto your countertop or table when you place bottles inside of it later on. You should also make sure that you have pushed down on each bottle until they reach just below the water line as well before placing them inside of your unit as this will prevent any milk from leaking out onto your countertop or table later on as well. If you are still having trouble with leaks after filling up your unit properly, try adding some white vinegar into one side of your unit while leaving the other side empty so that air bubbles can form in between both
